Right at Home (Bromsgrove Redditch & Droitwich)

As a family, we have been really pleased with the support given to both my parents over the past few months. It is a difficult thing for anyone to accept care into their own home when they have been very independent all their lives but these carers have made this transition seamless. They are kind, thoughtful and very skillful at supporting our dad to remain as independent as possible; at the same time, they have provided emotional support to our mum who is his main carer. Dad really enjoys his trips out and it has been lovely to see his mobility improve and his re-connection with the outside world. We can't thank them enough.

My mother began her care journey with Right at Home over 12 months ago, initially for companionship after my father passed away. The staff were always friendly and caring, going over and above their remit. Eventually, and unfortunately fairly quickly, mom's health began to deteriorate and Right at Home were always supportive and accommodating, particularly when the remit for mom's care was increased and needed to be moved to more specialist requirements. I would definitely recommend this home care provider and we would still be using them now but for mom having to go into a full time care home.

All the staff sent have been aware of our situation with Dad's dementia and the need to keep a calm influence while looking after his needs. As we move forward with Mom returning from hospital, we still need their help, but in different ways and two members of staff in particular were there to make this happen. Also big thanks to a particular carer, she has the patience of a saint!

They managed to set up Dad's care package very quickly after his hospital stay. The staff have been excellent in keeping me informed of Dad's wellbeing and as in his words, 'When things have gone awry', they have responded brilliantly and made sure that the correct assistance is called and stayed with him until they arrive. The company management have been very helpful and adaptive to Dad's needs.

From the beginning, the service has been excellent in every way. It is client-focused and is based on planned needs as well as specific issues if time permits on the day. Visiting staff are very skilled and sensitive with attention to me as an individual and my wife. It is evident that staff are valued by managers of the service and therefore give their best. All round I value what you provide.

The standard of care received is very good. The carers are all happy, kind and considerate. Not knowing what to expect in the beginning, has put everyone at ease.

It was the staff who first flagged to me how severe the situation had become. Their professional experience and awareness was well beyond what a family member or friend could offer. The carer has been looking after him 3x a week since, and Right at Home have been central to the journey we've been on getting my Dad the help he needs. The carer has dealt with the difficult situations that have come up fantastically, and always goes above and beyond to support my Dad - and me. I would trust the carer with absolutely anything and would recommend this service to anyone.

A new connection with Right at Home to provide Mum with a little help! A very helpful, friendly, kind carer comes twice a week to help Mum in and out of the shower, make bed, get breakfast, put washing in, have a chat. So far we are very pleased - long may it last.
