Individuals sent to provide personal care were woefully ill prepared and had zero idea of how to do the job. Basic hygiene protocol non-existent, to the point they were putting themselves and the patient at risk by poor practices. Continually left gloves on until leaving the house, despite being asked to take off gloves after care delivered. Arrived to house wearing aprons. Didn't seem interested in washing hands. Rough edged jewellery which could catch patient's skin on wrists and not covered by gloves. Patient communication almost zero. No concept of how to handle, move patient - they failed to protect themselves from injury and also the patient, not in any way safe. Could not leave the room while they were in attendance. Very very clearly not trained and very doubtful whether they had ever provided the sort of personal care they had been sent to deliver. One of the most stressful experiences of my life. They were pleasant ladies - just did not have a clue how to do the job.
