Bridgewater Home Care (Watford)

Bridgewater Home Care have been providing care and support for my very elderly father for some time. I live some distance away so cannot visit him as regularly as I would like and his daily visits from regular carers are essential to support him in getting washed, dressed and preparing food. The team at Bridgewater are efficient and very helpful. When problems have arisen they have been extremely responsive and resolved them promptly. When my father experienced a series of medical problems recently they kept me updated with daily reports on how he had seemed when the carers visited, helped liaise with his GP and at my request also sent daily photos of the problem areas which we were also able to share directly with his GP. This made arranging home GP visits much more straightforward and helped avoid any need to take him to the local A&E for emergency treatment.

I have been so impressed with Gemma and the team who have looked after my mum since the end of 2025 and they have blown me away with their caring and professionalism. Recently mum was admitted to hospital with a nosebleed and I was told by the ambulance service when I arrived at the hospital that her flat had blood everywhere. I had to be with mum for the day and the thought of returning home to a mess was daunting. I spent ke to Gemma and she arranged a clear up the afternoon and sorted her revised medication for the next morning. When I left mum that night I knew she would be looked after the next morning. What I didn't expect was the over and above willingness of Gemma to return to in the afternoon see how she was and take her flowers and sort her washing out of the dryer. Thank you so much for the peace of kindness you give to relatives and I am so pleased I found you.

Bridgewater provides a highly personalised service, which has been very much appreciated in relation to the specific care needs of our mother. The carers are thoughtful and friendly, and the management team very quick and effective in responding to queries and requests.

My mum absolutely loves her carers. They are really helpful and supportive. Mum has a lunchtime visit, where the carers make sure she eats and drinks. They help make her feel safe and I can go to work, without stressing about her home alone. Thank you for all your help.

Bridgewater Home Care provided care for my mum during her very quick decline due to aggressive cancer. They treated her and the whole family with kindness, respect, dignity and close attention to medical details, alerting us, when necessary, about when to involve medical staff. They responded to her rapidly changing needs and helped the family to understand what to expect at each stage. Above all, my mum said that she felt safe with all the carers.

The managers only employ the best. Their team of dedicated carers accomplish their tasks in the allotted time without rushing the client. The managers are "hands on" managers; there are no ivory towers! This agency really does care.

I A SO PLEASED. The last few weeks that the manager and her wonderful team has cared for my parents has been altogether an amazing experience. My parents forgot how to take their medication and the carers quickly noticed. They needed help organizing things at home and they so gently found a way to offer a caring helping hand. The carers have even taken mum and dad to social events on their own time. I am very thankful for such a caring and professional team. I highly recommend them to anyone with elderly and vulnerable family members that need wonderful carers.

They are extremely flexible when it comes to changes in care for my dad and have helped me by offering solutions to make things easier. I am very happy with the service they provide and feel I can talk to the manager quite comfortably if I have any issues.

The team at Bridgewater Home Care are simply exceptional. Their care, dedication and compassion have been evident in the care they've given to my mother over the last few years. As her condition has deteriorated, they have adapted to her changing needs with skill and patience, treating her with dignity and respect throughout. The family is so grateful to the whole team for their care and cannot imagine how difficult this period would be without their support. In a time of bad press and horror stories, they shine through as inspiring examples of what end of life care can look like, given the right people at the helm.

It's our first time using Bridgewater Watford, and I genuinely can't recommend them enough! We were a little apprehensive initially as my mother-in-law can be quite anxious around unfamiliar faces. However, from the outset, the service was second to none, from our first consultation to meeting the manager/carers who would be looking after my mother-in-law whilst we went away. We'll definitely be using this service again, and thank you again for providing us with a much-needed family break knowing that my mother-in-law was in great hands!

Bridgwater Home Care (Watford) has been looking after my father, with dementia, since February 2024 and they have been extremely helpful, offering him care in the mornings and offering him activities which he really enjoys. Our family can't thank them enough for the service they provide and seeing my father enjoying the time he spends with them.

From the beginning, the attention to detail on the care plan to ensure all needs were met was a relief to us, as a family. The manager and her team are always available on the phone should we need anything. My father-in-law is, most importantly, happy and looks forward to his visits and the activities he is taken to. A lovely carer was provided for my dad with dementia. He got home-based residential respite care, so the carer moved in with my dad in his own home for a long weekend so my mum could go on a trip. I popped in to check on them a couple of times and Dad was very relaxed and happy. We've had issues with care homes because he's even more confused when he's not at home so the home care respite service was perfect for us. I would highly recommend it. Thank you.

My mother has Alzheimer's and the care she has been receiving from the wonderful Bridgewater Home Care team has been outstanding. They treat their clients as if they were their own parents. They put so much thought into creating the right kind of care routine for my mum. The level of communication with my father and with me has been exemplary. The support they are also providing my father, in helping him live with someone diagnosed with Alzheimer's, has made the world of difference. I trust every one of the team completely and their care and support have changed all of our lives for the better. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

We have a son, 34 years old, with CP (cerebral palsy). We started using Bridgewater Home Care services from December 2023. We found them very professional and friendly. To date, all the staff have been brilliant and reliable. We are very grateful for the services and have had a very positive experience to date. We have a son, aged 34 years old, who has been diagnosed with CP. We started using Bridgewater Home Care services around December. We found them very professional and friendly. Initially, we thought the service was quite expensive as we are self-funding. However, our experience, so far, has been nothing but positive. All the staff have been brilliant and we are very grateful for the services, care and support. They carried out a detailed assessment of our son's needs and have gone beyond meeting his needs. He loves the staff and is very positive about them. He not only sees them as carers but also as friends. We would highly recommend their services.
