Home Instead have delivered a very caring and flexible visiting arrangement which from time to time needed adjusting for my old friend who has no family. They have an excellent team of staff who do make the difference in caring in a friendly but professional manner. The Home Instead middle management are very organised in assessing and recognising the changes in the needs of my friend which was necessary over a period of time, this was very important as not living near to my friend they kept me very up to date on his care and needs. I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead from my first-hand experience in dealing with the Company.
Home Instead has provided care for my mother for several months now. They visit her in her home on three days of the week to provide companionship. The staff are always punctual and friendly and my mother looks forward to seeing them. I find the portal extremely helpful as staff always leave comments and updates that reassure me that all is well. Of particular benefit is the fact that they check on her medication to ensure she has sufficient in store and that she is taking them. They have also collected medication from the pharmacy when needed.
Home Instead have looked after my mum for a couple of years, since a fall and the onset of Alzheimer's. Unfortunately, we have decided the best place for her now is in a care home. Whilst in Home Instead's care, my mum was treated with respect and much care, with her needs being met. If there were any changes or incidents, they were quick to inform me, which was always appreciated. The ladies who work for them are kind, caring people who treated my mum very well. I know it's not an easy job, and they all seemed to enjoy what they do. Highly recommended. I've already recommended them to two family friends.
She politely kept at a distance until Mum made a decision "to try it out" but at all times letting me know she was there to answer any questions should we need it.
We have gone, over the space of several months, from wonderful befriending to more practical tasks around the house, at all times treating Mum with utmost respect. Mum was very reluctant to have strangers in the house, but she warmed very quickly to the caring ladies who were put in place to care for Mum, always making every effort to keep with the same ladies for Mum.
Every effort was made to accommodate the family's needs, and I cannot recommend highly enough.
Mom needed “proper” care overnight and another company were unable to help. I couldn’t believe how hard it was to get quality overnight care. After trying 12 other providers of care in the home, it was getting later in the day on a Friday - and I was getting stressed and upset that I couldn’t find any help for my mother. Thankfully a friend suggested Home Instead and that’s when I met the wonderful kind and helpful person who sorted a team of ladies to start helping in just a couple of days. The ladies who came were amazing and knew exactly what help mom needed. They were also very kind to my dad who has dementia, as it can be a little unnerving for an elderly gentleman when ladies he’s never met before start appearing in the bedroom he shares with his wife! I cannot recommend the team highly enough for their kindness and professionalism at a particularly difficult time for our family. I only hope that they’re all still around when my time comes to be helped!
I have used Home Instead to look after both of my late parents over the last four years (ending 2022). They have provided excellent care during that period and helped the family keep Mum and Dad at home where they felt most comfortable. They developed an excellent relationship with them and we always had regular feedback from the carers which was really useful. I can’t recommend them highly enough or thank them enough for looking after Mum and Dad. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
We've recently had to get extra care for Mum who is 85 and has dementia. Home Instead was recommended in the highest possible terms by a close friend who uses them to care for her mother-in-law and on the basis of this recommendation we went with them as well. I have to say, extremely impressed is an understatement. The carers are really genuine and caring people who Mum now regards as friends. They treat her with respect and dignity and see to her needs in a very caring manner. Unfortunately Mum is getting worse but Home Instead are providing increasing assistance and support and are making a massive difference to her quality of life. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful work they do and are so glad that we found them to help Mum.
My uncle had significant care needs that increased over time as his health deteriorated. All the caregivers who attended to him looked after him with great spirit and kindness. Their help significantly extended the length of time he was able to remain in his own home.
As I reside a considerable distance from my mother, it could be difficult to have a clear overview of her situation; there are inevitably specific problems related to the issue of distance. However, I have always found Home Instead (Stafford) to be understanding of this. They have over 5 years, been communicative, accommodating, and extremely flexible regarding all matters relating to my mother's needs. Lately, in particular, they have exceeded my expectations by ‘going the extra mile’ on numbers of occasions when my mother has required urgent, special attention. Home Instead (Stafford) haven’t just done what they’ve been asked to do, they have used their initiative, made suggestions as to how to deal with various developing matters. They have been very adaptive, not simply sticking to the same routine, but changing the pattern of care as it became necessary. Home Instead (Stafford) have enabled my mother to remain at home for longer than she might otherwise have done, and I shall always be grateful to them for that. Totally trustworthy.
The care package was arranged very quickly after my aunt and uncle were struggling to cope with daily living. A full review of Uncle's care needs was completed and times and dates arranged for the care workers to call and assist with his daily care. Aunty was previously Uncle's main carer but was finding it increasingly difficult. The care workers quickly became welcome visitors and were kind, considerate and very helpful. So a big thank you to you all at Home Instead for your help.
When setting up a care package for my Mum the Home Instead team were extremely helpful and supportive during a very emotive time. They created an individualised care plan adhering exactly to Mum’s specific needs, showing respect, empathy and compassion throughout.
Home Instead Stafford, provided excellent care for my brother who has Parkinson’s. They did everything possible to help him have an independent life; taking him to social clubs, enabling him to go on holiday as well as making sure he was comfortable in his own home. I would highly recommend them.
My whole experience of using Home Instead to provide care for my Father was excellent. The carers cooked a lovely meal each night for my father and spent time talking to him. There were 3 carers in total so he didn't have to get used to a lot of different carers. They didn't wear a uniform so know one knew Dad had carers going in. He is a very private man so he was more comfortable with this. I felt I had alot of support from the service and nothing was too much trouble. I can't thank Home Instead enough.
When the care needed to be transferred, a brokerage service was recommended but was unable to source care.
At this point, I was extremely stressed and decided to take a chance and phone Home Instead.
It turned out to be the best decision. From the initial enquiry, the service received has been excellent.
Home Instead create solutions, not problems and staff have been supportive not only for the cared for by promoting their independence but to me as a working Mum as the communication between Home Instead and I has been key to me being able to attend to my family and work commitments knowing the cared for is being well cared for and supported.
My sister has early-onset dementia and has needed progressively more help with meals, shopping and management of her house. We started with Home Instead for a few hours a week and it finished with 4 visits per day, 7 days per week. During this time, I have been very impressed with the service. The caregivers (as they are stylised) are very understanding and ready to go the extra mile. Mood swings can be difficult to deal with, but they handled this very well and were able to go along with whatever fiction that presents itself.
I have found Home Instead (Stafford) to be reliable, friendly, professional and approachable. Home Instead (Stafford) are always on time and carry out the duties and care required and or needed by the client. Nothing is too much trouble so thank you.
I support a very elderly gentleman, who has no family. Over the last year, his support needs significantly increased and his physical and mental health began to visibly deteriorate. It became very clear in December last year that he could not remain at home without professional care support put in place. His home had fallen into disrepair and he was struggling to look after his own personal care needs too. I called Home Instead (Stafford) and the wonderful area manager met us at the home of the gentleman. She didn't judge but helped us plan a strategy going forward that would support this fiercely independent gentleman to stay in his own home. Her team of carers have transformed life for this gentleman. They treat him with dignity. They are always on time. They balance his practical care needs whilst also tending to his social and emotional needs. They have time to listen to his stories and reminiscences. He refers to them as 'beautiful people' who he has come to trust and rely upon.
We asked Home Instead Senior Care to help my 92-year-old Dad, who was independent living alone but struggled with preparing a meal. They were lovely and came into his home once a day and cooked him a meal of his choice and sat with him and chatted, as he was also very lonely, they talked to him about his family and hobbies and also his past. They walked around the garden with him and sat outside with him on sunny days, he really looked forward to their visits and they even cooked him pancakes with lemon and sugar! Nothing was too much trouble and it was so reassuring for me to know that on days when I wasn’t able to see him he’d had a meal and some company. I would definitely recommend Home Instead they made such a difference to my Dad's life and helped me so much.
I cannot thank Home Instead enough for their professionalism and care. Every member of staff we dealt with from the office to the Carers themselves were brilliant with Dad and great support to my Mother and myself. It’s not like a business but a family who takes a genuine interest in their clients and provides excellent care in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. I have already recommended them to several friends and would not hesitate in going back to them again. The staff are extremely well trained and go about their job with diligence, attention to detail and care even when Dad was having the odd bad day!
The staff provides the support my son needs in a very courteous and professional manner. They and the management are friendly and approachable and have flexible attitudes to how the care is provided. Regular feedback is provided and this is very important to us.

Meet the Team (5)
This Home Instead office has been providing support for many years and I am very proud of everything that we have achieved.
My previous role was at a children’s hospice, where the person-centred care made such a difference in their quality of life. Because of that, I feel very passionate about helping people to keep their independence for as long as possible, wherever they are on life’s journey, making sure that their care matches their wishes at all times.
We couldn’t provide such great care without our brilliant staff either! They are a really dedicated team who always go the extra mile.
I have now worked for Home Instead for well over a decade, starting initially as a carer. I had previously worked with children but thought about a career change and realised that I wanted to help older people. It is very rewarding to build relationships and support our clients to live their lives to the fullest. I have progressed within the company over that time and am now the Care Manager. Every day is different and I really enjoy what I do.
I am passionate about providing the highest quality care that we can. I visit clients at home and it is wonderful when they say what a difference we make to their lives.
Away from work, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my husband and children.
I started my career in the care sector a little over 30 years ago. During that time, I have been employed in a variety of care settings, working with learning disabilities, the elderly and also mental health clients in a secure unit. I have also been a Registered Manager at a residential care home.
I became a carer here in May 2018 and am now the Training and Retention Manager. I came here because I believe that we can make a real difference to people’s lives, and reassure loved ones, best of all the calls are never rushed!
In my free time, I enjoy quizzes, art and football. (It’s Stoke City if you’re wondering!).
I had a job in administration previously and also helped in the office part-time, managing the accounts.
From a very young age, I was used to meeting new people at Mum and Dad’s office when we lived in Spain.
I really enjoy finding out what makes people tick and seeing if they share Home Instead’s values.
I am so pleased to be working in my parent’s family business. Working here is fantastic because providing such a high standard of care is something I can be very proud of. I also love working with Mum; to see her every day is wonderful. My mum and I are both caring people, which definitely comes from my nan, as she used to work in a children’s residential home and with people with learning disabilities. I enjoy working with the team and helping to develop new staff.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my Husband and kids. We go on narrowboat holidays whenever we can.
I originally trained as a Registered General Nurse and worked for a number of years in a general surgery ward.
After a career break to look after my children, I wanted a change from a hospital environment and was looking for a care company that didn’t rush through calls and where I would be able to spend some quality time with the clients.
I have worked here now for many years and have always supported the same clients, which is very rewarding and I’ve been able to build good relationships with them. Since starting to work in the office I have been keeping care plans updated and auditing our paperwork.
I enjoy long walks with my Jack Russell terrier, time with the family and going to the cinema.
