Home Instead (Cambridge)

The carers I have had, both regular and occasional have been punctual, well trained, kind , friendly and are prepared to tackle all tasks - personal, domestic and the occasional light gardening. They are patient, giving me help when needed but time to do things for myself when I can. They are cheerful and give me an outlook into different lifestyles. We are never at a loss for subjects to talk about and I am very grateful for their care and attention. Thanks also to the office staff though I have not always been told of changes.

Have been with Home Instead since 2010. My current caregiver has been with me for 3 years.

The caregiver attended my mother for 15 months and my mother formed a bond with her. In the last months and day she gave mum comfort and happy companionship. The caregiver travelled 40 miles to attend my mothers funeral. Amazing. This also helped us to feel more comfortable when we lost my mum.

Always courteous and professional. The personal care was at a very high standard with the carer noticing anything that needed attention. The carer who supported me with cleaning was always very thorough and very reliable. Thank you Home Instead for your respect, kindness and friendly care and support.

The Home Instead visitors are always willing to do anything asked of them. They arrive punctually which is important to elderly people. Any change is usually notified well in advance and there is cover supplied for sickness.

The carers were friendly and encouraging and were a great help to the person they were caring for (my father) and the carer (my mother). My father enjoyed the visits and the carers were very patient and friendly.

My mum has had care provided by Home Instead for the last six months. Having experience of other agencies I can't begin to tell you how good Home Instead have been. The carers arrive on time. Stay for the allotted time and provide the care expected. In fact they actually make suggestions as to some extra things they can do for me. They have helped in improving the quality of my life by relieving some of the stress of caring for my parents.

On a Monday I have a lady who is very good, Tuesday and Friday a younger lady comes, she does need informing what to do. Different people come on Saturday and Sunday and are of mixed ability. (one hour a day).

A good choice of kind, understanding carers, who's job is very difficult. Office staff very helpful when you need help.

We are very happy with the care provided to my father by Home Instead. Setting up his care package was undertaken very professionally but also with genuine warmth and respect for his wishes. The regular carers were well trained, proactive in her approach to my father's care and was always friendly and helpful.

My aunt appeared to be happy with the care she received. It enabled her to remain in her home during the last few months of her life. This has been her express wish.

The service provided was good, efficient and reliable.

Much appreciated, I am able to stay in my own home. Problem with walking and I need to use a stick all the time. I cannot wash my back with ease. I have a stoma this needs special care and the carer understands the need to prevent infection.
