One carer told us she had 27 clients to visit that day - an insane number for any individual to undertake and ensuring each visit would be necessarily shorter than required. Most worryingly, one told us they had been specifically told not to tell clients about being booked to be in more than one place at one time, so, in essence, to lie. These issues of scheduling were articulated by more than one carer, so it was not one person with an axe to grind against their employer. As said, individual carers were often great, but hard-pressed to do their jobs given the way they were poorly managed.
