Our mother received a daily care package from Blue Bird Care at Bromley. This care package lasted for some two years. During this time, we found that the regular carers assigned for our mother were extremely professional in the way they delivered their care. Also, they were very good in their communications to us, updating us on needs and requirements, for our mother, as they developed. Likewise, the care supervisor and manager of the Bromley branch of Blue Bird were diligent and extremely helpful with advice and also helping with administration such as attendance allowance.
Overall, Blue Care at Bromley is recommended!

Overall service is satisfactory. Frequent changes of carer are difficult. I recently had eight different staff in one week and two of whom were new to me.
Timings change vary up to one hour and I would prefer morning visit to be about 10 am and evening around 6 pm.

Dear John, many thanks for bringing these issues to our attention. We’re sorry to learn things have fallen short of your expectations. As we’re visiting twice a day, we allocate a team of carers so there’s usually a familiar face as a back-up if needed. We can see that in May-21 we paid you 59 visits with 10 different carers, but 8 in a single week is more than we’d like. Unfortunately, one of your regular carers recently relocated, so we’ve done our best to plug the gaps while we look for a permanent solution. Re timings, we plan a +/- 15min window on either side of a visit to allow for variable traffic conditions and delays elsewhere, though sometimes this will not be enough. We have you scheduled for 10 am and 6 am every day apart from Thu/Fri when 2 visits are a little later, primarily due to recent changes to carers’ availability, but our Coordinators have received the message and are on the case. We hope you find that the situation improves during the month of June. Please let us know.

Regarding your last comment, I think you're referring to open pass, the family app side of the PASSsystem, our digital Care Plan management platform, which gives approved relatives, friends and advocates access to daily care notes, the weekly roster and the full care plan. This app is a standard feature of our service and is free to use for all customers/family groups, should they wish. Many thanks once again.

We apologise and will be in touch to discuss how we can make your care plan clearer in this regard. We also note that your openPASS access (our mobile app which facilitates online access to the weekly roster, care plan and daily care notes) has not been fully activated. If you would like to complete the process, this will grant trusted friends and relatives full access to see everything that is happening on a daily basis, if this would be helpful in ensuring that the service is meeting your/their expectations. The staff are generally very helpful and caring. The carers are patient and understanding of my difficulties. They mostly arrive punctually - this only doesn't happen because of circumstances beyond their control e.g. traffic problems. The organisation is reliable and professional.

I have been very impressed by the care and support I have recently had form Bluebird. Care was professional and met my needs, which were pretty straightforward. Carers were friendly and punctual and did everything I needed them to do. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again if I needed to.
