Home Instead have cared for my 93 year old father for the best part of 2024 into 2025. The care that he received was excellent and all the people are professional in their approach in dealing with the elderly and their needs. They went beyond his personal care and assisted daily with his laundry etc. Eventually my father came to a point where he needed to go onto full time care in a care home. A big thank you the office staff and carers.
I used Home Instead for my Aunt who had lost her long term partner to cancer. He was her companion and support network. Home Instead carers were there to support my Aunt in her home and as a companion during lonely times. Communication was excellent. They were very flexible, supporting and trustworthy and I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. I would definitely use them again in the future if the need arises.
The management were also very accommodating of our ever changing needs and never let us down. I would highly recommend.
Home Instead are not the cheapest provider in the market but we chose them for a number of reasons:
- Mom observed them visiting other clients in her apartment block and was impressed with how professional the carers appeared.
- Other residents, who's judgement mom trusted, in the apartment block highly recommended Home Instead.
- I have close family who have worked in senior positions in the care sector that knew of Home Instead and know how to read between the lines of CQC ratings and the like.
I would recommend Home Instead.
Cannot fault the service, dedication and care that the Stone branch give to my father. From office staff through to the carers they are professional and supportive and go out of their way to accommodate urgent needs. Would not hesitate to recommend them.
Home Instead have provided care for my mum over the past few months. She looked forward to all the ladies visiting and they got to know various members of our family too. Five times a week they provided companionship which was invaluable as Mum could not go outside the house without assistance and was therefore very lonely. After each visit, I checked comments on the portal which was really helpful especially when I was on holiday. I have recommended Home Instead to others and would not hesitate to use them again.
They also took Mum to appointments at the hairdressers etc which as I don't live close was a great help.
The management team are without exception excellent, they are communicative, professional, and always on hand to help with questions and offer support.
I cannot recommend this company highly enough.
We worked with Managers to create a daily list of tasks that we adapted as Mum's needs evolved. The carers completed this checklist at every visit and we could see their notes using an app. The carers added useful information to help us out, the doorbell not working or the handle falling off the fridge, for example, as well as notes about the conversations they'd had and how Mum was feeling. I live outside of the UK and knowing that someone was going every day who knew Mum and obviously cared about her was incredibly reassuring.
I cannot say enough about the kindness and efficiency of Home Instead, from Carers to office staff to managers, they worked together seamlessly to make Mum's life better. Thank you all!
After a fall at home Mum needed a little extra help. From the first phone call I made to Home Instead, I felt reassured that they were the right people to help. The advice was so helpful. The ladies who attended Mum were so lovely, she felt very comfortable with them after being quite nervous about having strangers in to help. Although care has stopped as she improved I would not hesitate to use Home Instead again and I would definitely recommend them to anyone else.
My wife was in the later stages of Alzheimer’s and wasn’t always cooperative. Nevertheless, the caring team that came to help my wife were compassionate, and very caring and did their utmost to make her comfortable and happy. The management team kept in touch and was as concerned for my welfare as that of my wife.
Her care package only ended when her total loss of mobility meant she was no longer able to remain at home.
Particularly over her last year at home, Home Instead were able to increase her care package very quickly and was responsive at our many requests.
Communication between the management, care providers and ourselves was excellent.
The care providers often went above and beyond for Mum, as though caring for their own family members.
I absolutely cannot fault any of the staff team and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking a care package for themselves or their loved ones.
When my father-in-law passed away Home Instead was able to provide a companionship call for my mother-in-law 7 days a week within 2 weeks of our initial meeting. Over the 3 years of our association with them, Mum has developed a genuine fondness for ‘her ladies’ who have often gone beyond their remit to support her. Any concerns or additional requests have been addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. When she succumbed to Covid they were able to provide additional support using the people she knew and trusted. Too often we hear of carers who don’t actually care. This is definitely not our experience of Home Instead. We would actively encourage anyone looking for support for an elderly relation to look no further than Home Instead.
Recognising when you may need additional support and then navigating the minefield of care providers is not at all easy. My dad and I selected Home Instead based on the excellent recommendations from our family and friends. We could not have chosen a better care provider. Right from the initial contact, it was clear that Home Instead was different. Their care provision is care in the broadest, deepest sense of the word - not just the practical aspects of care, although these are of course important. But also compassion, dignity, respect and companionship for my dad. We cannot adequately thank Home Instead nor can we recommend their services highly enough.
To all the staff at Home Instead, especially the most caring, loving, thoughtful, and friendly people who visit my wife, on a regular basis. My wife now says she is so happy, everyone is lovely, and she has new friends. She has always been terrified of the thought of Dementia, but all your lovely carers have changed all that, with the care she receives, also all the help for myself. I would have no hesitation in recommending your company to anyone I meet, needing Dementia care. Keep up the good work, you are doing a wonderful job.
Thank you, Home Instead.
I am sure that without their help, she would not have made such a quick and positive recovery from her fall.
My mother is now able to resume her normal activities without extra help, but should that change, I will be calling the manager again, without hesitation.
If you are looking for an excellent care company to deal with, Home Instead should be your first choice. They are, without doubt, wonderful in every measure!
Thank you to all the team at Home Instead.
Home Instead (Stafford, Cheadle & Stone) have been caring for my mother since October ‘21. She recently had a bad fall and was in hospital for one month. On her return home Home Instead ran alongside the NHS carers service and then fully took over providing 4 visits a day. Knowing that the ladies from Home Instead are caring for my mother gives the whole family great peace of mind. All of the carers are kind and respectful as well as knowledgeable. Mum looks forward to their visit and considers them to be friends. The office team is always ready to be helpful and accommodating to our needs. The whole team has played a major role in improving Mum’s health and quality of life. There is no way we could manage without them and I would heartily recommend them to anybody.
In the future, more care will be needed and I feel confident that Home Instead (Stafford, Cheadle & Stone) will able to provide this seamlessly.
All staff are kind, understanding, discreet and non-intrusive. They understand my father's care needs and we regularly review and update with the outstanding care manager and her team. All concerns and queries are addressed quickly and the communication is superb.
My Dad and I made the tricky decision to have some help after losing my Mum, I knew after my first conversation with the manager that we were in safe hands. The help Dad needed evolved, as did his care package always with the absolute support of not just the amazing team of caregivers but the whole Home Instead team. Dad's caregivers were more than that, they were dear friends and so valued by us all as Dad's family for allowing us to still be family and not just carers. I would not hesitate to shout from the rooftops just what a difference having the friendly support Home Instead made to us as a family and would recommend to anyone needing as little as a cuppa and company to a full suite of care. Simply wonderful
Home Instead provided an excellent and professional service for my brother. The carers were thorough and caring, ensuring that my brother was well looked after in his home. The managers held regular reviews and assessments and did their best to ensure that all my brother's changing needs were catered for. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Meet the Team (5)
This Home Instead office has been providing support for many years and I am very proud of everything that we have achieved.
My previous role was at a children’s hospice, where the person-centred care made such a difference in their quality of life. Because of that, I feel very passionate about helping people to keep their independence for as long as possible, wherever they are on life’s journey, making sure that their care matches their wishes at all times.
We couldn’t provide such great care without our brilliant staff either! They are a really dedicated team who always go the extra mile.
I have now worked for Home Instead for well over a decade, starting initially as a carer. I had previously worked with children but thought about a career change and realised that I wanted to help older people. It is very rewarding to build relationships and support our clients to live their lives to the fullest. I have progressed within the company over that time and am now the Care Manager. Every day is different and I really enjoy what I do.
I am passionate about providing the highest quality care that we can. I visit clients at home and it is wonderful when they say what a difference we make to their lives.
Away from work, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my husband and children.
I started my career in the care sector a little over 30 years ago. During that time, I have been employed in a variety of care settings, working with learning disabilities, the elderly and also mental health clients in a secure unit. I have also been a Registered Manager at a residential care home.
I became a carer here in May 2018 and am now the Training and Retention Manager. I came here because I believe that we can make a real difference to people’s lives, and reassure loved ones, best of all the calls are never rushed!
In my free time, I enjoy quizzes, art and football. (It’s Stoke City if you’re wondering!).
I had a job in administration previously and also helped in the office part-time, managing the accounts.
From a very young age, I was used to meeting new people at Mum and Dad’s office when we lived in Spain.
I really enjoy finding out what makes people tick and seeing if they share Home Instead’s values.
I am so pleased to be working in my parent’s family business. Working here is fantastic because providing such a high standard of care is something I can be very proud of. I also love working with Mum; to see her every day is wonderful. My mum and I are both caring people, which definitely comes from my nan, as she used to work in a children’s residential home and with people with learning disabilities. I enjoy working with the team and helping to develop new staff.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my Husband and kids. We go on narrowboat holidays whenever we can.
I originally trained as a Registered General Nurse and worked for a number of years in a general surgery ward.
After a career break to look after my children, I wanted a change from a hospital environment and was looking for a care company that didn’t rush through calls and where I would be able to spend some quality time with the clients.
I have worked here now for many years and have always supported the same clients, which is very rewarding and I’ve been able to build good relationships with them. Since starting to work in the office I have been keeping care plans updated and auditing our paperwork.
I enjoy long walks with my Jack Russell terrier, time with the family and going to the cinema.
