The carers provide an excellent service and are always very friendly and welcoming and could not fault them. They work however with difficulties when it comes to travelling time. They finish one job and then have zero travelling time to get to the next even in some cases this is 6 miles away. Management
would be advised to take a day out with carers to see the problems they face.

We have had twice-weekly visits to see our father for the past year. The purpose of the visits has been linked to Dad's emotional well being. Given his lack of mobility, he has been well uplifted by regular contact with the outside world. Carers have always been considerate, friendly, caring and professional
in their interactions. Thank you.

The care provided to the client remains at an excellent level, and the care is provided by a very good group of carers. However, the management alike is not so good. There are frequent changes to the rotas, both in times and carers. Despite many requests, I am not informed of these changes, and it also
appears that there are times when the needs of the client are not met in the compiling of the rota. It is rare I get a response to my emails.

I have been a service user for 18 months now. The Care Support Workers are all very efficient, kind and understanding of me and my partner's challenging circumstances.
I am very satisfied with the care they provide.
However, the management seems persistently unable to remember that I have requested
on many occasions to be told when there is a change in my rota as it can trigger a mental health crisis in my partner, who has PTSD.
Also, my understanding is that the carers are not given adequate travel time between care calls. This means that on many occasions, my carer arrives later than expected and needs to leave slightly earlier to be able to go to their next call with minimum delay.
This is unacceptable from a managing point of view. No one should be expected to go from one place to another in less than a minute, even if the next call is taking place literally next door to the previous one.

I have had little to do with other care providers to date so don't have much to benchmark against. However, I have been extremely impressed with how you, the fabulous team of carers, have been doing your best to support my mother, who is a very difficult person to deal with and at times, quite rude.
You have demonstrated flexibility and patience - thank you.

Having been recommended Caremark by a friend, I used it to be with my husband if I had to go out and leave him. Then, when I needed help myself. I knew who to turn to!

Very satisfied with the provision of care. I feel very well cared for by the team of carers - they are most competent and understanding. I have found the service very reliable and regular communication from the head office and care co-ordinators has been very helpful. I cannot recommend this service
enough. Thank you for your ongoing care and support.

We have 2 passionate, dedicated and hardworking carers and appreciate all they do. They go above and beyond at all times. However, when they are not available, we have found other carers not to the same standard, which raises the question of selection procedure and the type of training given. This job,
we think, requires practical training but some online may be suitable. Also, new employees should have spot checks for several weeks.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.370 for Caremark Pulborough is calculated as follows: ( (56 Excellents x 5) + (36 Goods x 4) + (16 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.37
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Caremark Pulborough is based on 17 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4.925

Martin Jones

Job Title: Managing Director Joined: 2025

Hello, I’m Martin Jones, the new owner of Caremark Horsham and Pulborough.

After 25 years of running a web design agency, I wanted to pursue a career with a deeper purpose and one that had a positive impact on people’s lives.

Although my background isn’t in care, I’ve seen the difference quality home care makes. My wife has worked in the care sector for over 25 years, and my Nan received exceptional care that allowed her to stay independent, comfortable, and happy at home. These experiences inspired me to join Caremark and commit to delivering outstanding, person-centred care.

The future is exciting. My vision for Caremark Horsham is built on three pillars – brand awareness, a strong and passionate team, and delivering quality and compliant care. Ensuring that every customer receives the highest standard of care, enabling them to live independently and with dignity in the place they love most, their own home.

Job Title: Registered Care Manager Joined: 2025

My career started over 20 years ago when I moved from London to West Sussex. I started working nights in a residential care home, from which I became a Care Worker for a domiciliary company, where I worked my way up to Care Coordinator, then Deputy Manager, then Registered Manager.

I have worked with so many dedicated individuals over the years who, like myself, strive to make a difference; it makes me proud to lead a team that goes the extra mile every day for our customers.

I am passionate about providing bespoke support for individuals, allowing them to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. My motto has and always will be, I will support others the way I would wish my own family and friends to be supported; anything less is just not good enough.

My family has grown considerably over the last few years. I have 9 Grandchildren who I love to see as much as possible, (expensive Christmas) I also enjoy travelling and walking my dog with my husband.

Job Title: Care Coordinator Joined: 2026

I started my career in care 13 years ago, working nights in a care home, realising at that time that caring for people was my passion, and the feeling of making just one person's day better was the best I had ever felt. I embarked upon my Nursing degree following working in care for a year. I have now been a Registered Nurse for 9 years, working in a variety of areas, hospitals, hospices, nursing homes and advising the government.

A time came when I decided to take a step back from nursing and use my knowledge and experience in home care, an area I have always been interested in and have been passionate about community care my whole career and providing those who may not receive medical services for a variety of reasons.

I began as a Field Care Supervisor with another home care company, carrying out care calls myself and assisting with quality assurance and compliance. From there, I joined Caremark as a Care Coordinator, and I am looking forward to being able to learn more as well as use my experience to benefit all.

Emma

Emma Jones

Job Title: Field Care Supervisor Joined: 2025

I began my career in care following medical advice to change professions, as fifteen years of working permanent night shifts had negatively impacted my health. In 2022, I relocated to West Sussex for a new beginning and to assist a friend with whom I rescue dogs from Spain. My passion for animals remains an important part of my life.

After joining a local care company as a care assistant, I was promoted to Field Care Supervisor after two years. I remained in this position until the company entered liquidation on November 25, necessitating a transition to a new opportunity. Currently, as the new Field Care Supervisor for the Billingshurst and Horsham areas at Caremark.

I take pride in my strong work ethic, keen attention to detail, and effective problem-solving abilities. I am a good listener, communicate assertively when required, and consistently model high standards by never asking others to do tasks I would not undertake myself.
