Instead, she is very pleased with the service. Carers are friendly, polite, kind to the client and VERY patient.
Overall a very useful, good service to our client.
I have been cared for in the past 20 months and the service has been first class, always with the same carer.
Recently discharged from hospital following shoulder replacement and receiving physiotherapy. I require assistance in the morning to shower and dress etc. The Abbots Care is excellent, always come at a time suitable to me and always friendly and helpful. The carer also takes me to the hospital for my regular three-monthly checkup. An excellent service.
Grateful to have the same carers most times and to have the same time slots.
They are well trained and it's so nice as you build up a nice relationship with them too. So I'm very impressed and happy with them. I wouldn't want any other care agency.
I have used Abbots as my care provider for 15 years and this has given me greater independence when accessing social activities with friends. They have changed my life by helping me be normal and independent, this means a lot to me and my family. They help me with things like, going to parties and sometimes even help me to enjoy a night out. Abbots have helped me access volunteer opportunities and plan a summer party; this means a lot and gives me a sense of purpose and self-belief. The carers here are caring, compassionate and fully committed to the clients they support, as are the staff in the office. As a company they care about their clients, the on-call team are always available to ease any anxieties I may have or answer any queries.
Carers are friendly and helpful and always willing to help. My uncle has been well cared for and supported very well by all who have come into contact with him. Special thanks to the carers who both have gone above and beyond.
Overall this agency has provided only an adequate level of care - there have been several recurring issues including a lack of consistency of carers, the quality of carers if extremely variable, as is the quality of communications with the office team.
It has been my experience that this agency is overly concerned with protecting its reputation rather than doing the right thing and being open and straight with service user's representatives.

Meet the Team (4)
Together with my family, I founded Abbots Care in 1995 with a mission to provide the highest quality of home care and put Clients in charge of their own choices.
I have worked in the health and social care environment since 1988, as a Support Worker for adults and children, and then as a Care Manager with a national recruitment organisation before commencing with Abbots Care in 1995. I am an NVQ assessor, and a back-care trainer and have a Registered Manager's Award in Care.
I have worked in the Health and Social Care sector for over 20 years. After starting my career working with children, I joined a national care recruitment organisation for the following 17 years, where I registered with CQC and started managing a complex care service to people within their own homes. I completed my level 5 in Leadership in Care Management Services and became a registered manager with CQC before joining Abbots Care as Operations Director.
With over 15 years of experience in the care sector, I have held various roles, including Care Worker, Senior Care Worker, Field Care Supervisor, and Care Coordinator. Currently as Care Director, I have gained Level 5 qualifications in Health and Social Care. I have received STEPs training and hold a Level 4 safeguarding certification. I find fulfillment in delivering compassionate care that enhances individuals’ quality of life
I am a dedicated and experienced professional with over 10 years of experience in the care sector. I have successfully transitioned from direct care provision to my current role as Reablement & Specialist Care Manager as well as registered Care Manager with the CQC for our Dorset and Buckinghamshire provision. My passion for delivering exceptional care and improving lives drives me to make a broader impact.
