Over all time Ascot Care has 67 reviews.
Ascot Care have provided support to both of my parents for several years and after Mum's passing seventeen months ago, have looked after my dad who has dementia with respect, compassion and dignity since. This has taken much of the stress from the situation from our shoulders. The communication with Ascot and the carers is excellent, and my dad is happy and very comfortable in his own home. The carers and company do really care for Dad and his well-being which is fantastic, and have built a strong understanding of Dad and his care needs.
Ascot care has been providing care for my husband for over a year. The standard of care provided by the individual carers is first class, they treat him with respect and kindness, they are professional and very friendly making the calls go with ease.
My daughter and her husband have been clients of Ascot Care for many years. As they are a couple with learning difficulties they could not have managed without them and some of them have become good friends. They have never had anyone they did not get on with. The office staff are always friendly and helpful.
I was given notice by Registered Manager citing unable to cover the care package as no longer had sufficient Carers. Had recently experienced two shower calls and one lunch call not covered. My flat was not being cleaned to a standard I am used to.
We are sorry to have received this review, as previously you submitted two very positive reviews. It is with a heavy heart that you were given notice as your care needs changed and we did not have sufficient capacity to support this. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the specific care...
Ascot Care has been providing care for my father for the last six months. I have been so impressed by the standard of care and by the efficiency and smooth running of this family-run business. Everything is so well organised and totally dependable. Ascot Care treated my father with compassion and respect, the carers were always reliable, professional and very capable. It has meant that it has taken away the worry of looking after an elderly father.
My husband has received daily personal care from Ascot Care for several months. From the initial consultation onto the ongoing care, he has been treated with respect and patient understanding. Through this approach, he gained trust and confidence in his carers. I wish I had used Ascot Care from the start of his needs several years ago.
Choosing the right agency to provide care for a loved one is very difficult and stressful but with Ascot Care, we knew very quickly that we had made the right decision. The visiting carers were all professional, compassionate and helpful. The office staff were supportive and provided excellent communication. I would not hesitate to recommend Ascot Care.
Finding the right carer for a loved family member is very difficult as you are leaving their care and well-being to a stranger. Ascot worked with us as a family to ensure we found the right carers, initially for drop-in care but now live-in. It hasn't always been an easy road but with their support and understanding, we now have the most amazing team of carers.
Over time we needed increasing levels of care at home for my parents. At the beginning, it was daily visits, at the end, it was nighttime care for both of them. Ascot responded impeccably. Always there to help and put our minds at rest that they were cared for. I would recommend Ascot Care to anyone wanting a reference. Thank you Ascot!
An ideal mix of friendship and professionalism.
Very good most of the time.
From the initial assessment interview, I have found Ascot Care Ltd to be professional, reliable, and caring, beyond our expectations. Ascot have never let us down and are really a delight to work with. They are good at adapting to needs as they change and are excellent for us as they know what's going on locally which helps to keep us in touch. Open days are a great idea.
All carers very kind and helpful. Always looks forward to the visit.
Ascot Care alwats tried to fulfil our requests. It was difficult sometimes to have continued care from just one carer, but they did their best to minimise the changes as my father could not cope with change. We were very impressed that we were able to have a flexible end date, having given the required four-week notice Ascot Care were prepared to cover longer with hardly any notice if needed. Always good communication with the office.
We have been a client of Ascot Care for a number of years. In January 2021, the entire household was struck down with Covid-19. Fortunately, my wife suffered very little symptoms. However, I and my son (co-carer) were hospitalised, Ascot Care went beyond the call of duty and provided line-in care within one hour. They always provide a high standard of service and listen to any queries we might have. The domiciliary staff are really excellent and treat my wife with dignity and respect.
I cannot tell you how comforting it has been using Ascot Care. I live 2 hours drive away from my aunt and yet I never had any concerns or cause for complaint. I consider the treatment and care they gave as 5-star.
The best decision we made was to ask Ascot Care For help. My friend has a 24 hr carer, break time carers and support from the office. It has been a weight off me and a massive reduction in stress and anxiety having the support we are getting. They have taken on the burden of liaising with healthcare professionals and looking into options to enable excellent care to be given to my friend. The 24-hour carers have been excellent, especially given a very rough ride from my friend who was struggling to accept that she couldn’t walk. We have a long term carer who has patience in abundance and seem to really care. They liaise with me and keep me informed when I visit and at other times. While still maintaining the professional distance they, and others, are able to demonstrate to my friend, and me, that it is her best interests they are thinking of at all times. We trialled a nursing home and that was a disaster and actually not too different in costs given the 1-1 support she gets.
Mum used Ascot Care for 2 years following a stomach cancer diagnosis and additional care was required after decision to stop treatment. Carers were always pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Due to Covid-19, I moved in to shield with mum and arrangements were made for the same carer each day to reduce risk of infection. Mum did not want me to do her personal care, and to start, mornings were enough but as she became bedridden we added an evening visit to make her comfortable. A couple of hours were later added to allow me some respite to get my permitted exercise or extra sleep. I felt cared for as they cared for mum. Exceptional flexible service that ensured my mum got to see her last days peacefully at home. I couldn’t have coped for the last 3 weeks without them due to the lockdown that was in place. If she had been forced to go into a home, hospice or hospital I would have lost the time with her as no visitors are allowed. I have and will continue to highly recommend Ascot Care.
Always adaptable.
It has been reassuring to have Ascot Care workers in my home. I have enjoyed the consistency of my care. After originally being an unwilling participant in the initial meetings to organise my care. I have been pleasantly surprised by the care and attention I have received. I still have my independence but am reassured by the presence of carers in my home. So far a good service provided.
