The carers who visited my mother were kind and considerate and very wise in their handling of a fiercely independent 91-year-old lady, providing companionship and assisting with shopping whilst acting in a discreet manner as friends, rather than paid carers. We cannot praise Home Instead enough and would highly recommend them to anyone needing help to be at home.
Can't praise the team highly enough. A very tricky situation as the service user my grandparent who lives a 240 mile round trip away from next of kin. The team are reliable, supportive and responsive and so caring towards grandparent and me. Nothing is too much trouble and communication between the team and myself is excellent. Even in the most trying of situations, everything has been handled wonderfully and my grandparent's dignity maintained.
Mum was well looked after by local carers who made sure she was treated with respect at all times. Mum wanted to stay in her own home and Home Instead certainly helped to ensure she cour remain at home for as long as possible. Mum had complex needs but nothing that Home Instead couldn't deal with until the end when she needed 24-hour care. Thank you to all the lovely carers who helped me to keep my job and my sanity.
Fantastic and friendly support over the past 18 months. Extremely reliable (never a missed visit) and always able to get hold of staff 24/7. Very accommodating to some 'extra requests' which were needed to help my father going the extra mile. Absolutely brilliant carers and service is outstanding. After using various agencies around Home Instead is by far the best by miles.
Home Instead have provided care to my relatives for the last 3/4 years. We feel the carers are part of the family. They are caring, treat my family with dignity and respect.
The carers at Home Instead help to take care of my uncle. They not only do the things he needs, taking him to the shops and hospital appointments but they go above and beyond for him. They discuss his interests with him, think of ideas of places he could go and it's a relief to know that when I am at work or not available he has people to care for him that feel like his friends. Thank you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I have been having Home Instead for years and they never cease to amaze me just how good they are. Right from the top to the bottom. I am only sorry that I cannot do them justice here as I cannot begin to say what a fantastic group of staff they are. My carers are always introduced to me first and before long I don’t think of them as carers but almost like family and even very good friends. No matter what problem comes up I know that they will go to the ends of the earth to help me. I simply could not imagine my life without them and I know that my family are so grateful too and comment what a great team I have looking after me.
I really cannot recommend Home Instead in Stone highly enough. My family and I have cared for both my parents for many years now. Sadly my father passed away in December. My mother suffers from cancer and dementia. I reached a point where I did not know which way to turn to manage the care and my own family. It was then I found Home Instead. They are so professional and extremely helpful. All of the ladies who help my mum are lovely. They go above and beyond the requirements of the job and are so nice to her and to me. They provide a daily log which with this illness is so useful. Always happy to help regarding suggestions re food etc. A huge help in administering medication, again all documented and checked. I would happily recommend this company to anyone, they have been a complete lifeline and I do not know what we would have done without them.
Lovely carers. All treat my mum with respect and allow her to keep her dignity. They were all introduced to my mum correctly before caring for her. Something that was a big plus for me. Mum seems happy with all of her care and even allows her favourite carer to take her out for 2 hours every fortnight. This is a big deal for my mum as she's not comfortable around a lot of people.
I have received this service for a little over 2 years and I am well pleased with the overall care and help. The staff are all really good and are good company.

Meet the Team (5)
This Home Instead office has been providing support for many years and I am very proud of everything that we have achieved.
My previous role was at a children’s hospice, where the person-centred care made such a difference in their quality of life. Because of that, I feel very passionate about helping people to keep their independence for as long as possible, wherever they are on life’s journey, making sure that their care matches their wishes at all times.
We couldn’t provide such great care without our brilliant staff either! They are a really dedicated team who always go the extra mile.
I have now worked for Home Instead for well over a decade, starting initially as a carer. I had previously worked with children but thought about a career change and realised that I wanted to help older people. It is very rewarding to build relationships and support our clients to live their lives to the fullest. I have progressed within the company over that time and am now the Care Manager. Every day is different and I really enjoy what I do.
I am passionate about providing the highest quality care that we can. I visit clients at home and it is wonderful when they say what a difference we make to their lives.
Away from work, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my husband and children.
I started my career in the care sector a little over 30 years ago. During that time, I have been employed in a variety of care settings, working with learning disabilities, the elderly and also mental health clients in a secure unit. I have also been a Registered Manager at a residential care home.
I became a carer here in May 2018 and am now the Training and Retention Manager. I came here because I believe that we can make a real difference to people’s lives, and reassure loved ones, best of all the calls are never rushed!
In my free time, I enjoy quizzes, art and football. (It’s Stoke City if you’re wondering!).
I had a job in administration previously and also helped in the office part-time, managing the accounts.
From a very young age, I was used to meeting new people at Mum and Dad’s office when we lived in Spain.
I really enjoy finding out what makes people tick and seeing if they share Home Instead’s values.
I am so pleased to be working in my parent’s family business. Working here is fantastic because providing such a high standard of care is something I can be very proud of. I also love working with Mum; to see her every day is wonderful. My mum and I are both caring people, which definitely comes from my nan, as she used to work in a children’s residential home and with people with learning disabilities. I enjoy working with the team and helping to develop new staff.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my Husband and kids. We go on narrowboat holidays whenever we can.
I originally trained as a Registered General Nurse and worked for a number of years in a general surgery ward.
After a career break to look after my children, I wanted a change from a hospital environment and was looking for a care company that didn’t rush through calls and where I would be able to spend some quality time with the clients.
I have worked here now for many years and have always supported the same clients, which is very rewarding and I’ve been able to build good relationships with them. Since starting to work in the office I have been keeping care plans updated and auditing our paperwork.
I enjoy long walks with my Jack Russell terrier, time with the family and going to the cinema.
