Home Instead were always professional and courteous. Staff were generally lovely and very caring. Some were exceptional in the care shown towards mum. We wouldn't hesitate recommending them or using them again should we need care.

Overall Experience
From the initial consultation, through the provision of care and contact with the office, everything provided by Home Instead was excellent.
The care provided to my mum was kind and respectful, and she very much enjoyed having "chats", which was part of the care plan.
I particularly want to thank Arlene and Jennifer, the care professionals my mother saw most frequently. I felt very comfortable leaving her in their care.

I would definitely recommend Home Instead.

Overall Experience

I have been using Home Instead (High Peak) for over 2 years and have always experienced very good service. My wife has altered progressively during this period, with her aphasia being particularly difficult to deal with. In general, the service provided us with one or two carers who have accumulated long term experience with my wife. Their care over the weekly sessions has been excellent, they manage to keep her calm and have made suggestion from their extensive experience on how to manage certain situations. Recently, I had to suspend the care for a while because my wife had an accident and has been in hospital for a while but I hope to be able to set further care in the coming months.

Overall Experience
Regular service/care provided to my elderly Aunt 4 times a week over an 18 month period.
My aunt was treated with care and dignity throughout.

Some staff went above and beyond - special shout out to Linda who was fantastic & deserves extra praise,

Overall Experience

I only used the services of Home Instead for a month after my three week stay in hospital for a broken femur. However, I was pleased with the staff and service they provided.

The service was brilliant that my brother received through the time he needed it. Sadly, his care needs changed to 24/7, and he is now in full time care. I can't recommend the service enough.

All the staff at Home Instead were caring and considerate and treated my mother with care, dignity and respect. Many of the carers went above and beyond to ensure that my mother was happy and all her needs were met. She looked forward to the visits, and I could not fault the care she received.

Carers are not always very good at cleaning, for example, removing bin bag but never washing the bin out and even when asked, somehow manage to avoid ironing.

We have been really grateful for and impressed with the care provided to our 95-year-old dad at home. The whole process of assessment all the way through to an agreed care plan and service agreement was smooth and uncomplicated. The daily care received was all that we hoped for, the carers who treated him with kindness, dignity and concern. Always punctual and extremely hard working, the management team have also been very understanding with his extended stay in hospital and flexible and accommodating of arrangments at short notice. Home Instead cared for my mum for almost 3 years, the carers were always reliable with their timings. Having the rota meant we knew when and who would be visiting. The carers were always thoughtful and sensitive. Communication was always excellent. I would recommend their services to family and friends.

Overall Experience
We needed some extra help for our father whilst he stayed with us for a few months and a member of staff from the High Peak branch arranged it quickly and at short notice.

We couldn’t have been more pleased, both with the service we received when making the arrangements and with the care and attention given during the actual visits. He was seen by a few different carers, all of whom were lovely.

I can't recommend the team at Home Instead more highly enough. Everyone we met was brilliant. The care for my dad was perfect, thoughtful, considerate and they supported his needs brilliantly with respect. Everyone was also so kind to us, the family, as we approached end-of-life. My parents used Home Instead (High Peak) branch from 2020-2023. From start to finish they were extremely good on all fronts - the management and office were approachable, flexible, available and professional. The caregivers were all very caring, gentle, considerate, respectful, resourceful and companionable. They stayed the full amount of time they were scheduled for. I trusted Home Instead with the care of my parents and I am in no doubt that they enriched and prolonged my parents’ lives. They may perhaps be more expensive than other companies but the level of care received was excellent.

Often, when I visit someone or their family to perform a Care Assessment, I am told that they have found themselves “…lying awake at night worrying about who will care for them or their loved one.” At Home Instead High Peak we want to eliminate those niggling late night worries. When I meet you to structure your Care Plan, I listen carefully to what you need, what you want, what you worry about, and how you identify your desire to remain in your own home. My job, my goal, and my challenge, is to make certain that all the uncertainties are cleared up so you can make the right informed choices. It’s important that you never lose sleep over worries about how you are going to live and enjoy day to day routines and pleasures.
