The Nautilus Welfare Fund enables retired seafarers on the Mariners' Park Estate and the surrounding Merseyside area, to stay at home and be as independent as possible with the help of specialist care staff.

They work with you and your family to tailor a care package to your needs and devise a personal support plan.

You will have an individual care plan which can include a range of services from personal care to practical support.

Visits range from 30 minutes to a few hours at times to suit you.

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3.00 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3.00, 2nd = 0.50, 3rd = 0.50, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.10, 7th = 0.10, 8th = 0.10, 9th = 0.10, 10th = 0.10) ie an Home Care Agency needs 10 Reviews to receive the maximum score of 5 points.

    If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 24 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 48 months. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

    The 4.6 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Nautilus Care is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows:

The whole care team give very good care to mum. Clear communication between the team and myself. The manager is happy to be contacted via phone, email or face to face.
Consistent staff and the rota is shared in advance so mum knows who is coming.

The help that I am given is excellent. It enables me to feel comfortable in my own home. I have lost my husband and sons live in Australia, hence the support that I am given is very very important to me. I feel safe, secure and cared for.

My mum is very happy at Mariner's Park Hub. Ahe gets looked after exceptionally well. I'm autistic so it takes the pressure off me.

Living at some distance away, I can honestly say I don't know what we would have done without the support of the service over many years. The whole team always do their absolute best to offer a responsive, supportive, open, approachable and caring service. Changing circumstances are met with positivity and the will to find a solution.
