The carers work very well and with a smile on their faces but they seem to be in a hurry. Morning call is 15mins, the two calls during the day only 3mins, in the evening about 10mins. I do not know what the correct times should be.

I would like to say thank you to all the people from TLC Rotherham who looked after me when I was recovering from my hip replacement operation, with a special mention to my carer, she is a star and I miss her. I didn't realise she would be stopped so abruptly and regret not having had the chance to say goodbye.

TLC provided a 1 hour care package. They sent a very pleasant lady to relieve me of caring for my wife. The lady kept my wife company so I could go out for a break and do the shopping and not forgetting the showering of my wife.

Carer visits morning and evening to cream my lower legs and feet and apply support knee stockings.

I am not able to do this task myself.

Meet the Team (1)

Sarah Ramsey Job Title: Care Coordinator Barnsley Joined: 2023
Sarah Ramsey

I'm Sarah, a care coordinator covering the Cudworth, Town, Darton, Worsbrough, plus any other areas of Barnsley in between.

I never thought of ever getting into care work until the horrible COVID-19 struck, and I couldn't do my previous job. I felt grounded and needed to get out of the house. I then saw a job for home care and thought I'd give that a go! I fell in love with care so much that I gave up my other job and became a team leader, and then, due to hard work, dedication and transferable skills, I became a care coordinator. I joined Choices due to the positive things I had heard and the career progression that is offered. Since starting, I have never looked back and can't wait to see where this journey will take me.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my beautiful little boy and husband.
