They were so helpful in assisting me to negotiate the stairs, shower and dress. As I gained strength and confidence they allowed me to do more for myself. I live alone so this was important. They put washing out and get it in for me and did a lot at first. We went for walks when I was strong enough. They helped me manage to live with limited mobility. They were informative and always cheerful we had some lovely chats.
I find the carers very good with mum.
Always helpful and friendly visits.
Carers come every morning to wash/dress/shave the client. They are always pleasant and extremely helpful. Almost without exception, they do a very good job. My only niggle is if they leave the bathroom untidy and fail to make the bed - this is a rare occurrence thankfully.
I find them all caring, attentive and very cheerful.
All of them are welcome in our house as we look on them as friends, not just someone coming to do a job.
Well done to them all and we miss those who are no longer part of the local team.
Their work was carried out without complaint, enduring appalling weather and battling across a driveway which became a sea of mud.
My heartfelt thanks to them and their organisers for such wonderful care.
Excellent service and very caring.
I am very satisfied with all aspects of the care provider since they first attended my husband on his release from hospital in February. If I have any problems I only have to ring them and their help and advice has always been most acceptable. I am always advised to ring any time and they will do their best to support me in any way.
I would just like to say how much I appreciate all my carers. All are so kind, caring, thoughtful, helpful and considerate. Big thank you to you all.
The carers are all very willing and helpful, they are proactive and find other jobs until I need assistance with washing and dressing. They always ask if anything else is needed.
Altogether a good service.
We find the service excellent and all the carers very helpful and cheerful.
The homecare my mother receives is excellent.
She is now confined to bed after a history of hip replacements (four times), knee replacements (twice) and has had two major strokes. She also now has dementia.
The team of carers visit four times daily (in pairs) and are quite remarkable. Not only do they attend to my wife's physical needs but they chat, laugh and keep her happy.
It is much appreciated.
I find Somerset Care overall very good. The staff are very kind and helpful. I have not had many bad times with them. Only thing I would like to know are approximate timings. I'm having a shower each day as long as I have something to go out in. I know they try very hard to keep a good standard.
Everything went very well.
We have both been very impressed by the friendliness, cheerfulness and professionalism of the carers. We currently have two coming twice a day (in the morning and in the evening) to wash, shave, change pads and change clothes. Whilst the pairings can differ each time, my husband is comfortable with them all, and he seems so relaxed and comfortable once they have been and, of course, clean. The carers have also been helpful in spotting potential bed sores. Their friendliness means that it does not feel as if anyone is intruding into our home - on the contrary, in the couple of weeks since we started to need and use them, they have become a welcome part of our routine.
All of our care workers so far have been helpful, kind and caring. an excellent service.
I have been really pleased with all of our care workers. they have been helpful, kind and caring.
I am tired of my Mother being let down by the inconsistent service from this care agency. She is housebound and 89 years old and over the past year she has been let down by Carers not turning up either on time to prepare her meals or not turning up at all. Last night as an example she was left to fend for herself and called me to say she had a piece of bread and an apple for her evening meal as there were not enough Carers available to come out to her - despite her being a longstanding Client of theirs. This is a regular thing now with this care agency and as I live 1.3/4 hrs away and have a young family, I cannot easily or quickly get down to my Mum to provide her with a hot meal. They say they will provide an outstanding and Caring service but the reality is, it is a poorly run and poorly staffed second rate operation with Staff leaving in droves.
I am very sorry to hear of the issues that your mother has been experiencing with our service. If you would like to contact me directly to discuss the issues raised, you can reach me at the community services office on 01823 447 120, or by emailing me on janet.tolley@somersetcare.co.uk
