Unique Senior Care’s Warwickshire head office provides outstanding home care and live-in care services to support older people who would like to continue to live in the comfort of their own homes, for as long as possible.

From July until November, I needed first of all daily help and as I improved, help was needed less. Everything has been done to the highest standard and all carers are kind and supportive. Receiving a monthly timetable was useful and punctuality good. There is little more that I can say other than

We have used Unique care firstly before my father passed away to support my mother with his care, and now sadly also with my mother who has Alzheimer's'. The two main carers are wonderful. One looked after my dad and is now looking after my mum, and is a great friend to my mum and goes over and above.
The second, who is newer, has been brilliant at supporting Mum in her diet and so many other things. I don't know the others so well, but have no complaints. The office has been great at managing the various medical appointments. I would definitely recommend them.

Good care. Attention to detail depends on which carer attends. Personal care is very good. The carers are always chatty and friendly and engage well. Meals are reheated and sometimes overheated, but good, on the whole. Some carers miss early signs of infections - this has been raised with them. The
care, on the whole, is very good. Interception for skin issues/sores is generally good. Liaise with incontinence team - very good. Keeping next of kin informed is improving.

Very impressed with the quality of care and friendly staff. My mum's carer quickly established a strong rapport, was always ready to go the extra mile - eg, brought her own soup maker. Also, she scoured the house to find extra things to do without being asked, such as wiping doorknobs.

Generally, we have nothing to complain about and are very happy with the organisation and particularly the carers who are very competent and friendly. I would certainly recommend them. I find it difficult when we have changes in staff, however, our needs have changed over time and we have now settled
down. I hope in our requirements and theirs.
We do find them expensive and occasionally the timing can be awkward especially if they turn up earlier than expected. This can be intrusive if we are watching a particularly interesting programme on television.

Nikki

Job Title: Registered Care Manager

We are delighted that Nikki is the Registered Manager for our service in Stratford on Avon.


With over 20 years of care experience, she started her career in care at the age of 16, working in a care home looking after the elderly, whilst also studying at college to gain her Health and Social Care qualifications


Nikki is now a very experienced Care Manager, having worked in a range of different care settings from private and public hospitals, care homes, home care and including 18 years working with Mencap supporting people with Learning Disabilities.


A huge advocate of elderly care at home, Nikki fully understands the benefits of physical and mental wellbeing of both her clients and her support team and she truly believes in the right for everyone to be able to live safely, with respect and dignity in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by the things they know and love.


Nikki loves getting to know our customers and their families, as they are all unique. She also understands the benefits of listening to their life stories, and hearing about their interests and wider families; as this enables her team to really know the people they are caring for and make each visit count and make them happy.


Outside of work, Niki has two children, two dogs – one of which weighs more than her two children and enjoys getting out in the countryside for a family walk.
