Thank you, David, we appreciate the time you have taken in sending us a review.
My only complaint is that we haven't yet found a foolproof way of communicating with them on the little things, which are often the most important. The care file is always filled in but rarely do they have time to look at the family section so we have resorted to a notepad on the kitchen counter. Our situation is that I live nearby and we pop in most days so maybe this is a bit unusual. Overall I find the care plan file a bit confusing, and not very user-friendly because it can be difficult to find the relevant page.
Thank you Helen for your feedback. We will look into your comments and respond to you personally.
My brother seems happy and pleased to see his carers, this means a lot to us. They have great respect for him and are eager to learn about his past. Hopefully, this will enable
It is also important to have dementia training and talking to some of the carers they have also experienced it within their family.

Ian is from the local area and has been in business since the age of 23. He ran a successful joinery/carpentry business for 25 years before setting up Betamindes in 2005 with his wife Dawne. Ian has a personal interest and experience of looking after family members with different types of dementia and has used this extensive knowledge to create the quality service provided today.
‘On setting up Betamindes we had a very clear picture of the future, “our vision”. Today we are determined to stick to our principles and believe that everyone is entitled to the care package of their choice and Betamindes will be there to support our clients to make the process as seamless as possible’
Dawne worked within the NHS as a Registered Mental Nurse from 1985 – 2006, gaining vast knowledge and experience in the psychiatric arena before moving specifically into Dementia care in the late 1990s.
Dawne set up and managed day care centres in joint ventures with the NHS and Social Services in the West Midlands and South Cheshire area before launching Betamindes in 2005 as a family run business in her local area of Wistaston.
‘We endeavour to ensure that our passion for an excellent quality service is entrenched in our organisational culture. We advocate bringing our passion and understanding to meet each person’s needs’
With over 24 years’ experience in adult social care, I’ve built a career grounded in compassion, purpose, and continuous learning. From starting out as a Care Assistant to becoming Operations Manager at Betamindes Care Services, I’ve always believed that everyone deserves to live with dignity and independence.
I lead our team with a commitment to person-centred care, empowering staff to deliver services that truly make a difference. I’m passionate about building strong relationships. Listening, supporting, and helping people thrive in their own homes and communities.
My background in commissioning and contract management gives me a strategic view of how we can deliver flexible, high-quality care that goes beyond expectations.
At Betamindes, we’re not just meeting needs, we’re creating a culture where people feel valued, respected, safe and supported.
The care sector is always evolving, and I’m proud to grow with it, continually improving services and advocating for those we support.
I’ve worked in care for almost 40 years, gaining experience across many areas, including care homes, extra care, homecare, and enablement services. I began my career as a care assistant and worked my way through different roles to where I am today. For over 15 years, I have been a Registered Manager, but no matter my role, my passion has always been and always will be within care.
My management background has given me experience in every aspect of this work. One of my proudest achievements was navigating a large team through the challenges of the pandemic with compassion and resilience at the heart of everything we did. I have strong knowledge of legislation, CQC standards and targets, and I bring great communication, risk management, and leadership skills to my role.
I am qualified with a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, NVQ Level 3 and Level 4, and I’m also an A1 Assessor and Internal Verifier, to name a few of my achievements. I’d describe myself as a critical thinker, a problem solver, and above all, someone passionate about delivering the highest standard of quality care.
I bring to Betamindes not only my experience and knowledge of the care sector but also my drive to encourage and support my team. I strive to be the best I can be, and I love inspiring others to push themselves, aim for excellence, and deliver care that truly makes a difference.
I have been working in the care sector for over 4 years. Before that, I worked in Education.
I enjoy working in the care industry and I get a lot of job satisfaction out of knowing I can make a difference in someone's life and also play a small part in combating issues such as loneliness and
isolation.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, my husband, children and grandchildren.
To relax I enjoy crafts such as knitting, crochet and art. However, I am always happiest when I am sitting on a beach in the sunshine.
I started at Betamindes Care in August this year, but I’ve been working in the care sector for 35 years. Over that time, I’ve built up a wealth of experience, particularly in dementia care and palliative care. A role that I have been honored to be a part of for many years. Alongside this, I’m also a qualified hairdresser.
For me, care has never been just a job. I love making a difference and enabling people to smile through the work we do. I’m a real team player and I’m always on hand to help and support others whenever I can. Training in all areas of care has always been important to me; it isn’t just part of the role, it’s something I truly dedicate myself to.
Joining Betamindes felt like stepping into a family. We work hard, we laugh, and we support one another. Our work will always make a difference, and that’s what makes it so special. It doesn’t feel like “work”, it’s so much more, something that truly warms my heart, and I feel privileged to be a part of.
I’ve worked in the NHS for 16 years, delivering care to people of all ages. During that time, I’ve gained so much knowledge and experience in the care industry, and when I saw the opportunity to apply for the role of Care Co-Ordinator at Betamindes Care, I knew it was the right step for me. I joined Betamindes this year and already feel right at home.
I’ve always wanted to make a difference, and I truly feel that I do working for Betamindes Care. My role is wonderfully varied, from rostering and assessments to providing face-to-face care when needed. I especially enjoy supporting our day care team. The morning welcomes, when our clients arrive, never fail to brighten my day.
For me, the most rewarding part is knowing that my work brings something positive into people’s lives, even if only for a short time during their day. Being part of such a bright, supportive team community at Betamindes makes it even more special.
