We recognise that the reviewer holds a different view of events and believed that the carer was asleep during a mid-afternoon shift, although there was no evidence to support this allegation. We do acknowledge that the key safe procedure was not fully followed on this occasion, which understandably caused concern at the time and was addressed immediately. Subsequent communications became challenging and raised concerns regarding staff welfare. These concerns were managed through the appropriate channels. Our staff come to work to provide professional care and support and should be able to do so without being subjected to abusive or threatening behaviour. Read less

We are happy to arrange for a weekly rota to be sent to your email so you can plan ahead more easily.

All of our staff receive training to support individuals with mental health needs, and this is refreshed regularly. That said, we do take your comments seriously and will continue to review how we can further strengthen training and support where needed.

We are sorry to hear your concerns regarding interaction. We do expect carers to engage positively, encourage activities, and spend quality time with the people they support. Mobile phone use should only be for work-related purposes, and we will raise this with the team and carry out further checks to ensure standards remain high.
