I was a service user and experienced serious concerns around boundaries, finances, hygiene, and safeguarding. Personal belongings and deliveries were handled and opened without consent, instructions about private areas were ignored, and items of personal significance were damaged.
Hygiene practices
were inconsistent and raised health concerns. The impact on my wellbeing was significant. When these issues were raised, the provider terminated the service at short notice rather than addressing the risks. This experience left me feeling unsafe and unsupported.
One member of staff always went above and beyond and I am grateful to her.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | WarwickshireThank you for your feedback. I'm very sorry to hear how this experience impacted your wellbeing.

Please be assured your concerns were taken seriously and carefully considered via formal internal review, in line with our policies. During the process, we aimed to communicate clearly and worked alongside external safeguarding partners.

Within our regulated care service, if it becomes clear that support is no longer appropriate, this is discussed openly and next steps are explored, including signposting to other providers so no one is left without suitable support. As this was a domestic cleaning service rather than personal care, alternative care arrangements were not necessary in this instance.

If concerns continue and support is no longer aligned with expectations, the service may be brought to an end with reasonable notice, in line with our policy. This is never taken lightly, and only ever done to prevent further unease.

Thank you for acknowledging the Caregiver's positive support - we'll be sure to share this.

Unique Care have been so helpful for my mother. My father was admitted to hospital just before Christmas after a fall and my mother was unable to cope alone.
Unique Care have been fantastic all round, starting with us quickly over the Christmas holiday and have always gone above and beyond to ensure
my mother has had the care and support she needed over this difficult time - companionship, assist and support, whatever she needed to her help and to help her be with my dad over these difficult few weeks.

I've always found all the staff helpful and caring and they really have gone the extra mile for us.

Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | WarwickshireThank you for taking the time to share your experience.

Your comments will mean a lot to the Caregivers and wider team involved. Supporting families with practical, dependable care, especially when circumstances change, is a responsibility we take seriously, and it's good to know that this was reflected in the support provided.

Thank you for trusting us with your Mother's care.

We were recommended to Unique in July 2025 when my Mother (Dementia) came to live with us following the passing of my Father. From the outset Chanelle, who is the Care Supervisor based in Warwickshire was helpful and was able to offer great advice regarding the care on offer with Unique Senior Care.
In
the past 6 months we have had 2 great ladies who have assisted with my Mother's personal care in addition to taking my Mother out on short trips for coffee and lunch. Our local National Trust properties have also been a welcome diversion for afternoon excursions when the weather allowed.
Unique Senior Care have also been brilliant stepping up to provide additional care when my Mother was waiting for and on return from a hip replacement in the latter pack of 2025.
Chanelle and her great Team of ladies have been so kind and just lovely to have around in our home.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | WarwickshireThank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We can understand how difficult this period has been for your family, and it means a great deal to hear that you have felt supported along the way.
Chanelle and the Caregivers involved will really appreciate your kind words. Supporting families through changing needs is a big part of what we do, and it's reassuring to know that the care and flexibility provided made a difference.
Thank you again for placing your trust in us. It has been a privilege to support your Mother.

After a series of falls I was finding it difficult to balance, so it was agreed that I should have support from Unique for an hour a week simply for walking.
I have come to know two carers in particular - Nannw and Chanelle - spending most of the time with Nannw.
They have both been very supportive
when my balance has been unsure, and both have been extremely good company.
I could not have hoped for better or more amiable support.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | WarwickshireThank you for taking the time to share your experience. Recovering confidence after a series of falls can be hard, but it's great to hear how much that regular walking support has helped.

Nannw and Chanelle will be really pleased to read your kind words. Feeling supported and safe, as well as having good company, makes such a big difference, and it's reassuring to hear how positive this support has been for you. I'll be sure to pass on your kind words!

Chose Unique based on thorough comparison with other care service providers and right from initial contact I knew I had made the right decision.
For me their responsiveness and engagement are excellent, providing that level of confidence that personal service really matters.
Still early days but already
there is that reassurance that I've got a really good team of professionals who are there to support both parents and myself.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | WarwickshireThank you for taking the time to share this. I'm very pleased to hear how positive these early days have felt for you and your parents.
It means a great deal to know that the team's responsiveness and their approach from the outset have given you confidence. Hearing that you already feel supported by the professionals involved in your parents' hourly care is exactly what we hope for at this stage. I'll make sure your feedback is passed on to everyone involved.

Communication with administrative staff is very good. Easy contact and good response.
Most carers are willing, very punctual and have adapted to changes in care as required, and are very helpful. They have built up a good relationship with our Mother and she is happy for them to help with all jobs.
As we need two carers at present, it is proving expensive, and a half hour option would definitely be favourable to us.
Generally we are happy with the service the carers provide, some require more direction than others, but most provide excellent support.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | WarwickshireThank you for your kind feedback. We're so pleased your Mother feels comfortable with her Caregivers and that communication has been going well. We do understand the concern around cost. While we don't offer half-hour visits, this is because we believe good care takes time - not just to complete tasks, but to offer reassurance, conversation, and build real trust.

Our family has received wonderful care over the last 8 months. Our main carer goes above and beyond, keeping the family up to date on a daily basis.
She has built up trust with my mother-in-law and goes above and beyond attending to her personal care even cutting her hair and nails. She supports
the family by picking up shopping as the family lives too far away.
The carer goes above and beyond. We would be lost without her and would recommend her to other clients.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | WarwickshireThank you for such a thoughtful review. It's lovely to hear how well your Caregiver has settled in and the difference she's making - not just for your mother-in-law, but for your whole family. We know how much the little things matter, especially when family live far away. Your kind words will mean a lot to her and the team.

The carers are superb and couldn't be improved upon. The coordinator is excellent and support from the office has clearly improved - we get far less 'last minute dot com' and this is important for my daughter. The care transforms my daughter's life.

Carers were excellent; kind and professional - my father was always happy to see them. We started off with a couple of hours a week and expanded the number of hours as we needed them. Even when a carer was unable to attend, a replacement carer was found and fitted in within the same time frame. Really,
no complaints.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | WarwickshireThank you for your kind words. It's lovely to hear that your father enjoyed seeing his Caregivers and that the support could adapt as needed. I highly recommend Unique Senior Care as a professional, genuinely caring, care provider company in Warwickshire. The carers they arranged at short notice for my dad to come in for an hour a day for several weeks following an operation were all lovely, compassionate, caring, very helpful and friendly
company too. Their service hugely helped my d1ad get back on his feet again in his 90s - would definitely recommend this type of service and option for anyone needing a bit more support and assistance at home, either temporarily or permanently. They came as a great personal recommendation and it was an enormous relief to find out about them and meet them.

Unique Senior Care are such a wonderful, well-organised and caring organisation. From our very first meeting with one of the staff members we felt we were in good hands and that my husband's parents would benefit from their care. The carer Unique Care selected was a real hit with both of them, and like
most elderly people they had initially resisted the idea that they needed help. They both looked forward to the carer's visits, and we felt she got a good balance of supporting their emotional needs (chat and a cuppa!) with chores that needed doing, e.g. cleaning and helping with shopping. When we had to change timings and frequency of the carer's visits due to my father-in-law going into hospital Unique Care bent over backwards to accommodate that, and we felt they genuinely cared about Mum and Dad. I would highly recommend Unique Care to anyone looking for a carer.
Reply from Philip Maundrill, Director at Unique Senior Care | WarwickshireThank you so much for your thoughtful review. It's wonderful to hear that you felt supported from the very beginning and that the Caregiver was such a great match for your husband's parents. My mother's care has been very supportive through once-weekly home visits which include a fortnightly visit to the Dementia Cafe club in a particular care home.

My husband has three different carers during a week and they are all consistently cheerful and supportive of him. They come to provide personal care but they do so much more, particularly providing a social interaction which makes a huge difference to brightening up the day for both my husband and myself.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.646 for Unique Senior Care | Warwickshire is calculated as follows: ( (112 Excellents x 5) + (24 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (5 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 144 Ratings = 4.646

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Unique Senior Care | Warwickshire is based on 23 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
