Right at Home (Preston & South Ribble) is a trusted, family-owned home care provider supporting clients across Ashton-on-Ribble, Bamber Bridge, Croston, Fulwood, Garstang, Hesketh Bank, Ingol, Kirkham, Leyland, Longton, Lostock Hall, Much Hoole, New Longton, Penwortham, Preston, Tarleton, Walmer Bridge and Walton-le-Dale. The service is nurse-led and overseen by co-owner and Director of Care, a former NHS Head of Nursing & Allied Health Professionals with more than 25 years of clinical and leadership experience.

As a CQC-registered TDDI (Treatment of Disease, Disorder and Injury) provider, Right at Home Preston & South Ribble offers a full range of home care and complex care services. Standard support includes companionship, personal care, medication assistance, respite care, live-in care and end-of-life care. The team also provides advanced nurse-led services such as catheter, PEG, stoma and wound care, IV medication, epilepsy and diabetes management, dementia care, spinal injury and ventilation support, and management of challenging behaviours.

Each care plan is tailored around the individual, ensuring compassionate, person-centred care that upholds dignity, respect and independence.

My husband has had the full benefit of ladies caring for his essential needs by your organisation. Nothing was too much trouble for them to do and at all times dignity and respect was shown to my husband by these lovely ladies.

The care provided by Right at Home over the past few years has been simply amazing. Mum and dad could not have enjoyed living in their own home until now without the quality of care you provided. You always helped us with last minute changes and dealt with events as they unfolded. Right at Home gave
our family massive comfort during some trying times, especially with none of us living in Preston. The dedication, diligence, compassion, patience and professionalism of mum and dad’s carers has been staggering. Your team of carers kept their humour and patience, no matter what was happening. You are all special people. We have sung the praises of Right at Home to Social Services teams in Preston. When we explained the level of care that mum and dad had received, they were absolutely amazed. My mother was cared for with kindness and dignity. All of the carers from Right at Home were very efficient and treated my mother as their friend, attending to her every need until she sadly passed away in hospital.

By far the best we've had caring for my Auntie. Carers punctual well mannered and trained. We had a short-term live-in care package which allowed us a carefree breakaway. You get what you pay for and more. I would not consider anyone else. We will recommend without hesitation to everyone we know.

After an initial enquiry about setting up care for my mum, Right at Home were prompt and thorough in setting up a care plan. This plan has since been extended as my mum's needs have changed and alterations to the plan have been easy to make. The carers who visit my mum have been skilled and supportive.
The record keeping, reports of any concerns and comments from my mum, have shown me that the care has been kind, understanding and consistent.

The young lady who came to visit my mother was very pleasant and caring and my mother appreciated that she was able to help her with minor chores but more importantly gave me peace of mind whilst away on holiday.
My mother is a very independent person and was reluctant to have anyone visiting her
or let the carer do things for her but appreciated the fact that someone was available to talk to and do minor chores.

The last few years have not been easy for my mother or the family as she gradually began to need care and support (she is now 91 years old). Right at Home Preston have provided dedicated and caring support for mum in her own home and our dealings with them have been excellent. The carers arrive in time,
treat mum with sensitivity and dignity and have been very reliable. I would highly recommend them. I would personally like to mention the manager and her main carers.

I approached Right at Home in January 2016 after searching on the internet for a good care agency to look after my dad who needed help, as he wasn't safe to be on his own since finding him collapsed in the garage at the beginning of January. My dad needed help with meals and personal care and the family
could not be there all the time and worried about leaving him on his own. The carers were very good with my dad, his main carer was very experienced and my dad liked her and the family did too. When my dad had a fall she refused to leave him and waited until the family arrived before she left. The carers sat with my dad and played music on his keyboard and sang songs with him and were good company to him.

The team at the Preston office of Right at Home have been an enormous support to my aunt and myself over a period of almost two years. Living some distance from my aunt has meant limited visits and initially this was a cause for concern. Over the months I came to rely on on The Right at Home staff as
they would always step in to support and meet my aunts physical and emotional needs, even providing overnight care at short notice when needed. The sympathetic ear at the end of the phone has been a great comfort to me on several occasions.

Having left a previous provider some two years ago I found Right at Home on the internet and considered that move was a decision well made. Clients are well informed each week on which carer is attending and their work time per hour well spent. At present Right at Home assist with domestic chores in
my ground floor flat and when the time comes for personal care I would have no problem.

I have worked in the NHS since I graduated, initially qualifying as an Allied Health Professional (Dietician). I have had 13 years of Senior Manager experience in the NHS in the Community, Acute Care and Tertiary care. My last role was Head of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals at the Liverpool Women's Hospital, responsible for 450 staff.


I am passionate about Quality and Governance and led an improvement plan in the Theatres service at Liverpool Women that enabled the resumption of the Good rating by the CQC.


My role in Right at Home Preston & South Ribble enables me to bring my skills and experience to the home care sector in the area and to work with our care team to constantly uphold and improve the standard of the person-centred care we provide so that we are the 'go-to' home care provider in the Preston & South Ribble areas.
