Obviously, there are rare blips and also sometimes shortages, as per the national issue and most, but overall good.
We have been using this service for a few months and have been very satisfied with it. The care comprises giving my husband a light lunch, taking care of any needs he has and talking to him when he’s not dozing. He enjoys the variety of nationalities he meets.
From the initial meeting and assessment, Mum and I felt like she would have company and people who genuinely care about each client.
She likes all her carers and has said how kind they are. We can also already tell that she is enjoying some company twice a day and is happier and calmer knowing someone is popping in to make her food, get tablets out, make a cuppa, check the TV etc.
Communication has been spot on, with helpful advice, weekly rotas and information updates via the app (easy to use). Nothing is too much trouble and can be tailored to what you need.
We’re very happy with 1st Homecare’s service and it’s a huge relief to know they are making sure our Mum is ok every day.
Many thanks for your kind words and good to hear that you feel that your Mum is receiving great care.
They are very professional and so friendly and genuine. I would happily recommend them to anyone looking to have that extra support and care for their elderly loved ones. First-class care from 1st Homecare!
Thank you for a lovely review, it is a real joy to look after your mum.
1st Homecare Solutions have been taking care of my sister for almost a year now. She is housebound, partially sighted with very poor mobility and struggles with day-to-day activities. Having always been a proud and independent woman, it was hard for her at first to accept the help she really needed. The staff at 1st Homecare have made it possible for her to remain in her own home where she feels safe and well cared for and she now looks forward to their visits each day. From my part, as her sister living over 100 miles away, I take comfort in knowing that she is being looked after so well by such a professional and hard-working team of people and having met a number of them during my visits to her I am in awe of their dedication and desire to do their best for their clients. Credit also to the office staff who respond to any concerns I may have promptly and efficiently. Nothing has ever been too much trouble for them. I can't thank them enough on behalf of myself and my sister.
Thank you for such a wonderful review, it is a pleasure to look after your sister.
Staff are very friendly. Always ask if anything needs doing above required. Take time to talk to my dad. On occasion I have spoken to the staff in the office or by email, they have been very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you for a lovely review, I am glad you are happy with our service.
When we realised that our dad needed the extra assistance that we could no longer provide, they ensured that the transition into daily care for him was seamless right from the start. It has been a pleasure to deal with them all, nothing is a problem, everyone is incredibly professional yet friendly and they have a real family feel to them as a company which has helped us as a small family move into this next stage of my dad's life. My dad absolutely loves his daily visits in the morning, so much so that we have even started a companionship visit two days a week to cover the days when he is alone the longest.
It has made a huge difference to all our daily lives, we are very grateful in the knowledge that he is being so well cared for and we trust them all implicitly and would have no hesitation in recommending the company to anyone who is toying with the idea of extra assistance, it has been a lifeline for us all.
Thank you for such a wonderful review. It is a please to support your father.
Very happy with the care I am receiving. Carers are very helpful and polite. A pleasure to have them care for me. I'm very lucky and thankful to have them. Thank you all very much for having them.
Thank you for such a lovely review, it is a pleasure supporting you.
Mum really looks forward to and enjoys the visits from her carers. The carers note any requests I have put on the post-it notes. Their visits have made a difference to Mum's outlook on life and she is more positive about her health issues. Recently I used the Live in Carer service, whilst Mum's partner went away for a break. That worked very well and Mum spent a happy week. The carer looked after Mum with sensitivity and her speech was much improved. I recently saw the care 'in action' when I brought Mum home from a GP appointment. The carer was so welcoming, helping Mum into the house, removing her coat and offering her a cup of coffee. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the carers. Thank you.
1st Homecare Solutions, in Leighton Buzzard, are wonderful in helping my mum to stay in her home, as long as possible. The carers are kind, practical and the assessment prior to starting, was thorough and well planned. They listened to our requirements as my mum has Parkinson's and Dementia and needs to be assisted getting out of bed, toileted and washed/dressed. I can truly recommend the great staff here. They are a caring and compassionate team and very reliable.
1st Homecare have provided an excellent service for my mother at her sheltered housing accommodation. Most importantly, my mother feels comfortable around the team, which is very important, also, the service provided, is at a very high standard.
All the carers are so very kind and helpful to my mum. They are very friendly and their caring nature shines through. This month, Mum's visits have had to increase to two carers, four times a day and she looked forward to their visits. She loved hearing about their holidays, families, etc. When Mum was having one carer twice a day, they tried very hard to keep the continuity of sending the same carer, who became used to Mum's ways and likes and dislikes and that was very helpful. Even with four visits a day, one of the carers from each visit would usually come on the next visit, which again provided continuity. The office were always very obliging and never let us down when we had to ask for extra visits, etc. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone, needing care.
They were very helpful when my father was taken into hospital and his circumstances changed and freely gave me good advice. I cannot fault the help they have been to my family and am grateful for their continuing support.
I have care which has been a great help to me.
As I usually have the same carer, I am fortunate to have such a good working relationship. I look forward to her coming each day and we have some interesting chats.
I have found your caring and looking after me absolutely brilliant. I have no complaints whatsoever.
Very pleased.
My mum receives great care and although we have had to lower the number of calls she gets, the care and professionalism are still great. Mum loves having the same lady come and care for her, they have built up a nice rapport. She has also had other carers when her usual one isn't available and they have all been lovely. The only thing I will say is when a carer takes a lot longer to do the caring needed, no different to any other day, then we get charged for that but that wouldn't make me change companies. Mum and I are very happy with the service we receive. I also love the app. Being able to keep track of who's coming, what time and when they have been to see any comments left is a great addition and one of the reasons I swayed towards choosing 1st Homecare Solutions Ltd to care for my mum.
My mother in law continues to receive the highest standards of community care from the conscientious and diligent professionals working for 1st Homecare Solutions. I have no hesitation in recommending this firm to anyone requiring short, or long-term domiciliary care. A special accolade must go to this organisation and their employees, who have continued to work relentlessly throughout the global pandemic. They have stoically maintained care cover in the most challenging of circumstances. The past two years have been particularly difficult on families unable to visit loved ones, throughout long periods of lockdown. We feel very fortunate that, due to the consistent commitment and level of care provided by this agency, Mum suffered none of the isolation difficulties felt by so many. 1st Homecare worked tirelessly meeting their commitment day after day without complaint. They deserve the awards and accolades gifted in recognition of the outstanding quality of care they provide.
Both Mother and I are very pleased with the care Mum has received from all of the carers, since they took over as Mother's carers, in early February. All of the carers are very friendly and take the time to have a conversation with Mum, whilst getting on with the job. Most of our calls are on time, but in the event of something happening, we are always called to advise us of the delay. Mum's health has greatly improved since she has been having carers and it makes my life a lot easier as well.
