The Coventry & Kenilworth branch of Unique Senior Care has been rated Outstanding twice by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in October 2016 and October 2019. It is the only home care provider in Coventry and Warwickshire specialising in the elderly to be rated outstanding – CQC’s highest rating.

They provide outstanding home care and live-in care services to support people who would like to continue to live in the comfort of their own homes, for as long as possible.

They are a fully regulated service, with a team of friendly, professional and empathetic Caregivers, who are dedicated to providing outstanding care, from as little as one hour a week to 24 hours a day, seven days a week live-in care. They design personalised care plans to meet clients’ specific needs and wishes, for either short-term periods of respite, or longer-term, and offer support with personal care, mobility, medications, housekeeping, transportation, companionship and cooking.

As a family we have been happy with the service we have received. All the carers are caring and trustworthy and I have been comfortable with having them in our home. The only issue has been the timing of visits, in the evening especially, as my mum prefers a late call at 9pm. Problems with staff sickness
and rotas, I believe.

Unique Senior Care stepped in at very short notice to provide a care package so Mum could be discharged home from hospital after a stroke for which we were extremely grateful. The carers were all really kind and patient with Mum which helped her transition from hospital to home to go.as smoothly as
possible. All the staff have been brilliant and I would highly recommend the whole team. Thank you again for your amazing support as a difficult and stressful time.

I think the staff that I have met so far at Unique Senior Care are all lovely. I feel very comfortable being around them. The gentleman on the phone has a very reassuring voice and that's what you need to hear when you're unsure about care. The lady who did the consultation was very easy to chat with
and I felt comfortable around her and I knew she would do what she said she would.

As always a very good experience with Unique. What I have noticed recently is the support they give me as well as my mum. Thats always been there since mum started having her carers, Ive always been able to email and ask questions no matter how simple. I really like the way Unique is totally committed

Unique have brought peace of mind with their professional and very caring service. From the first phone call, and then every subsequent staff member I met, gave me a feeling of confidence. It's a daunting prospect when you feel the time has come to seek help. My 96 year old father was very anxious at
the thought of carers entering the home when he was alone to help with his morning routine. Hannah put my father at ease with her initial visit to meet us when she so patiently talked everything through with him. We feel lucky in having a small number of carers so my father knows them all and has consistency. We have a rota for the month so know which carer is coming each day and time of arrival. I have the utmost faith in all the carers as they are all so kind and caring, often going above and beyond, and my father looks forward to their arrival each morning. I now personally understand why Unique comes highly recommended as I too have nothing but praise for the service offered by Unique.

Uniques senior home care did a great job of looking after Mum so I could have a short break.
We were introduced to the team and carers prior to the days we requested and were very friendly and made Mum feel comfortable.
The whole process went very smoothly and we will be getting in touch again for
the next break.

After doing lots of research for a suitable care agency for my mum who has dementia, I have been so impressed with Unique Senior Care. They are quick to respond to queries and have ensured that Mum had the best possible match with a carer who would get on well with her.
Mum's care started today, and
I was thrilled to meet her carer when I visited. She and Mum have really hit it off which is a huge reassurance for us as a family.
Two weeks ago, Mum was completely against having any help at home; but today she was so grateful to have assistance in getting ready to go out to her day centre -and so was I!
Knowing that there is a kind, supportive carer helping Mum is an absolute God send, and I can't thank Unique enough.

I cannot fault this care company. The kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness shown during our time with them has been outstanding. We had previously used them for another family member but my parents have been supported up to the point my father has had to go in a care home. They supported my mother
at the same time despite the care being for dad. Unique can show the others a thing or two to be honest at how care should be done. If only everybody lived up to your standards.

Mum began to struggle with looking after herself at home so we engaged with Unique to supply carers for her. The quality of staff and the care they gave to Mum was fabulous. It meant Mum could send an extra 12 months in her own house prior to moving to a care home.

Unique provide an hour of care four days a week for my elderly mother. The carers provide practical support within the home and are willing to pop to the shops if needed. The carers are a breath of fresh air for my mother and brighten her day considerably! The staff in the Kenilworth office are friendly
and supportive and have been so willing to provide extra help and advice as my mother's needs have changed.

We started using Unique Senior Care in March 2023, initially to ease the burden on my 89 mother looking after her 94 year old husband at home in Kenilworth. We have gradually stepped up the care-visits as my father's health deteriorated, and were up to 4 hourly visits a day when he eventually passed
earlier this week.
I cannot thank Unique Senior Care enough for their service to us over the past 20 months. Without their help and support my parents would not have been able to continue living at home, with a remarkable quality of life for their age. We always found them flexible, responsive, reliable, compassionate and professional. They were always there to support us during the difficult times we faced. We found them to be huge support to us, and I can highly recommend them to anyone considering using their services.

The team at Unique Senior Care stepped in extremely quickly when it became apparent the free care for my father on discharge (following a stroke and 3+ months in hospital) was not suitable or sufficient for my parent's needs. The carers and supervisors have been excellent. In my dad's case he requires
liquid feed via a pump, and the team were quickly trained and conversant in this set-up, which was a huge relief and help for me, as I was the only family member who could use the equipment on his discharge.
They also help my mum with other chores around the house such as bed changing, which is incredibly helpful. They always show kindness and compassion to my parents.

Unique have been caring for Mum and Dad for about 6 months. They have been great providing regular visits and always with a smile. They ensure medication is taken, cook meals, help with personal care, clean and provide a chance to chat as well. When Dad was admitted to hospital and we made the decision
that it was time for Mum to move to a care home, Unique were brilliant giving us extra hours of cover to allow us time to visit care homes or just have a break for an hour or two. They are now supporting Dad at home since his discharge from hospital. The client diary they provide is a useful insight into how Mum and Dad are through a professional's eyes.

As soon as we needed extra hours for carers to come in, this was organised within a couple of days. Then when we needed the timing to change, this was arranged for the very next week. All the carers that go in to help are friendly and cheerful and willing to do any tasks that are asked of them. We can

Job Title: Registered Care Manager

We are delighted that Nikki is the Registered Manager for our service in Stratford on Avon.


With over 20 years of care experience, she started her career in care at the age of 16, working in a care home looking after the elderly, whilst also studying at college to gain her Health and Social Care qualifications


Nikki is now a very experienced Care Manager, having worked in a range of different care settings from private and public hospitals, care homes, home care and including 18 years working with Mencap supporting people with Learning Disabilities.


A huge advocate of elderly care at home, Nikki fully understands the benefits of physical and mental wellbeing of both her clients and her support team and she truly believes in the right for everyone to be able to live safely, with respect and dignity in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by the things they know and love.


Nikki loves getting to know our customers and their families, as they are all unique. She also understands the benefits of listening to their life stories, and hearing about their interests and wider families; as this enables her team to really know the people they are caring for and make each visit count and make them happy.


Outside of work, Niki has two children, two dogs – one of which weighs more than her two children and enjoys getting out in the countryside for a family walk.
