The Home Instead team have been supporting my parents and our family for 9 years and the quality of support, advice and guidance has always been of the highest standard. The level of detail provided and the communication channels are very supportive to my family and me. The individual care, support and friendship provided by the caregivers is excellent and has ensured my life, and that of my family is also supported. The caregivers feel like part of the extended family, such is the wonderful relationship they have with my mother. When my father passed away in 2019, the support for the family was tremendous. I find the immediate feedback from the team on issues such as planning issues or finance related queries, is so important and nothing is too much trouble for the team to deal with. Many thanks to everyone for your support which is invaluable!

Reply from Melissa Critchley, Director at Home Instead (Warrington)

Thank you for the wonderful feedback, we all really feel that our relationship with your Mum, you and the rest of the family is something so precious. It is how our support should work and is a true example of how "to us it is personal". I think it is the partnership, love and concern that we all...

Home Instead started looking after my parents until they were both admitted into care - over the time period they cared for my parents, they were professional, extremely caring and left them both with their dignity.

I would 100% recommend Home Instead -they made my mum and dad's remaining time in their home happy and content. Thank you very much.

Reply from Melissa Critchley, Director at Home Instead (Warrington)

Thank you so much for those very kind words; it means a great deal to us all here at Home Instead. The staff all enjoyed helping your mum and dad; it was a pleasure and a privilege. Thank you again so very much.

Amazing. Lovely staff, who routinely went above and beyond to take care of my parents over the two years plus of looking after them. They took the worst of the worry out of the situation and provided vital company, care and support through the heart of the pandemic and enabled my parents to stay at home for far longer than would have been the case. They were invaluable at a difficult time, and I'm really grateful to them for all the hard work they put in.

My aunt passed away on August 21st 2022. The carers have been involved with her for over five years, visiting four times a day latterly. We simply could not have managed without Home Instead, and to know that someone was visiting for an hour each visit gave us peace of mind! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

Reply from Melissa Critchley, Director at Home Instead (Warrington)

Thank you so much for your response; your aunt was a much-loved and valued customer and friend. Being given the opportunity to help and support her was such a pleasure. She is greatly missed but will always have a very special place in our hearts.

My mother had plenty of falls and she was obviously very ill and needed nursing care. The day before she when into a nursing home her carer found her on the floor and she did not know what had happened.
Six weeks later she was rushed into hospital with a cough and died three days later with a blocked artery in her heart.
Your carers are wonderful, but it is extremely hard to work with giving two weeks' notice when it could be a day out or for a hospital appointment.

I think that the charge for the two weeks' notice is very severe and unreasonable as we also had to pay for six weeks nursing care causing the family some distress.

Reply from Melissa Critchley, Director at Home Instead (Warrington)

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your experience. It is so heartening to hear the positive impact the care professionals have on the lives of clients. Many of our care professionals are paid for the time they spend with clients, the travel time to get their and expenses...

Although our time with Home Instead was cut short by my mother's death, I felt that our carer was more than a carer to my mother. She treated me respectfully, tenderly and with a sense of humour.

Home Instead has made a huge difference to our family over the last three years. With their help, my parents have been able to continue to live in their own home together. The service has always neem professional, efficient and reliable, but above all, genuinely kind and compassionate. Even during the pandemic, we felt well supported as a family and it was a great comfort to know that we could count on them. Home instead has greatly contributed to my parent's good quality of life and we cannot thank them enough for being such an exceptional team.

Reply from Melissa Critchley, Director at Home Instead (Warrington)

Thank you, Anna, that means a great deal to us. Please be assured we will pass your kind comments on to all the team who knew your parents and thank you again.

Home Instead Warrington provided daily personal care for my mother from March 2018 until her death in March 2022, at the age of 99. The care and friendship given by their staff ensured that my mother's final years were comfortable and content and she was always treated with dignity and respect, thus preserving her independence and agency at all times. While physically extremely frail, my mother was totally compos mentis and enjoyed the social interaction with her caregivers. The support given to me at the time of my mother's death (the caregiver was with me at the time I discovered my mother had died during her sleep) was second to none. I would commend this company, particularly for their performance during the Covid-19 pandemic; the company owner committed to an uninterrupted service throughout this difficult period and her promise was kept without exception.

I have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead Warrington's services.

Home Instead were invaluable during the eleven months my sister remained in her own home following discharge from hospital. They not only provide professional care but also friendship and assistance to her whenever required, which was deeply appreciated since all her closest family lived several hours drive away. Nothing was too much trouble from the office staff to the visiting carers. Everyone was always prepared to go the "extra mile" thoughtfully solving problems whilst showing respect for my sister's dignity and compassion for her difficulties. Thank you so much.

Reply from Melissa Critchley, Director at Home Instead (Warrington)

Thank-you Julie, it was a pleasure to be able to support your relative and I know that all the staff really enjoyed their time with her. I really appreciate you taking the time and trouble to write this review. It is so nice that you have mentioned the office team, they can tend to be overlooked...

We used Home Instead (Warrington) for over two years to provide care and assistance to my elderly mother until her dementia progressed to the point where she had to move into residential care. We were happy with the support provided, and particularly with the 60-minute calls, and the continuity of the carers. The office and out-of-hours staff were good at getting in touch when there was something we needed to know and always returned phone calls promptly. We were grateful that the carers tried conscientiously to look after her, even when she became less engaged with them.

Reply from Melissa Critchley, Director at Home Instead (Warrington)

Dear Stephen, thank you so much for the very glowing review. I have heard the staff speak very fondly about your mum and it was a privilege to work alongside yourselves as a family to help her stay in her own home for as long as was reasonably possible. Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us, it is very much appreciated.

Excellent service throughout. We particularly liked the flexibility so more time and support could be provided for Mum as she needed it. Mums carers were great and she quickly regarded them as friends.

We were sorry Mums condition deteriorated so quickly which meant living at home became impossible for her, she still talks about Home Instead carers.

My Dad has advanced dementia and has had Home Instead carers over the last 2-3 years. He has been treated with dignity throughout. They showed him kindness, understanding, and patience. If any issues or problems arose, management and staff showed adaptability and flexibility. I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead Warrington.

Many thanks to you all.

My dad and mum never wanted help in the house but the carers that came to help them were quickly accepted. They were friendly and treated my parents as special people - they did extra things for them and my mum especially liked it when they took time to chat to her (she has Alzheimer's). Home Instead may not be one of the cheapest, but they're certainly one of the best.

Mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2018 and it's been very rapid onset. The care mum received from the regular caregivers has been so good that I believe she was able to live at home for several more months than expected.

She enjoyed their company and we never had a problem with her wanting to accept their help. I have recommended Home Instead to many people - they really are outstanding.
