Unique have brought peace of mind with their professional and very caring service. From the first phone call, and then every subsequent staff member I met, gave me a feeling of confidence. It's a daunting prospect when you feel the time has come to seek help. My 96 year old father was very anxious at
the thought of carers entering the home when he was alone to help with his morning routine. Hannah put my father at ease with her initial visit to meet us when she so patiently talked everything through with him. We feel lucky in having a small number of carers so my father knows them all and has consistency. We have a rota for the month so know which carer is coming each day and time of arrival. I have the utmost faith in all the carers as they are all so kind and caring, often going above and beyond, and my father looks forward to their arrival each morning. I now personally understand why Unique comes highly recommended as I too have nothing but praise for the service offered by Unique.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | Coventry & KenilworthThank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We know how much thought goes into that first step, especially when it's something your Father was unsure about. It's good to hear that, with the right approach and familiar faces, things have settled into a routine that works for him and feels more comfortable day to day. Hannah and the team will really appreciate your kind words. Taking the time to build trust and keep things consistent is something they place a big emphasis on, so it's reassuring to hear your experience.

Vic and I started to attend the Knowle + Dorridge memory cafe in the early days. We did not know what to expect and Vic was somewhat reluctant at the thought. From the very moment we walked through the door, we were made so welcome both by 'Unique' staff + the wonderful team of volunteers. The activities
are well planned + very enjoyable - assigned to stimulate the mind in various ways. The talks are invariably interesting, themed crafts enhance achievement feelings, therapy dog is very calming. Brilliant for carers.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care SolihullThank you for taking the time to share this feedback. It's good to hear that you both felt welcomed from the outset. Creating a space where people can settle in, feel at ease, and get something from the time spent there is really important. Your kind words will mean a lot to the team and volunteers involved.

Uniques senior home care did a great job of looking after Mum so I could have a short break.
We were introduced to the team and carers prior to the days we requested and were very friendly and made Mum feel comfortable.
The whole process went very smoothly and we will be getting in touch again for
the next break.

I receive great care from my Carer. I have been with Unique over 10 years now and all my Carers have been good but my present Carer is nothing short of excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for her. She helps me organise my life. She makes suggestions to make my life better. I look forward to her
calls.
The only thing is Unique are rather expensive and the services you give are limited to home Care. The only other thing is you have taken me to hospital appointments.
I would like Unique to reduce their charges and expand their range of services. All without negative impacting on what you pay your Carers. I know it can be done as I have found another Company that has achieved this.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | WarwickshireThank you for taking the time to leave such an honest and thoughtful review. Being with us for over ten years is not something we take lightly, and your kind words about your current Caregiver will be very much appreciated. That consistency and day-to-day support is rally important.
We also appreciate you sharing your thoughts around costs and the range of services. It's helpful for us to hear this kind of feedback, and it's something we do keep under review.

The carers who attend to my needs are always friendly and understanding. They deal with all my personal care and meal requirements.
I always try to be as pleasant as possible and listen to what they tell me about what is happening in their own lives. As an elderly lady and with much life experience
i sometimes offer advice. Luckily, I have not got dementia so fully understand what they are telling me.
Basically, I regard the carers as friends who come and help me.
I commenced using Unique in 2023 but after a couple of years changed to another Agency who offered a cheaper service. However, I quickly came to the conclusion that you get what you pay for and after 6 months I asked Unique to take me back, They happily agreed and I have been with them ever since.

After doing lots of research for a suitable care agency for my mum who has dementia, I have been so impressed with Unique Senior Care. They are quick to respond to queries and have ensured that Mum had the best possible match with a carer who would get on well with her.
Mum's care started today, and
I was thrilled to meet her carer when I visited. She and Mum have really hit it off which is a huge reassurance for us as a family.
Two weeks ago, Mum was completely against having any help at home; but today she was so grateful to have assistance in getting ready to go out to her day centre -and so was I!
Knowing that there is a kind, supportive carer helping Mum is an absolute God send, and I can't thank Unique enough.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | Coventry & KenilworthStarting care can feel like a big step, especially when a loved one is hesitant at first, so thank you for trusting us to support your Mum. I was a service user and experienced serious concerns around boundaries, finances, hygiene, and safeguarding. Personal belongings and deliveries were handled and opened without consent, instructions about private areas were ignored, and items of personal significance were damaged.
Hygiene practices
were inconsistent and raised health concerns. The impact on my wellbeing was significant. When these issues were raised, the provider terminated the service at short notice rather than addressing the risks. This experience left me feeling unsafe and unsupported.
One member of staff always went above and beyond and I am grateful to her.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | WarwickshireThank you for your feedback. I'm very sorry to hear how this experience impacted your wellbeing.

Please be assured your concerns were taken seriously and carefully considered via formal internal review, in line with our policies. During the process, we aimed to communicate clearly and worked alongside external safeguarding partners.

Within our regulated care service, if it becomes clear that support is no longer appropriate, this is discussed openly and next steps are explored, including signposting to other providers so no one is left without suitable support. As this was a domestic cleaning service rather than personal care, alternative care arrangements were not necessary in this instance.

If concerns continue and support is no longer aligned with expectations, the service may be brought to an end with reasonable notice, in line with our policy. This is never taken lightly, and only ever done to prevent further unease.

Thank you for acknowledging the Caregiver's positive support - we'll be sure to share this.

Unique Senior Care are a fantastic care agency. The carers are all lovely, warm people who really do care. They give mum time to talk about how her day is going and they try to help when she is not feeling her best. Mum has complex needs and is very particular about how things are done but Unique carers
do their best to make mum feel supported and comfortable.

My mum is 91, frail yet independent and started to experience memory behaviours in Sept 2025 that caused me concern. I live 80 miles away and manage a serious unpredictable disease myself.
It became apparent mum needed care input and she expressed strongly she wanted to stay at home. I read the report
for Unique Care from the cqc and it matched my ethos for my mum which was to keep her independent and free thinking whilst taking care of her basic needs, preparing food, eating and drinking, companionship and safety.
Hannah undertook a thorough holistic assessment of my mum in such a way that mum felt calm and was given time to ask questions because of Hannah's approach. Hannah has remained a consistent, compassionate, knowledgable team leader throughout. I trust her implicitly. The carer rota provides v high levels of continuity and mum loves her carers who promote her independence, are so professional and are experts in caring for the older frail person without judgement.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | Coventry & KenilworthThank you for taking the time to share your experience. Hannah and the Caregivers involved will really value your kind words. Providing calm, consistent support and maintaining independence at home are things we work hard to get right, so it is reassuring to hear that this has been reflected in the care provided.
Hourly care can be especially important when families are supporting from a distance, and we're pleased it has helped your Mother remain at home in a way that feels right for her. Thank you for placing your trust in us.

Unique Care have been so helpful for my mother. My father was admitted to hospital just before Christmas after a fall and my mother was unable to cope alone.
Unique Care have been fantastic all round, starting with us quickly over the Christmas holiday and have always gone above and beyond to ensure
my mother has had the care and support she needed over this difficult time - companionship, assist and support, whatever she needed to her help and to help her be with my dad over these difficult few weeks.

We were recommended to Unique in July 2025 when my Mother (Dementia) came to live with us following the passing of my Father. From the outset Chanelle, who is the Care Supervisor based in Warwickshire was helpful and was able to offer great advice regarding the care on offer with Unique Senior Care.
In
the past 6 months we have had 2 great ladies who have assisted with my Mother's personal care in addition to taking my Mother out on short trips for coffee and lunch. Our local National Trust properties have also been a welcome diversion for afternoon excursions when the weather allowed.
Unique Senior Care have also been brilliant stepping up to provide additional care when my Mother was waiting for and on return from a hip replacement in the latter pack of 2025.
Chanelle and her great Team of ladies have been so kind and just lovely to have around in our home.

After a series of falls I was finding it difficult to balance, so it was agreed that I should have support from Unique for an hour a week simply for walking.
I have come to know two carers in particular - Nannw and Chanelle - spending most of the time with Nannw.
They have both been very supportive
when my balance has been unsure, and both have been extremely good company.
I could not have hoped for better or more amiable support.

I took the decision to look for Live in care for my adult son, who is living with down syndrome, when visits during the day no longer met his needs. I am an elderly parent and needed help to support my son. I knew that finding the right people would be key. Finding the first Caregiver with Unique Senior
Care was quick. I met with the assessor who visited me and my son to assess all my sons needs. Finding a caregiver to work opposite the caregiver already in place took some time due to finding the right person for my son. I had doubts at times that I was doing the right thing for my son. Then I met Sophie the Head of Live in who came to my home. Sophie put a plan in place with my full involvement and supported me to find that right caregiver for my son. Today we now have 2 regular Caregivers that feel like family. I no longer have to worry, I know I have done the right thing for my son. My son is happy and I can see he is happy. It works for us and they are helpful to me too ..
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care SolihullThank you for sharing such a thoughtful and heartfelt review.
