We will not be the only people who are faced with a loved one in urgent need of care when all the health services can offer are half promises with indefinite time scales. As good fortune had it on the day that we were faced with that position a leaflet from Caremark dropped through our letter box. Within three hours of making the initial telephone enquiry overnight care was organised as from that same night with the minimum of formalities to go through. Fantastic care and service provided throughout. Many thanks to Caremark.
I have been receiving care for approximately four years and have not had a single complaint. Staff are on time, friendly, hard working and respect me as an individual. I would totally recommend this for anyone who needs help, no matter how great or small your needs.
Thank you for the kind review. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need anything. Kind Regards, Registered Care Manager.
My Mum has been a client for 3 years. She sadly passed away last Thursday. A phone call would have been nice to acknowledge her passing and that you were sorry to hear the sad news, after my Dad had phoned to say she had passed. Guess clients don't actually matter at the end of the day.
A member of the team should have reached out.
I have spoken to the team about this and it will not happen again.
Kind Regards
Russell Tabiner
The care staff are professional and very polite, they are providing excellent support for my wife. I am more than just happy with the Caremark care team and would definitely recommend them...their care factor is 101% and we look forward to their visits.
Thank you for the kind review, it is our absolute pleasure.
Kind regards,
Rus.
If you complain don’t expect a response, you will need to keep chasing them and then don't expect a friendly response, they can be quite abrupt with you, and don't listen to what your complaints are.
I wouldn't recommend this company.
Would it be possible for you to contact me to discuss further on 01482 579579.
I would like to address the issues you have raised.
Kind Regards
Happy to recommend Caremark (East Riding). My mum is happy with the service provided, and she needs the extra support provided. Carers are pleasant, well-trained and mostly on time. Homecare is essential to keep mum at home for as long as possible.
Thank you, the carers love looking after your mother. Anything we can do to help please contact us.
The care staff are excellent and always go above and beyond to support my parents. However, the admin team leaves much to be desired and despite three contact have still not had a response (over a three-week period). Poor customer service!
Kind Regards
Russell Tabiner (Deputy Manager)
Carers are overworked and clients' call times are cut short.
Carers are not properly supported by their managers.
If you complain don’t always expect a response.
No respect for someone on end-of-life care!
Do not use this company.
Condolences to you and your family.
The team are very caring and helpful to us.
Mum is really happy with her care. She looks forward to seeing the carers and has a laugh. She has memory loss from when she had Covid, so her short-term memory has deteriorated. The carers help Mum to shower and dress and have popped to the local shop if she has run out of something. There has been some movement of carers, which is a shame, especially as Mum struggles to remember the names of new people. Having this care allows Mum to stay in her home with her dog, which is the best thing for her.
Thank you for your review, feedback is always appreciated. Kind regards.
Not as good as it used to be.
Many thanks Dorothy for the review, much appreciated.
My carer turns up promptly and regularly. He helps with my correspondence and amenities. On top of this is helps collect my medication and rebooks it for me when necessary. All in all, he helps me a lot and couldn't do without him. First class service.
Caremark have been looking after my dad in his home for a number of years and without their caring approach to him, he would not have been able to live at home on his own. His carer team really looked after him extremely well, and really cared for him. Nothing was too much trouble, and they always had Dad's circumstances at the forefront of their minds when looking after him. Their communication with my sister and me was always excellent, we always knew if there were any issues with Dad. The team always went the extra mile to look after Dad, thank you!
I am very pleased with the carer service which I receive for my mother. It enables her to remain in her own home and to keep some independence and dignity. I often have to change the carer visits and the staff in the office are always helpful and accommodating. The outreach member of staff is also very helpful, it's great that we can communicate via text message on any day of the week. The carers who visit mum are very friendly and pleasant, are always kind and supportive, and put her needs first. It's a very difficult job that they do, and travelling in all weathers must make it more difficult. However, they are regularly on time and always cheerful.
Hello, thank you for your nice review. I will pass this onto the carers who look after your mother. Thank you again. Russell.
All carers who visited gave a high standard of care, maintained privacy and dignity, were caring and compassionate, giving support where needed. The carers were cheerful and friendly, always a welcoming smile. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend this care home.
Many thanks for your review, I am pleased the services are meeting your requirements.
Due to failing health, my father is now in a care home but still talks about his 'lovely carers'. A great testament to the service you provided.
The carers are fabulous, they are caring, attentive and treat me as an individual, with dignity. Nothing is too much trouble and they help me to help myself. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
All the carers are very nice, good and treat my brother with respect and dignity.
2) Having emptied the commode and urine bottles the carers often wash up the crockery and cutlery without changing gloves.
3) On signing up we agreed on an 8:30 am start, rarely achieved - often one hour early or one hour late.
4) Discussed 2 and 3 with management, nothing ever changes.
5) Recruits don't appear to be trained before being sent out to the clients because I often give on job training to the young carers who are clueless.
I find the carers helpful and do a good job.
