St. George’s Home Care is a private homecare company that was set up over 20 years ago and cares for people in their own homes throughout the New Forest.

The team of trained and experienced staff care for older people as well as those who are physically disabled.

They ensure that the people they care for live in a clean, comfortable and safe environment and dignity, respect and sensitivity are at the heart of care.

St George's Home Care offers personal care such as bathing, showering, toileting and dressing as well as meal preparation, cleaning and laundry, shopping, administering medicine, night care, companionship, respite and live-in.

Everyone has a care package that is tailored to their individual needs and these care plans are reviewed regularly. They are also offered priority admission at their nursing home should they require residential care or respite accommodation.

My sister has been with St George’s Home Care Agency, Milford On Sea for some years now.
The service provided is excellent, nothing too much trouble of my family requests. Home care staff go above and beyond their normal hours, set hours, ie. after a few falls and attending hospitals, a carer will
be at her home to settle her in with a welcoming cup of tea.
They make sure she is eating and drinking water and care is taken to ensure her early morning washing and dressing is up to scratch. Above all my sister is happy to have them in her home.

Really good care given. Cheerful and efficient. All the carers do care and work while here. Beds made, washing hung out and put away. One of the ladies gave assistance when I cooked mousaka.

All of us have strengths and weaknesses. This is also true of the carers. All lovely ladies but some are better than others at different tasks. What I need is the consistency of carers. I find it very tiring and annoying having to keep explaining to new carers each time. It must be difficult for them
as well. That said, all have been willing to do whatever I have asked of them, with kindness and courtesy.

Excellent home care service for my mother over the last 6 months. Always on time and polite carers. Easy contact with the office and manager to alter any dates to our home plan. My mother is very happy with all her carers and looks forward to seeing them every morning and some evenings.


All in all,

a very good service and I would recommend St George's to anyone needing care for a loved one.

After a short wait, I was given time for a carer to attend me and dress.
I am impressed with the care since that time (10 months).
There seems to be little concern for times - anything from 9.45.
I have asked that if a carer cannot be provided in the window 8.00 to 9.15 then I will manage my washing
and dressing myself.
I would also appreciate carers to come by 9.00 on Thursdays as I have a regular engagement at 10.00 on Thursdays.

I have been with St George's four and a half years and every carer I have had has been very caring and pleasant, so polite and helpful.
Nothing is too much trouble, very polite, good morning and always with a smile.
As a client, I have never had to complain about anything or anyone. Would never want
to change.

The client values having the same carer regularly as this saves time and effort in explaining what my needs are.
The office staff do their best to accommodate this requirement. Having the same carers enables me to develop a relationship with them.

Over 3 years I have found carers very pleasant and helpful.
I deal with tablets etc myself and normally the carer microwaves my lunch and makes sure I do not need outside help.

You looked after my husband until he went into care with dementia. You did this with great kindness and never made him feel embarrassed. You then took over with me three years ago, making sure I showered safely, my careline was on and medication was taken.
You gave me a welcomed cup of tea in bed
and any problem, you let my son know I was safe. I don't know what I would do without your care. Thank you.

I only use St George's for house cleaning, not care. However, the cleaner usually shows an interest in my well-being and I know makes a note on the record each week. Cleaning is done adequately but not with great thoroughness. The staff are polite and accommodating.

St George's Home Care has consistently provided high quality and reliable 'support visits' to my mother for over four years now. All the carers who have visited have been professional and kind. St George's have also shown themselves able to respond well to changes in need, such as following hospital
admission. Their communication with both myself and my mother has been consistently excellent.

All the staff and carers at St George's are very professional and provide an excellent service. Good time keeping by the carers is very important to us, due to medication times, and this has been maintained in line with the weekly rota, which indicates a good level of planning by the staff.
