I'm appalled by the service received by a certain carer and a certain manager in Meritum!
The carer was rude, argumentative and disrespecting! They didn't change their gloves after a bowl movement and I mentioned this several times to them.

been "good morning how are you" every call was rushed, one Saturday evening when my uncle was being put to bed it took 7 minutes but they logged 20 minutes, but my cctv proved it was 7 minutes, another time my uncle was just finishing his dinner, as he took his last bite the carer said "you done" when they should of said "have you finished "
When I brought everything to the attention of the manageress in an email they arranged to come round to discuss about it, as soon as she stepped into my property I asked if she could take her shoes off, she refused, I said the carers do, she said they shouldn't and continued with giving us 10 days notice, everything was my fault and not the carer! Shameful

The ladies are always very kind and helpful, they always make sure we don't need anything else. We request they phone before arriving to give me time to get my husband into bed, which they always do. My only complaint would be that the timings are so random one evening call could be at 5pm, the next
night it could be 8:30pm. However whenever I have needed their help quickly, they have always been able to help within the hour.

We have been having carers from Meritum care now for a few months, all the carers and office staff have all been very kind and caring to myself and my partner, who is now having palliative care now. I really don't know how we would manage without their care and support. Thank you to all the Management

All of the carers we have had come to mum have been very good. There have been a couple that have stood out and have definately gone above and beyond and have been exceptionally amazing. One carer in particular literally saved my mums life and performed CPR. After a stay in hospital we now have mum
back home with us thanks to the quick thinking and training from her carer. She is an absolute gem and uses gentleness in getting her washed and dressed. As a family we cannot thank her enough. After coming home mums care needed to be increased and thanks to the whole team this was arranged effortlessly and was in place immediately. Thank you Meritum.

I am very happy with my carers and the support they give me. They really help me get organised and make sure I stick to a regular routine. This will include different jobs like making the bed, cleaning the bathroom, cleaning up the kitchen, hoovering and ironing.They are also really helpful with my
weekly food shopping making sure I spend money wisely, and stick to the budget. I have two different carers with different styles, both of whom are helpful and always check my wellbeing and how I feel in myself.

My wife, who was in the last stage of Parkinson's disease, was cared for from January 2025 to August 2025. She had 2 carers 3 times a day. She was cared for with empathy and dignity, and that was when her condition deteriorated.

All the care team are very compassionate and have patience when supporting my father. They communicate well and always ask for consent. They maintain dignity and are very reliable which as a family we always look forward to receiving care from Meritum for our father.

We had never used carers before so when I called through and spoke to the office about my dad's requirements, I honestly felt so reassured. They listened and understood exactly what our needs were. The carers visit my dad every day and we do not have a bad word to say about any of them.

Its comforting too know that my dads visit from one of the carers every morning helps him get up and start the day.
It also gives him peace of mind that someone is on hand when having a shower if he runs into difficulty.

We have been so very pleased with this care company they always respond so quickly & efficiently to our requests. The Carers are just amazing it is so lovely to hear my mum (who has Alzheimer's) laughing away with her regular Carer. I feel so assured my mum is really getting the best care. Wouldn't

Have been having cleaning done my Meritum for a few years. Very friendly, caring company. Office staff also knew who I was when I phoned and the lovely staff member, who came twice a week, did a thorough job and always had a smile on her face.

The carers have been very supportive of my dad, always being kind and considerate. The team have been amazing and a great source to help with general queries and guidance. I cannot thank them enough and glad we have such a great team helping us to support Dad with his independent living.
