Our fees range from £27.40 for a 30 minute visit to £34.60 for a 1 hour visit during the week
and £37.00 at weekends.
An additional 40p per visit is charged for fuel for the care assistant.

A1 always tried their best to offer consistent and high-quality service to a quite demanding client. They worked very well with me and listened when I raised issues. When Dad was poorly after a fall, staff really showed they cared.

It took a while but eventually Mum has a regular carer(s) and it has been very useful to receive an email regarding the rota for the week ahead. Any time there has been a concern, the admin/management team take it on board. Covid-19 has put a strain however A1 have tried their very best and our carers
we chose are always very professional but sympathetic with Mum's needs, especially one carer who I cannot name!

We have had A1 Home Care for many years now. Firstly for my father and now for my mother. Staff are always polite and caring. They are very helpful for Mum and are always friendly. Thank you and all the staff for all their help with Mum.

The carers that I have are efficient and always on time. Some have become good friends and do over and above what is required. The office staff are always friendly and willing to help. I am so grateful for everything you do that enables me to stay in my own home. Thank you so much.

I have had the same carer now 20 years and I sware by his help and sup[port in what I do. I can do all the jobs in the house wash, iron, hoover, dust, bed change and sort out the food for the day. Doing varied bits for the week. Go to town on my electric chair as I want to go shopping daily to the local
shop to get what I need and I have a family to look after. All my paperwork and finance, not bad for a man who spent 18 months in a coma and had to relearn from scratch in 8 months to live independently.

Our main carer is a treasure. We are very lucky to have her. She is always very cheerful and knows how to handle a dementia patient. The relief carers are good with the personal care that is needed.

The care my father received up to July this year was acceptable (with some carers were outstanding), but once they had left the company we noted a big change in the care my father received and this was not in a good way. The company insisted that a hoist was brought in but did not send in carers that
had been trained. Therefore every time they used it (it was often used when it was not needed) they were hurting my father. On the advice of the management, it was suggested that we place a camera in his room to see what is happening. This is what was seen:
Carers shouting at my father, and not helping him out of bed.
We were told he needed two carers to get him out of bed but this was often done by only one.
It also became clear that he was not taken to the toilet when he was put to bed, meaning that some often had to go and help him after they had been.
We keep being told that he needs 45 min in the morning, but they are only in 20/25 minutes, so paying for care not needed.

We take the health and safety of our staff and service users very seriously. Where we feel that a service user is not able to mobilise safely without equipment we follow guidelines and seek advice from NHS Professionals as to the least evasive and safest way to transfer a service user, once the visit has been made by an Occupational Therapist we follow the guidance given. All our staff are trained to use all equipment supplied and have undertaken not only the mandatory courses but additional courses.

I have had A1 home care services for the past few months.
The whole team of carers that visited me, were professional, kind, respectful and Covid aware.
I felt comfortable with them being in my home and anything they did, was done to a high standard.
I had reason to speak with the manager on a number
of occasions and felt she was very approachable. This has created trust in me for this company, I would recommend them 100%.

My aunt first started using A1 several years ago, initially for 30 minutes per day. As she aged and physically deteriorated she had carers 3 times per day until she went into hospital and then a care home. The carers treated her with respect and dignity. The office staff were always very approachable
and understanding and very thorough in checking the reports of the carers' visits.

Nicky is responsible for Domiciliary and Community Care Support Teams and the daily duties/tasks that keep the Company fully compliant and working within the Care Standards and guidelines. Nicky compliments and heads the full management team that make A1 Home Care one of the most quality driven Companies offering care provision in the Essex area. Nicky has a considerable amount of experience working with the elderly and those with Specialist and Complex care needs.
Nicky has a lot of empathy and always makes clients and their families feel at ease and takes the pressure off relatives making sure the client has everything they need to be comfortable and feel secure in their own home.

Patrick Started the Company back in 2007/2008, he along with Care Manager Nicky Cook has built up the business making sure that the team offers the highest quality care and support to clients and their families.
Patrick has now handed the reigns for the day to day operations over to Nicky Cook, (Registered Care Manager and Head of Operations).
Patrick now mainly deals with strategy and the finances of the company.
