I simply cannot recommend Oakhaven enough. Narika is precisely the sort of person you need at moments when your precious people are in the middle of a bureaucratic nightmare. As soon as we got her and Oakhaven on board to help us get our terminally ill friend home, everything transformed. It felt as
though we had someone completely on our side and we were not alone anymore. Although the actual period of care was very short, Precious, the carer, was completely in control and reassured us that our beloved friend was in the best possible care.
Reply from Amy Wylie, Registered Manager at Oakhaven Care TottonThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. We're truly honoured to have supported you and your friend during such a difficult time. Narika will be deeply touched to know their care and reassurance made a difference. Thank you for trusting Oakhaven when it mattered most.

It was my friend's last wish to return home and from that first phone call to the office I felt totally supported and guided as to how we might go about this. We had a lovely initial visit at the care home with subsequent assistance with arrangements which took an awful lot of stress out of an already
difficult situation.
With their help, we were able to grant his wish with a full live in care package, sadly only for four day before he passed away.
Despite the brief time, the level of compassion, professionalism and genuine kindness shown was outstanding. From the very beginning, he was treated with dignity and respect, ensuring he was comfortable and supported as possible in his own home.
What truly stood out was their dedication beyond what might be expected, showing a level of care and humanity that goes far beyond routine duty. It meant so much to know that he wasn't just another client, but someone they truly cared about.
I cannot recommend them highly enough! Thank you!
Reply from Amy Wylie, Registered Manager at Oakhaven Care TottonThank you so much for your kind and heartfelt feedback. We were honoured to support you and your friend at such an important time, and it means a great deal to know our team helped make his wish to return home possible. Your words about the compassion, dignity and genuine care shown will be shared with everyone involved. Thank you for your trust and recommendation, and please accept our sincere condolences.

It has been a difficult job persuading my 96 year old Mum of the need for a care package. She is fiercely independent and can sometimes seem a bit uncooperative and resistant to help. Now, some 6 weeks into the arrangement with Oakhaven, she is transformed. All of the carers she has seen on a half
hourly, weekday basis have been proficient, sympathetic and cheerful. Of particular note, and the reason for this review, was the additional, specialist care provided by one of the carers when massaging my Mum's delicate legs. It led to a sincere compliment from her and a call from me to the Oakhaven office to pass it on. Thanks from all of the family.
Reply from Amy Wylie, Registered Manager at Oakhaven Care TottonWe understand how difficult it can be to introduce care, so its wonderful to hear your Mum is feeling happier and more supported. Your feedback about our carers and the specialist care provided means a great deal, and well be sure to share it with the team.

Thank you to all the carers who have helped my mother over the past five months or so. Although I didn't meet all of them, the carers I did meet were very nice and helpful and incredibly kind towards my mother. My family and I very much appreciated their dedication and commitment to my mother.

You have provided care for my frail, elderly mum since June 2025. She is very happy with the kind, caring people who come in to her and I appreciate the support she is given and of me being kept informed of any concerns that may arise. We have always found the office staff very helpful too.

Over the past 18 months my late wife received excellent care and support from the Oakhaven team.
We started using Oakhaven when my wife couldn't dress herself due to her motor neuron disease,
and as she got more ill the amount of care she received increased. On many occasions the carers went
over
and above their duties. I can't think them enough for all their hard work
Reply from Amy Wylie, Registered Manager at Oakhaven Care TottonThank you for your kind words. We are honoured to have cared for your wife and grateful for the trust you placed in us. Our team always strives to go above and beyond, and your appreciation means a great deal.

Oakhaven carers have been nothing but fantastic in looking after my Mum who had Motor Neurone Disease. They were kind, caring, compassionate and had a wonderful sense of humour which I know Mum loved. The team went above and beyond to look after her, and even though Mum has since passed away, I know
that she spoke very highly of them all.
Thank you all for looking after Mum so well, and keeping my Dad sane too!
Reply from Erica Longyear, Managing Director at Oakhaven Care TottonGood Afternoon, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, it was our pleasure to be involved with your mum's care and we are so glad we were able to support your dad also. So fortunate to have had the services and support of Oakhaven care for the last 4 years. They made a real connection with the family, there to provide care for my dad but also so reassuring that they were looking out for my mum too, and would regularly feedback if they had any concerns. The team were
so caring and would help out with little odd jobs if they had the time, always bright and cheery and having a laugh with mum and dad...and the dog. They were a huge support helping to deal with social services when extra support was needed, we couldn't have asked for anymore.
Reply from Erica Longyear, Managing Director at Oakhaven Care TottonIt was the teams pleasure to look after your Dad and support your mum over the years. Thank you for the wonderful feedback and allowing us to be part of their care team.

Overall the standard of care given to my wife was excellent. Although over 20 carers visited our home there was a high degree of consistency in their approach. The carers were kind, diligent and thorough. When necessary they would advise me to contact other relevant medical professionals.

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Oakhaven Care Totton is based on 13 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4.825
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
