St George's Home Care

I have a carer for an hour, 8-9 am, seven days a week, and also for 30 minutes in the evening to be helped to bed. Ideally, that would be later, but I recognise the rota problems and that the long day shift ends at 9 pm. All the many carers I have had have been efficient and pleasant. Obviously, one relates better to some people, but I do not object to anyone. They are well trained by St George's.

Were my husband's carers until January 2023, when my husband went into the hospital with pneumonia and is still in the hospital. The carers were excellent for him and became our friends very quickly, and he loved them. Unfortunately, my husband needs 24-hour care now, so will be transferred to a permanent care home upon discharge from the hospital.

Had no complaints from the beginning to update. Really nice all of them are. They are willing to do things you ask for and it's never been a problem. Being a carer is not always as easy as it looks. Well done to you all.

In my opinion, very underpaid.

Mum's carer has been excellent in her care of my mother and goes above her job to do things for her. She always keeps her dignity, and Mum looks forward to her visits. She gives me peace of mind that she is in great hands.

St George's Home Care has been very diligent and caring when dealing with my mother. If needs be, they call me whilst visiting to inform me of things which need action - low medicines or power cuts. During the recent storms, one even nipped back home to fill flasks with hot water so that Mum could have a hot drink. The staff visit regularly, but also different ones have a day so that chat and faces vary. The regular ones are used to the client's ways and manage to sneak in all she needs when all she wants to do is chat. I'm too far away to be able to just pop round and sort things, but I have peace of mind knowing that St George's are going in daily.

The helpers are cheerful when doing their work. They are amiable and friendly. They are very helpful when they take me out and show a great deal of care and consideration. Where possible, it would be appreciated if items moved when cleaning was put back in their original position as my failing eyesight makes it difficult to find things if they are not in their usual place.

St George's have been supplying care for my mum for around a year... three times a week. The care/support my mum receives has always been excellent. Recently, I had an emergency, which meant I needed immediate daily care/support for my mum. Within one or two emails, it was sorted and in place. I can't fault St George's for the speed they responded to make sure Mum had the support she needed.

St George's have been looking after my step-mum for 6 years. Originally carer's popped in once a day, then when the need arose, that was increased to 2, then 3, then 4. Finally, she needed full time care, which meant going into a Care Home or having a full time carer move in with her. The latter was chosen as the way forward. In the 6 years that St George's have helped look after my step mum, nothing was too much trouble and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for Care and Assistance with a loved one. The staff are very kind, warm and friendly and the service they gave us was superb. Very happy client.

Carers are friendly and good companions. I feel safe leaving my husband with his carer.

I have known this provider for a while as they also provided care for my late mother. They always treat the client very kindly, with respect and take time to converse with them and never hurry them. They are punctual and do their best to give a good level of care.

St George's Home Care is a truly wonderful organisation. Every carer is totally professional and truly care for their clients. My mother was so lucky to have St George's Home Care to look after her and enjoyed their visits, so did I! I shall miss them! My mother, sadly, has moved into residential care.

St George's provide a great service. They are very flexible and are always able to send someone for care visits if the scheduled person is not available for any reason. I would recommend them to others needing home care visits.

St George's Home Care team has been very helpful in modifying and altering their support sessions as needed. Staff are always chatty, polite and make Mum feel at ease. It is easy to reach the manager by phone or email, and any concerns regarding Mum are always fed back to me. This support is invaluable, particularly as I do not live locally. I would not hesitate in recommending their service to others.

We have found the carers friendly, helpful and very reliable and caring.
