I am happy with the care my mother gets, but she is not happy having a male carer, she is not allowing the carers to give her any personal care or change her clothes which is one of the main things she needs a carer for.

The carers are friendly, approachable and very reliable. They inform us if any concerns. Dad was very uneasy about employing carers at first but now looks forwards to their visits. My sister and I feel as though we also have support as well as our dad.

I was very reluctant to have carers as I thought they would invade my privacy, but my family were worried as I had had a few falls. We were recommended to try Bridge Care and so I thought I'd give them a try.

I have been quite happy as all the carers are pleasant and very capable and I feel much better now due to knowing that if I don't feel well, someone is going to call in each morning and help me to get going or contact someone who will do.

Bridge Care Services have looked after mum for several years now, carers visiting 4 times a day. There are about 12 carers who regularly visit. All of them without exception are friendly and professional. Mum really looks forwards to their visits and considers them to be her friends. Communication with the family is excellent. The carer is competent at every visit. Notes are left if anything has run out (e.g bread) and we get a phone call if its anything important. E.g. medication not delivered, low on medical supplies, mum not feeling well etc and as mum is very deaf the carers phone us with any messages mum wants to get to us. I would say that the staff are the company's greatest asset and i would have no hesitation in recommending them indeed, mum's brother now uses then for caring and also cleaning.

My mum has medium stage dementia with very limited short term memory. The 3 times weekly visits allow her to continue living independently while giving us all the reassurance she is ok.

'Bridge Care' send two carers morning and evening to get mum up and dressed, and into bed. They also call four lunchtimes to give mum something to eat, and attend to her personal care.

The carers who attend to mum are the same team each week, so mum is happy for them to help her, as they are familiar faces.
They are all polite, smart and efficient. The staff treat mum with respect and speak to her with consideration, from the youngest carers to the older more experienced carers.
The office staff are also extremely helpful, and go out of their way to help and support both mum, and myself.

'Bridge Care' are an excellent care service.
