Tendacare

An excellent service. They are punctual, caring and consistent. They provide a very attentive and personal service sensitive to my mother's needs. Other words that I could use are cheerful, reliable and much valued.

The care I'm receiving is excellent. The staff are so kind and friendly.

Tendacare cared for my mother-in-law for 5-years with developing Alzheimer's. We were impressed with the way staff and management looked after her with her evolving needs with sensitivity and professionalism. In the early days, we remember cheerful care staff developing good relationships with her, maintaining effective personal care as dementia developed. Visits increased from 2 to 4x a day, we knew she was safe in their hands, staff were well organised, knew what to do, reliable, their good sense of humour did wonders. They alerted us when she was off-colour, and on two occasions, called and briefed ambulance staff and stayed till we arrived. During covid, we were well informed on how she was, how she was eating etc. When she suddenly moved to our home, the agency responded immediately - staff experience and training shone, suddenly doing bed washes, commode transfers, catheters, feeding, all with a smile, a good dose of compassion for mother-in-law, and buckets of reassurance for us.

Tendacare were always pleasant to deal with. We are very grateful and would highly recommend Tendacare.

I felt I didn’t want to ask my husband to do everything I needed all the time. Tendacare filled these needs and are very flexible with the timings I require. The same carer is very important to me when showing which they have provided for a long time! I feel very safe and looked after in their care.

Having Tendacare in place has allowed me to step back and focus on my work without panicking about Dad's care, especially over the pandemic. The staff always follow PPE and infection control guidelines to keep themselves and my family safe. Tendacare is exceptional! Highly recommended!

On the whole, we were very pleased with the service my father received. The staff were very friendly and proficient also very reliable. The other good thing, if possible, they kept to the same carers, which was very good for Dad.

Tendacare were fabulous - they treated my 99-year-old aunt with dignity and humour. She looked forward daily to them coming. Highly recommend.

I have used the services of Tendacare since January 2019 and am very happy with the service provided. Carers, almost without exception, are lovely girls, very polite, kind and helpful. They are also well trained in all aspects of care, giving me excellent personal care in most cases. I am treated with dignity and respect, and my carer carries out according to my requirements. The carers are also cheerful, and we enjoy pleasant conversations, which lifts my spirits as I am wheelchair-bound.

We have been using Tendacare service for our elderly father. They provide an invaluable service administering medication twice daily and helping with any chores. My father can be quite difficult, and the staff have always dealt with him with patients and understanding. On a few occasions, they have gone out of their way to drop in on my father when I've had concerns and couldn't get to visit home. I would not hesitate in recommending Tendacare and have found all the staff including management, to be approachable and helpful.

Tendacare were excellent even from the initial call. They put together a care package within 24 hours and the office staff were extremely helpful and understanding. The care delivered was excellent. Courteous and polite staff. Tendacare was very flexible with times and cancelling changing the packages. Definitely recommended.

My father has used the care agency for the past 5-yeards approximately with increasing help over the past year. The carers we have met over his final week; were amazing. They not only met his physical needs with care and compassion but also, went the extra mile without being asked. Two of his carers showed such caring skills; which went above and beyond, and we are truly grateful they were involved in his care. There were others too - some of the male carers demonstrated a real empathy and passion towards their clients and for their work too.

Tendacare looked after my mother for 15 months. All the staff are well trained, dedicated, reliable, friendly and kind, who treated my mother and her home with great respect. Due to her illness, it was often difficult to give her the care she needed but all the staff had the patience and perseverance to deal with that. The fantastic care given to my mother enabled her to have a dignified last few weeks before she passed away peacefully at home. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Tendacare.

I have no grumbles about any of the carers who come to shower me each morning, and dress me too, and make my bed. They have all been very willing to do anything I ask of them.

I witnessed my father being treated with friendliness, respect and engagement whilst they efficiently attended to whatever tasks were required.

I have had no cause to complain about their service or administration during our time with them.

Above all, their care staff had the right training and experience to look after my father. They made me feel that my dad was in safe hands. A professional and well-managed care organisation.

The carer/staff member allocated to us on a regular basis was good. Things were less stable when she was away. The communication between the staff member/carer and myself as the main carer and care co-ordinator worked well but timing was often a problem - but that is true across the sector, they were no different from the other care agencies we used in that regard. Overall we had a good service.

The service was very good and personal and proved to be a most satisfactory experience.
