Betamindes was a lifesaver for me. My husband was well looked after and enjoyed going. The staff were kind and friendly. He has a good experience there.
So happy to hear how pleased you are, and thank you for your lovely kind words.
Companionship and friends.
Thank you for taking the time to review our services.
Excellent care and good to have carers with dementia knowledge. I would recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We invest in our staff to ensure they have the knowledge and care to attend to our clients with Dementia.
My wife has been a client for over ten years, at first in daycare when I felt I could leave her with confidence. As the Alzheimer's progressed, the daycare became impractical, and we switched to care in our own home. I was my wife's sole carer but looked forward to the hour or so given each week by Betamindes, again, I could leave her with confidence, and for the last few years, generally has the same carer each week, which gave consistency.
It was a total pleasure to be involved in supporting your wife and yourself over the years and being able to provide a seamless service that met both of your changing needs as required.
Excellent care and support over the past couple of weeks. Professional service.
We all adore your dad. He is almost part of the 100-year club! Always singing, smiling and engaging with everyone here. Thank you for taking the time to do a review.
When my mum needed more care than I could give her and I was getting to feel that I was unable to cope 24/5, the best thing I did was to enquire if Betamindes could help. The whole team were so helpful and supportive to my mum and myself, they are very kind and patient. My mum really enjoys the daycare centre twice a week and likes the carers on a Sunday. I am so thankful to have them as my mum declines.
Your mum loves her time here at Betamindes and particularly enjoys doing our armchair exercise. Our carers love spending time with your mum and your mum really enjoys the companionship. Thank you for your kind words and support.
Mum goes to Betamindes twice a week, she looks forward to the club every week and is buzzing every time she gets home. She has made lots of friends and enjoys all the activities and thinks the food is lovely, she said it's a wonderful place to meet her friends. The change in mum is amazing 5 stars out of 5 stars. The staff are helpful and friendly to both mum and the family.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, it is amazing to see in the short time your Mum has been coming to Betamindes daycare the positive difference in her.
My husband spent 2 or 3 days at Betamindes from time to time. He was mainly cared for by myself and our son but when holidays intervened we booked him in as necessary. Even though visits were not regular he was met with recognition and made to feel important and welcome. Following his death, I received a very understanding card and copies of photos we were able to use amongst other memories at his funeral.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to be able to support you when required.
The care provided by Betaminde carers enabled me to keep my wife at home in the same environment, not in a care home. This gave me some ME time. The staff were always punctual if they were to be delayed I was informed. At all times the staff worked for my wife and gave me peace of mind.
We thank you for your kind words and are so very pleased that we were able to provide the support that suited you both best.
After an introductory visit by both of us, my husband has attended twice a week. He is picked up and brought home by the kindest, most helpful driver who assists him to and from the car. My husband looks forward to going to Betaminds, enjoys it and comes home healthily tired. He enjoys the activities and company, and a change from being at home. All the staff are very kind and helpful and encourage him to be as independent as possible.
We appreciate your kind words and yes we enjoy his sense of humour greatly!
I have found Betamindes to be extremely helpful and extremely kind to my husband. Always available to answer questions or concerns. I would highly recommend.
We are so humbled by your fantastic feedback. We are lucky to have lots of laughs with your husband, such a funny character.
My mum goes to Betamindes four days a week, and really loves it. She calls it her club and gets so excited when she knows it's her days there. The staff are kind, caring and can't do enough to make everyone so welcome. They really look after Mum, and I have no worries at all, so I go to work in all confidence that Mum is being well looked after. She also has one of the carers bring her home and stay with her till 5 pm, so she is on her own for the least time possible, and they are very good, patient and kind to her. I wouldn't put my mum anywhere but at Betaminders. Even the office staff are lovely, good and helpful. Such peace of mind for me.
Wonderful feedback thank you so much. It's our pleasure to support your lovely mum.
Before my dad went into a care home recently he used Betamindes for about 4 years. I cannot praise them enough they were absolutely brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for them. It is a testament to them that we were able to live in his own home for so long.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback, it has been our pleasure to look after your lovely Dad.
Most friendly and obliging care company I spoke to. They provided the amount of care I required at a reasonable rate. The representative visited to explain the details of the company. and took the full medical history of my husband. Program of planned visits with names of carer issued the same day. All carers have been very caring and friendly. Bravo!
Lovely feedback thank you. We try our hardest to make sure the whole process is as seamless as possible for everyone, so we are very happy we achieved this for you.
Good reliable company but does have staff issues. Continuity is the biggest problem. As a client, regular carers are most important because a routine is established with the patient.
Many thanks for your feedback and we apologise for the disruptions to our services recently. We have worked hard to resolve these issues during the pandemic.
1) Certain management lack inspiration/confidence, don't seem to have hands-on regarding forward projection or indeed internal administration, also clients needs/records etc.
2) In structure correct to meet future needs/services.
3) Initially ok with senior staff, an open yearly meeting to cover planning with targets of objectives, etc.
4) Daily care staff to be fully trained in all aspects of clients' needs (health problems, disability, food hygiene, cooking.) Also, respect of any clients equipment.
5) The importance of personal hygiene, providing meals and also advice (various needs) of GP service.
6) Project with quality/services is the essence of achievement!
We take on board your feedback and will use this as a learning aid for future reference. We will discuss this with you personally and help to make the changes/improvements necessary to ensure a more suitable service.
Nothing is ever too much for the girls to do, they are always very friendly. Excellent service.
Many thanks for your kind words we are very proud of our wonderful team.
Nice to hear the occasional chatter with the carers, even though difficult to understand but the occasional smile says it all and makes their visits so important and worthwhile.
A lovely review thank you so much we will pass your comments on to our wonderful team.
Could not have a better care team, nothing was too much trouble. All carers were superb, and we could not have coped without them. They coped very well with all the ups and downs of a very awkward elderly man.
Thank you for your review; we will pass it onto the team.
My husband has been attending Betamindes day service for the last 6 months. He really looks forward to going and the environment is very homely and welcoming. The activities are paced through the day and the group setting provides stimulation that I often find hard to replicate at home particularly in current times. I have also found them very supportive to me and the two days I get to myself every week are a lifesaver.
It is good as you say in this current time for you both to be finding the benefit of our daycare service.

Ian is from the local area and has been in business since the age of 23. He ran a successful joinery/carpentry business for 25 years before setting up Betamindes in 2005 with his wife Dawne. Ian has a personal interest and experience of looking after family members with different types of dementia and has used this extensive knowledge to create the quality service provided today.
‘On setting up Betamindes we had a very clear picture of the future, “our vision”. Today we are determined to stick to our principles and believe that everyone is entitled to the care package of their choice and Betamindes will be there to support our clients to make the process as seamless as possible’
Dawne worked within the NHS as a Registered Mental Nurse from 1985 – 2006, gaining vast knowledge and experience in the psychiatric arena before moving specifically into Dementia care in the late 1990s.
Dawne set up and managed day care centres in joint ventures with the NHS and Social Services in the West Midlands and South Cheshire area before launching Betamindes in 2005 as a family-run business in her local area of Wistaston.
We endeavour to ensure that our passion for an excellent quality service is entrenched in our organisational culture. We advocate bringing our passion and understanding to meet each person’s needs
With over 24 years of experience in adult social care, I’ve built a career grounded in compassion, purpose, and continuous learning. From starting out as a Care Assistant to becoming Operations Manager at Betamindes Care Services, I’ve always believed that everyone deserves to live with dignity and independence.
I lead our team with a commitment to person-centred care, empowering staff to deliver services that truly make a difference. I’m passionate about building strong relationships. Listening, supporting, and helping people thrive in their own homes and communities.
My background in commissioning and contract management gives me a strategic view of how we can deliver flexible, high-quality care that goes beyond expectations.
At Betamindes, we’re not just meeting needs, we’re creating a culture where people feel valued, respected, safe and supported.
The care sector is always evolving, and I’m proud to grow with it, continually improving services and advocating for those we support.
I’ve worked in care for almost 40 years, gaining experience across many areas, including care homes, extra care, homecare, and enablement services. I began my career as a care assistant and worked my way through different roles to where I am today. For over 15 years, I have been a Registered Manager, but no matter my role, my passion has always been and always will be within care.
My management background has given me experience in every aspect of this work. One of my proudest achievements was navigating a large team through the challenges of the pandemic with compassion and resilience at the heart of everything we did. I have strong knowledge of legislation, CQC standards and targets, and I bring great communication, risk management, and leadership skills to my role.
I am qualified with a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, NVQ Level 3 and Level 4, and I’m also an A1 Assessor and Internal Verifier, to name a few of my achievements. I’d describe myself as a critical thinker, a problem solver, and above all, someone passionate about delivering the highest standard of quality care.
I bring to Betamindes not only my experience and knowledge of the care sector but also my drive to encourage and support my team. I strive to be the best I can be, and I love inspiring others to push themselves, aim for excellence, and deliver care that truly makes a difference.
I have been working in the care sector for over 4 years. Before that, I worked in Education.
isolation.
To relax, I enjoy crafts such as knitting, crocheting, and art. However, I am always happiest when I am sitting on a beach in the sunshine.
I started at Betamindes Care in August this year, but I’ve been working in the care sector for 35 years. Over that time, I’ve built up a wealth of experience, particularly in dementia care and palliative care. A role that I have been honoured to be a part of for many years. Alongside this, I’m also a qualified hairdresser.
For me, care has never been just a job. I love making a difference and enabling people to smile through the work we do. I’m a real team player, and I’m always on hand to help and support others whenever I can. Training in all areas of care has always been important to me; it isn’t just part of the role, it’s something I truly dedicate myself to.
Joining Betamindes felt like stepping into a family. We work hard, we laugh, and we support one another. Our work will always make a difference, and that’s what makes it so special. It doesn’t feel like “work”, it’s so much more, something that truly warms my heart, and I feel privileged to be a part of.
