Unique Senior Care are such a wonderful, well-organised and caring organisation. From our very first meeting with one of the staff members we felt we were in good hands and that my husband's parents would benefit from their care. The carer Unique Care selected was a real hit with both of them, and like most elderly people they had initially resisted the idea that they needed help. They both looked forward to the carer's visits, and we felt she got a good balance of supporting their emotional needs (chat and a cuppa!) with chores that needed doing, e.g. cleaning and helping with shopping. When we had to change timings and frequency of the carer's visits due to my father-in-law going into hospital Unique Care bent over backwards to accommodate that, and we felt they genuinely cared about Mum and Dad. I would highly recommend Unique Care to anyone looking for a carer.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. It's wonderful to hear that you felt supported from the very beginning and that the Caregiver was such a great match for your husband's parents. We're really glad we could make the process easier for you all, especially during the more challenging times. I'll certainly pass on your kind words to the team.
I have found Unique to be actively engaged in my Dad's care. There is advice and follow up available, as well as the fundamentals being right, such as consistency in the actual visits. I feel confident that whenever I change plans they will be able to respond, and they are open to feedback and fielding questions.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're really pleased to hear that you feel confident in the care our team is providing for your Dad. Consistency and responsiveness are very important to us, so it's great to know that you're experiencing this. Thanks again for sharing your experience.
This has provided my mother with an opportunity to meet new people and engage in conversation and activities.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences. I'm thrilled to hear how this weekly companionship has benefitted your mother and that she has been able to make new friends at the Dementia Cafe. This kind of social interaction makes all the difference. I'll be sure to pass on your words to the team.
They are always willing to do household chores and help in any way they can.
We would not hesitate to recommend Unique care.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share these kind words. It's fantastic to hear what a positive impact this support has had for you both, in terms of practical assistance and companionship. I will share your thoughts with the team, who I know will really appreciate such glowing feedback.
Carers arrive on time. Willing to undertake any task. Have a caring and sympathetic manner. Provide support with household duties.
Having a carer has greatly improved his life. His flat is now clean and organised. His personal care has been well organised, with the necessary appointments made and coordinated. He gets on with his carer, who understands his needs and copes well.
I would like to highly recommend Unique Senior Care. My parents live quite a distance from myself, it is lovely to know they have a professional, dedicated and caring team looking after their daily needs. As their health has deteriorated over time, it is reassuring that their care package has altered and tailored for their needs. It is reassuring and takes the stress away that their care is always a high priority to Unique Senior Care.
Unique has been wonderful in their care. Their carers are so kind and go above and beyond and I know I can always rely on them to be on time and do whatever I ask them to do. They have helped me regain my confidence and independence.
The post-operative care was just as needed for help with making bed/dressing/laundry and hair washing in the 5 days after discharge from a total hip replacement and an inpatient stay of 32 hours.
The carers are hardworking and willing to do housework during the visit, which was an enormous help to us.
We used Unique Senior Care on a short-term contract, whilst I recovered from a major operation (as, I am Mum's full-time carer normally).
I would definitely use them again and thank you.
My experience with Unique Home Care is very satisfactory. Carers are good timekeepers and friendly. It takes half an hour to help me shower, treat my legs and get dressed, and considering they only have an hour. My choice, one hour, twice a week. I find the more mature carers the best, if I am not too well, feeling low or a bit depressed, they pick up on it and will do other small jobs for me. If there is time, they make coffee, which we have together. It is nice when someone makes me a drink, then we chat about their family and I chat about my three great-grandchildren and between us we try to put the world right. Not bad all in one hour!
I have used Unique Senior Care for a number of years (my mother has advanced dementia). They provide excellent care and I would highly recommend them. The carers are professional and caring and a pleasure to be around.

My first experience of Unique was for my husband who had dementia. The carers were excellent helping him to shower and shave when he wouldn't let me help him. When I needed care myself, Unique was the obvious choice for me. I have been very happy and satisfied with the service I have received and would have no hesitation in recommending them.
Thank you for taking the time to write in with your positive review. We are delighted that we were able to support your husband during a time of need, and now to think that you have returned to us for your own support is a true reflection of satisfaction. We know that the team really enjoy their...
Unique Senior Care has been providing my aunt with daily care for the last 2 years. In that time I have got to know the individual carers that go in daily and help my aunt with food, medicine and general wellbeing. They are always punctual, caring, and a pleasure to be around. Unique have always been on hand to support, talk through anything in a crisis and generally be part of the family. Thank you all so much! We couldn't support my aunt without you.
Thank you for taking the time to write in with your glowing review of our service. It is always a pleasure for us to hear about the difference we are able to make not only to our clients, but also their wider family. The consistency, punctuality and caring characters we employ really reflect our...
I am very happy with the service Unique Senior Care offers. My mum has carers come in three times a week for an hour to check on my mum, who has Alzheimer’s. We started these visits so Mum would be having mental stimulation talking to people as she was experiencing sundowning moments in an afternoon. It certainly helped her. I would recommend Unique Senior Care to others.
All the staff are so helpful and understanding. My parents both suffer from vascular dementia and as a main carer, I find some days very difficult. All I have to do is pick up the phone and they can normally fulfil any wishes I have. The carers show loads of patience and compassion towards my parents, always giving them time to fulfil tasks. I literally sit back and let them do their job. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
I have a complex condition which requires double-up care for moving and handling and so much more. I have a regular team of Unique carers who are so lovely and so skilled that they work seamlessly with my PAs from a separate company. This has significantly improved the quality and continuity of my care to enable me to live my best life.
My dog also absolutely adores my Unique team and waits with excited anticipation for their every visit!
All the staff I have been in contact with have been pleasant, friendly and helpful. I just wish you could give me help on Saturday mornings.
Thank you for writing in with your positive review of our service. It is really pleasing to read that we have been able to provide a pleasant and helpful service that is meeting your needs. We always aim to do our very best and treat our clients as if they are our own family members. Your question...
My father has a variety of needs, centered on support and companionship. Although his needs and hopes vary, partially due to confusion at the age of eighty-eight, Unique Care respond swiftly and with huge levels of support. Knowing they are always there, provides security and comfort to my father but also to his family and friends knowing they assist proactively and reactively as needs require.
Thanks you for writing to homecare.co.uk with your really positive review. We are thrilled to hear that the team have been able to adjust to reflect his daily needs. We are always keen to ensure that we provide a service which not only meets his expectations, but also reduces the anxieties for...
My mum was very resistant to putting any kind of care in place, but Unique Care have provided friendly, reliable people. My mum has a regular carer and backup carer, whom she has come to know and now relies on this service weekly and looks forward to the shopping trips and the company. The team answer phone calls quickly and are great at giving advice. They are experienced and understanding about entering someone's home, especially someone who is not keen on the idea at first. We absolutely recommend them.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a positive review, which is really appreciated. It is heartening for us to hear that we have addressed your Mum's resistance to care and that things are meeting her (and your) expectations. Our focus is always on doing the best for our clients, by...

Meet the Team (2)
We are delighted that Nikki is the Registered Manager for our service in Stratford on Avon.
With over 20 years of care experience, she started her career in care at the age of 16, working in a care home looking after the elderly, whilst also studying at college to gain her Health and Social Care qualifications
Nikki is now a very experienced Care Manager, having worked in a range of different care settings from private and public hospitals, care homes, home care and including 18 years working with Mencap supporting people with Learning Disabilities.
A huge advocate of elderly care at home, Nikki fully understands the benefits of physical and mental wellbeing of both her clients and her support team and she truly believes in the right for everyone to be able to live safely, with respect and dignity in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by the things they know and love.
Nikki loves getting to know our customers and their families, as they are all unique. She also understands the benefits of listening to their life stories, and hearing about their interests and wider families; as this enables her team to really know the people they are caring for and make each visit count and make them happy.
Outside of work, Niki has two children, two dogs – one of which weighs more than her two children and enjoys getting out in the countryside for a family walk.
Nyree is a Care Supervisor in our Warwickshire office and works alongside Nikki our Registered Manager.
