The contract visit time is 8 - 9 am. Sometimes the rota is scheduled for upto 45 minutes later.
Not good for someone with dementia who likes a fixed schedule.
Also too many different careers on the rota.
Would be better if it could be just 4 or 5 people visiting the same customer.

Very helpful, nice staff. Have used them for just over a year with little/no reason for complaint. Carers are generally the same ones week to week so a rapport can be established. Care days cannot be amended without a months notice. I understand for that for major changes but for an odd day it would be nice to be able to give less notice (one or two weeks).

Thank you for letting us know about the cancellation period and understand the frustration but we do this because our care team are all salaried employees, not zero hours so we rota 4 weeks in advance.
In September 2025, we changed to our local carers. In particular I found the.office staff more than accommodating; nothing is too much trouble! We have had a team of about 4 regular carers, all contributing to the breath of fresh air JC Homecare brought with them from day 1. They are all cheerful, respectful, helpful, patient and thorough. I can relax from the second they arrive . They know the routines of the house, and all Eddies likes and dislikes. He responds well to each and all of them.I am so happy I made the change and recommend JCH unreservedly!

I have recently had more communication with J C Homecare due to my Dad being in hospital and needing more care for my Mum. I have found them very easy, friendly and professional to deal with both at this time and in the past. The carers who come to visit are always very friendly, caring, helpful and yet remain professional. In the past they have raised a health concern after a visit which I was then able to follow up. They were very flexible in being able to provide more care at short notice for my Mum. They are very good value for money, taking into account the peace of mind it gives me to know my parents are being cared for.

Office staff and support workers are all really approachable and keep us informed daily via a handy app. They are also quick to email or phone with any specific worries.
Everyone goes above and beyond to help us and I have complete confidence is their care and expertise. Most importantly, it is obvious that the support workers genuinely care for Mum. In fact, I don't know where we'd be without JC Homecare!

JC Homecare have been looking after my 98 year old great aunt for over 18 months now and they have been amazing. The support staff are all fabulous local ladies who genuinely care. Not only do they deal with the necessities like cooking, personal care, medication etc but they also provide much needed companionship to my great aunt. The office staff are equally brilliant, they keep me constantly updated and nothing is ever too much trouble. I would definitely recommend the Manager and his team to anyone who is needing help to look after a loved one, they have given me peace of mind and have enabled my great aunt to continue to live in her own home at such a good age.

Initially, Jane Caress Ltd's staff came to care for my husband, and they were exemplary, kind, professional and very thoughtful. They also helped me personally, and I could not fault the care recieved. Knowing that certain members of the team would arrive consistently was comforting, and allowed me to strike up a very good relationship with them. In addition, the office and administrative support staff were very helpful and efficient.

Last month whilst I was away my husband suffered a T.I.A. The carer got help immediately and my husband was taken into hospital. The carer was exemplary, she coped with the situation efficiently, professionally, and with great compassion. She went to the hospital with my husband and stayed with my husband all day until I was able to get there.
The owner of the care agency kept me informed at all times, which was so comforting.

The manager and her team took care of my father in the last 6 months of his life. How we ever managed without them I don’t know. They cared for Dad with respect, empathy and kindness and were sympathetic to all his needs. Importantly, the support they gave us as a family was second to none. I cannot recommend the manager and her team highly enough, they really are 5-star.

Couldn’t ask for a better treatment and thoughtfulness, every need thought of, and other needs suggested and then a check to see everything had happened. For example: was I satisfied that the treatment was happening; was the kettle I was using too heavy; was access to the toilet reasonable?

3. But, perhaps most importantly, the carer engaged and communicated with the client in a very positive fashion.
Overall, great care was provided enabling a longer time at home before care needs required a nursing home.
Very organised. Looks after stuff and makes me feel like I have a friend. The girls are trained in what people need and make me feel safe. Whatever is done is done right. Nothing is too much.

The carers came for approximately 8 years and were all very helpful.
