One particularly alarming incident involved a carer who, after hoisting a client into bed, left a lit incense stick balanced across a glass in the bedroom, using a paper tissue beneath to collect the hot ash. This reckless action created a clear and immediate fire hazard and put the client's life at risk. Such behaviour demonstrates a shocking lack of basic health and safety awareness, let alone appropriate care practice.
Unfortunately, this was not an isolated issue. Multiple safeguarding concerns have been raised, yet the agency's response has been inadequate and dismissive. There appears to be a lack of appropriate training, supervision, and internal accountability.
I would urge others to exercise extreme caution when considering this service for a loved one.
My neighbour has been receiving care from Lacura, and I just have to say how impressed we've been. The support has been outstanding, and it's clear that everyone truly cares. The manager has been especially amazing, always approachable, kind, and professional. It's such a relief knowing my friend is in such good hands. We're really grateful for the difference this care has made.
I'm really grateful for LACURA, the manager and the girls they answered my questions with upmost honesty and for looking after my grandad. The staff were caring, reliable, and always treated him with respect. They made sure he was comfortable, and we felt at ease knowing he was in good hands. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone needing care for a loved one.
I needed home care for my uncle and LACURA care shown me that they can provide the care I needed for my uncle and after seeing and speaking to my uncle they are done a amazing job. They are professional and dealt with any issues with a fast and respectful manner with no problems. I would highly recommend this company to anybody that it's looking for a care company that has their patients best interest in mind.
