I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional service provided by Visiting Angels. From the moment we engaged with them, the team exhibited understanding, kindness and a sympathetic personal touch.
The manager and carers went above and beyond to ensure that our family's needs were met. Their
professionalism combined with patience, warmth and genuine compassion has set a standard that I have not come across before in other care agencies.
The dedication of the entire team is evident in the thoughtful and tailored approach they take to address individual needs. The managing director's hands-on involvement reflects his commitment to excellence.
I wholeheartedly recommend Visiting Angels to anyone seeking home help. Their exceptional service, made me breathe a sigh of relief when leaving my loved one in their hands.

I was at a very low ebb in my life having recently lost two close members of my family in quick succession. I have been suffering from poor health for many years and I felt like I was on the edge and in a very dark place. Despite taking a multitude of medication I decided to seek help with my personal
care because I was increasingly unable to do various simple day to day tasks.

I found a website online and filled out my details with little hope of a response. To my surprise I got a call from the manager at Visiting Angels Barnet. Although his care agency is private, and I was unable to afford his fees he nonetheless took time to speak to me. I also spoke to the care manager and they both promised to help me because they could see I had in effect 'fallen below the radar' within the system. Not long after speaking to them I got a call from my local social care team who wanted to carry out an assessment of my needs.

Subsequently, I received follow up calls from the manager at Visiting Angels Barnet to check on my health and to get an update with regards to my care. Again, they took time to listen to me and put me at ease by reassuring me that I should now get the help I needed. I could not thank them enough for all they had done for me because they went out of their way to help me. Thanks to them I am now getting the care I need from my local council in terms of a long-term care package and more recently the care manager has painstakingly went out of her way to ensure that I would shortly be contacted by an occupational therapist to assess whether I qualify for equipment in the home so as to make it easier to live my life.

I would like to say that very rarely has someone taken a genuine interest in my well-being and I am very grateful to Visiting Angels Barnet for that.

Finally, I would definitely recommend Visiting Angels Barnet to anyone looking for personal care.

My six month experience of Visiting Angels has been reliable, positive and enjoyable, They have cooked my main meal at midday five times each week and have done it well. They have also provided conversation and chitchat, which is valuable for those who live alone. I have always been shown courtesy and
kindness by the individuals I have met, who have all been trained to a high standard. They have been quick to learn how I like things cooked. I have already recommend Visiting Angels to friends in a similar position to myself.

We have had to get care for my dad after a fall and a fracture to the spine. We needed the extra support and it all happened very fast and we didn’t have a clue whom to approach. After getting contact details for Visiting Angels we were all out at rest with the care, the quality and accommodating us
almost last minute and attention to detail for what we required etc.
All the carers took amazing care of my dad and we and him were really happy with the service provided. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs the care and help.

Great service, lovely team, Mum was overly anxious approaching a care company but has been great so far 6 weeks in. She absolutely loves the carer, who's a bouncy ball of positive energy and cannot say enough good things.

I would like to thank Visiting Angels for their support in helping me to recover from a major operation back to full independence. From the get-go the can do attitude of the management team, their flexibility and brilliance in matching a carer to fit in with my needs and personality, was amazing. A
special thanks to my carer, who always went above and beyond to ensure my well-being and happiness. I would recommend her and the company to anyone seeking care.

Excellent and reliable. Wonderful kind carers for my wife who has Parkinson’s and dementia. Nothing was too much trouble. You never know what to expect in a difficult situation but the all round care from the head office to the carers was first class.

My mother had a severe stroke, lost her husband and was forced into a nursing home where she suffered terribly. Fortunately, someone from Visiting Angels visited me and gave me lots of advice on how we could care for my mother at home, with support from Visiting Angels. The Angels visited my home and
explained how they would match my mother with a carer that was suited to her and what we would need in our house to meet her needs. It was such a bewildering time in my life and Visiting Angels were really helpful and supportive.

The care team look after my mum very well. They communicate any issues to me and help in terms of liaising with third parties such as the NHS. I find the team to be professional and I am happy to recommend them.

Visiting Angels have recently started looking after my 89-year-old father. They have treated him with dignity and kindness, which greatly assists my wife and I, following him moving into our busy family home, from a care home. Have a reliable and carefully picked team of carers and we very much recommend
them.

I cannot praise the manager, one other staff member and the team highly enough. From the very beginning, they have been professional, helpful and approachable. They have been providing my parents with excellent support for a couple of months now and are coping amazingly with my father's Alzheimers.
I am truly thankful to have found them and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

My personal experience of carers and caregiving, both good and bad, has made me realise how varied the level of care can be and how confusing and worrying it is for families just trying to do the best for their loved ones. I am committed to supporting those who need to make difficult decisions and helping them understand their entitlements and options so that they don’t repeat my experiences.

I am also committed to providing the best level of care, in the home, with great carers who are looked after and because of that provide continuity.

And that’s why, after a successful career in both big and small businesses, including my own, I decided to change direction and do something with Visiting Angels that is more than just a job and gives something back.

My hands-on role is to run and grow the business and make sure that Rosie and her team have what they need.

I’ll also be working closely with them to see where I can add to the quality of complete care we provide.

Job Title: Registered Care Manager Joined: 2025

I am the Registered Care Manager for Visiting Angels Barnet and Enfield, having completed my Level 5 Diploma in Adult Care Management in September 2024. I have 17 years of experience in the care sector, beginning my career in children’s services before moving into adult services. My transition into adult social care was driven by my personal experience as a family carer for my late father, where I witnessed first-hand the level of support required in palliative and end-of-life care. This has shaped the compassion, understanding, and dedication I bring to my role today.

My professional journey and lived experiences have enabled me to develop strong relationships with carers, family members, medical professionals, and local authorities. I understand the importance of a collaborative approach in ensuring every service user receives the right support while remaining in their own home and community.

I joined Visiting Angels in December 2025 to begin my first registration as a Manager and chose the organisation specifically for its ethos. Visiting Angels is truly care-centric—placing both service users and carers at the heart of every care package. This aligns closely with my own values and vision for high-quality, relationship-led home care.

I am experienced in supporting a wide range of care needs, including Dementia and Alzheimer’s, Autism, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and Complex Care. My passion lies in supporting service users and their families by ensuring they receive compassionate, person-centred, holistic care that alleviates stress during what can be extremely challenging times. I am equally committed to guiding and developing our staff so they feel confident, valued, and equipped to deliver exceptional care.

I aim to continue championing the care-centric approach that Visiting Angels is known for, bringing high-quality, trustworthy, and truly connected home care to the Barnet and Enfield community.
