We have been using Consultus constantly for three years, from just out of hospital (two 24 hour carers) through to one (at present). The reason we chose Consultus was our second hand experience of the high quality of the care which we observed them providing to our next door neighbour. The carers have been excellently trained, kind, and mature. There is immediate access to their local manager, who deals rapidly with any request or difficulty, and regularly asks for feedback. We have had only one cause for complaint in three years, and it was dealt with within 24 hours. I have recommended Consultus without hesitation to anyone who asks or needs caring services, and those who took my advice have all been extremely satisfied..

Our carer got in touch directly before we went away and was so friendly that I was immediately reassured. And when she arrived she instinctively knew what to do. I had no qualms going away, and indeed I have used the company again and plan to do so in the autumn.

From the start the carers that Consultus provided were excellent providing good care for my mother as well as being good company. My brother and I would often worry that a new carer would not be as good as the last but we were always surprised by how things turned out. In my mother's final months it was so reassuring to know that my mum always had someone looking after her and someone who would always keep my brother and I informed.

We have been delighted with the live in home care provided by Consultus following my mother's stroke last October when she was discharged from hospital but wasn't well enough to be back home unsupported. Care was arranged really quickly. The carers have all been great as has their manager. The carers have helped my mother with her personal care, physio rehabilitation exercises and hospital appointments and have also supported my elderly father at no extra cost. They have given us all peace of mind whilst we plan my parents' future care needs.

The support team at the office were also very good if any minor problems arose and listened well to any concerns or queries. I am happy to recommend them.

We have used Consultus Care & Nursing for the last year to care for and support my mum, who has Parkinson's Disease. All the staff who have cared for her have been kind, warm and professional. It has been a very positive experience. The staff are well trained and really listen to the individual needs of their clients. I would highly recommend Consultus to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

The carers remain with my aunt until the end and undoubtedly allowed her to gracefully pass on to her next great adventure.

Consultus had been recommended to us and I can confirm they have lived up to all our expectations. For nearly 4 years we have had Consultus Carers assigned to assist Domicile Care. Each Carer has made our parents feel valued and comfortable in their own home. The family have had full confidence with this provider, especially during the Covid period. So much appreciated!

I have used Consultus Care for my parents for the last five years. They had a rota of carers mainly from South Africa. On the whole they were extremely good. They looked after all aspects of my parents’ increasing needs. I would recommend the agency.

Although listed as January 2024 on the top, this review covers a period of two years when Consultus provided carers for my mother. At the age of 101, she needed daily supervision and help with showering. Later, when bedridden, the work for the carer became more intense, and we solved this by having three times a day an outside nurse coming in to assist our carer. Looking back over the whole period, we can only commend the staff Consultus selected and put forward. We maybe had one carer who did not fit in, and Consultus ensured that this person was then scheduled elsewhere. Communication with the office was, in general, very good, with friendly and professional communication and support. All issues (mainly in relation to scheduling if a carer, coming from abroad, made a very tight or too tight connection) were resolved professionally. And we were never without cover. So I feel that I can wholeheartedly recommend Consultus to anybody who is looking for Full-time, in-house care.

After a brief period in a care home, it became clear that my mother would be better suited with live-in care. I was recommended Consultus and called to speak with the care coordinator to explain our situation. From my conversation with the care coordinator, it was obvious that she cared and she took the time during the initial call to assess Mum’s needs, therefore expertly matching the right carer with Mum. We had four consecutive carers over the space of five to six weeks: the first carer (from Zimbabwe) was 8/10. We then had another carer (from South Africa) - she was 10/10 and really got things organised. Another carer (from Essex) was a weekend cover and another 10/10. Then for the final two weeks before Mum passed, we had another carer (from South Africa), another 10/10. Conclusion - Consultus and its carers were excellent and allowed Mum to spend her last few weeks in her own home; surrounded by people who loved her, loads of flowers and of course her beloved cat. We can wholeheartedly recommend Consultus and are really so grateful to the care coordinator and all the ladies she sent us.

We have used Consultus services since 2017, first for our mother (now 97) in her own home and then after she came to live with my sister and I. Over the last almost 6 years we have had a carer living in the house caring for our mother and fitting in with the arrangements at home here. We have always found Consultus to be reliable and responsive in finding us carers. There have been occasions when an emergency arose and we needed a new carer and this was quickly sorted out for us. Having the carer here for our mother meant we were able to travel to visit family and friends abroad.

The carers themselves have been of a high professional standard, with care for our mother central to their approach. They have all been well-trained and have been a great source of advice and support over the years. We have built good relationships with our regular carers, particularly during the pandemic.

I would highly recommend this organisation and the carers who work with them.

Consultus has supplied many carers to care for my elderly father over the last few years, some have returned again and again, with the first carer who came taking on the main caring role. I can honestly say that they have all been very professional, caring, patient, reliable and attentive carers. Many of them have also become good friends, who I know I will keep in touch with in the future. During COVID the carer had to stay for 12 weeks, without a break, but still never complained! My father died at the age of 102 and I am sure he lived to such a great age due to the wonderful care he received from the Consultus carers. I have passed on the contact details of Consultus to many friends over the years and will continue to do so!

Consultus has been absolutely exemplary. Every carer they sent us has been compassionate, kind, knowledgable - simply outstanding. My mother's two main carers were amazing women who cared for my mother so beautifully. They were enormous fun, brought joy to her life and kept such a professional and supportive relationship with my brother and I. Consultus is a very special care agency that I am recommending to every person I know who finds themselves needing a carer. I can’t thank them all enough.

When a new carer came to take over, it was amazing to see how thorough each one was, sharing their daily notes, the duties of the job and the needs of the clients. This really helped with a much more seamless start. I never thought that live-in care was going to be such a positive experience, but with Consultus it really has been just that!

I would recommend them to provide care for loved ones enabling them to stay in their own homes.

We have been grateful to Consultus for providing us with a steady flow of carers over the past four years or so. At first, they were helping with my father-in-law and later with my mother-in-law, who became increasingly frail over the period of a few years. All the carers were empathetic and patient and made sure that my parents-in-law were the centre of attention for them, which included cooking special meals, keeping them company when it was needed and accommodating the visits of friends and family amongst other things. Many of them returned several times and were welcomed by all in the house. On one occasion, when one of the carers suddenly became unavailable, Consultus were able to provide a replacement immediately.

It has had a huge impact on the successful convalescence and recovery and managed to make the experience enjoyable for everyone in the process.
