At Betamindes, staff are fully committed to supporting your independence, whether in your own home, out and about or here at the Day Centre.

It is committed to providing the highest quality care service throughout the Cheshire area including Nantwich, Crewe, Shavington, Wistaston, Wybunbury, Haslington and Sandbach.

The services include the provision of community home care and respite care services facilitated in the day centre.

At Betamindes, staff work collaboratively with other health providers to deliver a person-centred, holistic service to the individuals supported.

The CQC inspection in 2019 rated Betamindes as Good overall and they are constantly striving to improve. Staff actively encourage feedback from all the stakeholders involved in the delivery of support services and endeavour to provide a reactive response as part of their promise.

Staff know that the transition from living independently to requiring support can be overwhelming. Staff are here to offer expertise and support throughout the journey and advocate working in the best interests of those who use the services.

The Betamindes culture promotes richness, meaningfulness and engagement for those who are supported. Whether it be a shopping trip, a companionship visit in the home or a day spent with staff here in the day care centre, it is here every step of the way to empower and enable everyone to live the life of their choice.

Betamindes Ltd has provided a care service to my mother for the last 4 and a half years. The carers who have attended always provide a conscientious service capable of dealing with difficult situations especially as my mother's needs increase with her ageing years. Also, I have always had help and support
from the office staff.

Betamindes was recommended to us when we needed a carer for Mum in 2013. She quickly took to the loving and sensitive care. When Dad started to need care in 2015 it was a no-brainer to call on Betamindes again. The carers were skilled (both practically and emotionally) in dealing with Dad's increasingly
individual and complex needs. We have always thought of them as our "Angels of Mercy" and will be forever grateful for their care and love.

I cannot fault the care my 96-year-old mother has received during the 12 months of using Betamindes Ltd. The staff are kind, caring and very helpful. The daycare centre is both relaxing and also full of activities to keep the mind stimulated. The centre also provides excellent home care.

I am very pleased with the service my father is receiving. The ladies are very professional and have, on occasion, gone the extra mile by getting my dad a paper or milk from the shop. I would highly recommend Betamindes Ltd to anybody who is in need of their services.

I find the carers of Betamindes, who have been attending to my needs for the past 9 months, very punctual and very helpful if you have any worries. The 30 minutes they spend with me makes my day, that's why I have scored them top marks. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have always found the carers of Betamindes extremely caring and efficient in every way. If they are slightly late they are very apologetic. I find the whole package is absolutely excellent. I do recommend your company to others.

Wife was engaged throughout the day with a variety of crafts, music, discussions and other interests. The food was varied and well received. Staff have been cheerful, caring and respectful. Wife has raised no complaint over the weeks and always welcomes the days when she is taken to Betamindes.

Father-in-law enjoyed his days with Betamindes albeit only a short time. Mum has started to attend and participates in the activities, eats a good lunch and enjoys the company. After taking a while to get her to attend, she realises that it's company she misses at home. It gives me peace of mind that
she is well cared for. Weekends are starting to be a problem as she does not get out of bed 'as nothing to do'.

My partner attended the day centre for about 2 years and she loved it. Her mood was always a lot happier when I picked her up and she slept better afterwards. Having the support of the day centre meant my partner stayed at home for a lot longer than we anticipated as I was able to manage with having
a break.

The staff are sensitive and thoughtful in the way they deal with Mum and our family whilst we travel the dementia journey. It is hard to support someone who is having to give up her independence but still insists she can do lots of things which are now beyond her. They have worked hard to develop her
trust and maintain her dignity whilst doing the personal stuff. They have been unfailingly patient whilst her demands and preferences change from day to day.

My only complaint is that we haven't yet found a foolproof way of communicating with them on the little things, which are often the most important. The care file is always filled in but rarely do they have time to look at the family section so we have resorted to a notepad on the kitchen counter. Our situation is that I live nearby and we pop in most days so maybe this is a bit unusual. Overall I find the care plan file a bit confusing, and not very user-friendly because it can be difficult to find the relevant page.

We are very pleased with the care my brother is receiving. The ladies and gent are very caring and dedicated to their work.

My brother seems happy and pleased to see his carers, this means a lot to us. They have great respect for him and are eager to learn about his past. Hopefully, this will enable

them to interact with him on subjects he is familiar with.

It is also important to have dementia training and talking to some of the carers they have also experienced it within their family.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.733 for Betamindes Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (22 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 30 Ratings = 4.733

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Betamindes Ltd is based on 5 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4.5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

I’ve worked in care for almost 40 years, gaining experience across many areas, including care homes, extra care, homecare, and enablement services. I began my career as a care assistant and worked my way through different roles to where I am today. For over 15 years, I have been a Registered Manager, but no matter my role, my passion has always been and always will be within care.

My management background has given me experience in every aspect of this work. One of my proudest achievements was navigating a large team through the challenges of the pandemic with compassion and resilience at the heart of everything we did. I am qualified with a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, NVQ Level 3 and Level 4, and I’m also an A1 Assessor and Internal Verifier, to name a few of my achievements. I have been working in the care sector for over 4 years. Before that, I worked in Education.

I enjoy working in the care industry and I get a lot of job satisfaction out of knowing I can make a difference in someone's life and also play a small part in combating issues such as loneliness and
isolation.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, my husband, children and grandchildren.
To relax I enjoy crafts such as knitting, crochet and art. However, I am always happiest when I am sitting on a beach in the sunshine.

I started at Betamindes Care in August this year, but I’ve been working in the care sector for 35 years. Over that time, I’ve built up a wealth of experience, particularly in dementia care and palliative care. A role that I have been honored to be a part of for many years. Alongside this, I’m also a qualified hairdresser.

For me, care has never been just a job. I love making a difference and enabling people to smile through the work we do. I’m a real team player and I’m always on hand to help and support others whenever I can. Training in all areas of care has always been important to me; it isn’t just part of the role, it’s something I truly dedicate myself to.

Joining Betamindes felt like stepping into a family. We work hard, we laugh, and we support one another. Our work will always make a difference, and that’s what makes it so special. It doesn’t feel like “work”, it’s so much more, something that truly warms my heart, and I feel privileged to be a part of.

I’ve worked in the NHS for 16 years, delivering care to people of all ages. During that time, I’ve gained so much knowledge and experience in the care industry, and when I saw the opportunity to apply for the role of Care Co-Ordinator at Betamindes Care, I knew it was the right step for me. I joined Betamindes this year and already feel right at home.

I’ve always wanted to make a difference, and I truly feel that I do working for Betamindes Care.
