Extremely Poor Care Standards, Negligence, and Unacceptable Management Attitude I am writing this review as a close family member of a vulnerable adult receiving care from Holywell Care. On 10th May we visited at the person's own request and discovered a deeply alarming situation that raises serious questions about safety, professionalism, and basic duty of care.
We arrived in the mid-afternoon and knocked loudly for over five minutes with no response. The key safe was found unlocked with the code left visible and no key inside. The back door was also left unsecured. Upon entering the property, we found both the person we support and the staff member on duty fast asleep - the carer in the back room. The staff member was visibly disoriented with clear marks on his face from sleeping. When challenged, he admitted he had been asleep on duty, struggled to communicate coherently, and then simply returned to the room and closed the door.

We recognise that the reviewer holds a different view of events and believed that the carer was asleep during a mid-afternoon shift, although there was no evidence to support this allegation. We do acknowledge that the key safe procedure was not fully followed on this occasion, which understandably caused concern at the time and was addressed immediately. Subsequent communications became challenging and raised concerns regarding staff welfare. These concerns were managed through the appropriate channels. Our staff come to work to provide professional care and support and should be able to do so without being subjected to abusive or threatening behaviour.

As timing not mentioned I've returned to main content. The time has changed somehow without my agreement. began at 10am and after about 3mths went to 10.30am. From there it over to 11am and now we see to be at 11.15am I would still like 10am. The day for me is very short using this time. Please try and put me back to 10am
