Right at Home Petersfield

Having the carers from Right at Home has made a big difference to the quality of life for myself as carer and my husband. They are lovely, friendly people and are dedicated to looking after their clients in the best way possible. I'm sure it helps my husband as having different conversations helps to stimulate him, and breaks the usual routine of the day. It's reassuring to know that I can leave the house knowing he will be looked after and they always keep me updated on him.

We have had one person living in full time but also night carers. They have all been so kind to all of us especially our mother who had to get used to having people in her house 24/7. The staff in the office were efficient and friendly and they certainly take great care to make sure that every placement goes smoothly. We were particularly impressed by the way they took the trouble to visit us at home, and also Dad in hospital, before any arrangements were put in place.

I would not hesitate to recommend Right at Home and at a very difficult and emotional time for us they provided all the support we needed. Their service exceeded all our expectations and we feel that their carers have become friends in the short time we have known them.

We are so grateful to Right at Home for the excellent live-in care they gave our parents. Without them, dad would not have been able to come home from hospital. The carers were highly skilled, kind and thoughtful. They worked with us as a family and treated my parents with dignity and respect. In so many ways they went beyond what we could have hoped for.

The carers are very good at diverting her attention and talking about things that can "bring her out of herself" which means I don't have to worry about her while I am away for the short breaks I take away from our home. I can't recommend anyone any higher than Right at Home Petersfield who are sympathetic caring people.

All in all the care Right At Home provides has transformed my uncle's life.

From the beginning, any concerns which arose, were quickly dealt with and resolved. The rota established a more familiar pattern and enormous efforts were made to communicate with dad, because of his total deafness. The team used notebooks and whiteboards and wrote such cheerful online reports for my sister and me, which reassured us of dad's well being, or advised us when there were concerns, as dad could not use the phone and never wanted to "bother" anyone. My dad is a lovely gentleman and several of the team forged truly wonderful relationships with him. Their detailed reports were helpful but also full of shared laughter and joy. My mother has Parkinson's and is elderly and struggling, and her partner is elderly too. Although they resisted having live in care, five weeks in and they could not be happier. We have had such amazing support from Right at Home that it has - quite literally - changed our lives. The company is communicative and great to deal with - always checking in and ensuring everything is ok.

Our carer is just wonderful. Kind and caring, and also super organised, managing everything from social to medical appointments, dealing with falls and emergencies, and communicating brilliantly with the wider family. She is so capable to deal with my mother - who is developing dementia - and takes everything in her stride.

I can not recommend them highly enough.

My partner of 92 has mild dementia but has the added complication of a catheter, so must use the loo regularly and drink lots of fluids. So if left alone for too long forgets, so I need some help to have time to do my things and know he is safe. Right at Home has provided a carer who is a wonderful companion and treats him with great friendship and respect. I can leave him with no worries and feel so much better to cope. The staff in the office as well have been friendly and so helpful. We love Right at Home.

Since I have had to get care for my father, I have had nothing but amazing service from Right at Home. They came out immediately and care was arranged within the week and I have not been let down once, they go above and beyond and I have nothing but praise for all the staff both in the office and actual care givers too. A huge thank you to everyone.

We could not have had a more helpful and caring service from Right at Home Petersfield. We look forward to a continued relationship with them.

I first contacted Right at Home in April of this year. I required some help in looking after my wife, who is disabled and also to take over some of the household chores. Their staff were always very helpful and cheerfully tackled any job I asked them to do very efficiently. I had visits twice a week and was always informed in advance who was coming and at what time. If there was a problem, like broken down car or illness, a substitute was always found. Because of altered circumstances I am not requiring their services for the immediate future, but if these change I will not hesitate to employ them again. I would thoroughly recommend Right at Home to anyone requiring help with caring for a loved one or with household chores.

The Right at Home team in the Petersfield office are all superstars as far as my whole family feels. They have made a very challenging and distressing time for my elderly Father, who time has caught up with, far less stressful to deal with. They did this through their total flexibility, support, and empathy. As often is the case with these situations, the need for care crept up on us and then became urgent and they were so supportive and went the extra mile to assist us at short notice. Nothing was too much trouble. All the people we have dealt with were superb. We are very grateful - thank you all!

I cannot recommend Right at Home Petersfield enough. They were an incredible support to my Mum and our family when she was dying of terminal cancer. Mum's wish was to be able to die at home and Right at Home couldn't have been more supportive or compassionate with helping us enable Mum's wishes. Mum also had a beloved elderly black lab who also had terminal cancer, and it was her wish that he received the same quality of care, again the team at Right at Home Petersfield couldn't have been more brilliant with him well which gave Mum so much peace. The carers and team were knowledgeable, supportive, and brilliant.

I have nothing but praise for the ladies who looked after me while my daughter was away. They all made me feel very comfortable and at ease with them. They were all very thorough. We will certainly have them again when my daughter is away.

Right at Home Petersfield has been providing care for my elderly father since his mobility had reduced and he'd had a couple of falls at home. My brother and I were concerned as he lives alone and neither of us lives locally so we now feel more reassured to know that carers are visiting him for a couple of hours in the morning 3 times a week (on the days when he is without any other visitors). Dad looks forward to seeing a friendly face and having a chat and a cup of tea and the carers also assist him with showering/preparing meals and any other odd jobs. The deputy care manager and the team have always communicated any concerns promptly and we are very impressed with their caring and professional attitude. We would therefore have no hesitation in recommending them.

My wife has Parkinson's and Right at Home has been providing care in the mornings and evenings. In the morning, this entails help to get up, shower and dress, whilst in the evening she receives help to prepare for and get into bed. This has been very successful and she has enjoyed the companionship provided and feels confident with all the people who attend. I have also found the staff extremely pleasant and it is reassuring for me to know that she is being well looked after. The visit schedule has been matched to our requirements and timekeeping has been excellent with immediate notification should any problem arise. We have also been impressed by the regular contact from the management to ensure that we do not have any problems. From our experience to date, we do not hesitate to recommend this home care agency.
