I am very satisfied with the care given by the girls. They are all very helpful and polite. The service is costly but worth it for peace of mind. I look forward to the carers visiting. I realise that it is difficult in these pandemic times, but I wish the office would let me know of any changes more promptly.

The care provided in the last few weeks of mum's life was exceptional and made us all feel so special and helped mum at a difficult period of her life.

We could hear mum laughing when the carers were attending her and chatting about her long and wonderful life.

To this team, I say thank you with all of my heart. The team were all compassionate, kind, and caring in their entirety. Reliable and trustworthy. They treated my father with dignity and respect in difficult circumstances. My father felt cared for and safe. One member of staff, in particular, went above and beyond in her care for my father, to keep him safe and respond to his sudden change in circumstances. For your dedication and treating my father with humanity, I cannot thank you enough. We wish he was still able to access your team. The social care service has a lot to learn from you; in all respects. Sincerest thanks.

Absolutely first class service. Mum was having the carers from Home Instead come in at the weekend for a few months now and enjoying their companionship. However at Christmas, I was diagnosed with Coronavirus, then my mum, and her next-door neighbour. This meant mum could no longer go to the day centre she attends during the week and everyone close who could help was forced to self isolate. After contacting Home Instead to help and set up daily care at short notice, it didn’t matter that mum has the virus. This was changed a couple of times by me to give more care and again helped very quickly over a holiday period I didn’t see any service slip at all. Thank you for showing me what great care is and anyone that wants their relatives looked after in their own property, it would be foolish to look anywhere else. Thank you for all your help ongoing and at short notice, this is what great service truly is. And my mother loves your carers too. Thank you again all.

Being a 24/7 main carer for the last two years has been challenging. Since February we have had carers from Home Instead which have made my life so much better. Our main carer who comes makes us laugh and will often reminds me I’ve forgotten to do something! She is professional, as are the other carers. All the staff, which we have had contact with, have always been kind and helpful.

We are very grateful to Home Instead and feel that the carers have now become part of our family especially during these challenging times. Thank you to all of you.

Ever Since Home Instead has taken on the care of my husband, they have treated us with respect. The staff are friendly and kind.
Carers turn up with a smile and are willing to help with anything that's needed at that time.

One or two very minor issues were settled very quickly and professionally, and they always take the care of their clients seriously, in a friendly, caring manner. We've had a few laughs with the carers at times which has been good for us as sometimes just having a chat and a laugh is what I have needed.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead. From my experience the support they have given to my 86-year-old mother who has dementia has been excellent, the carers are very supportive in a friendly but not too intrusive fashion which in my opinion aids a relaxed experience between carer and client. They can be relied upon for punctuality, there is clear advance information of the forthcoming visits plus each visit is documented in a comprehensive detailed Care Plan to provide clarity, any serious problems are immediately relayed back to next of kin which provides peace of mind. In my opinion, the most important thing I have found is that the carers provide a quality service who will go the "extra mile" to ensure the client is safe and well looked after.

My mother had received care visits from Home Instead Caregivers for about 2 years and we have always been extremely happy with the level of care and attention she has received. All Caregivers are friendly, supportive and approachable whilst maintaining excellent standards and are always efficient and professional. We have been particularly impressed with the care received during the Coronavirus lockdown when the whole care industry was operating under considerable pressure. Caregivers continued to visit punctually and were resolutely attentive and reassuring under very difficult circumstances. We cannot thank you enough for making sure Mum was safe and secure at a very difficult time.

The carers who call on my friend have been giving over and above what is expected of them. We cannot recommend them enough. My friend depends on the Home Instead staff for her personal care which is provided with her dignity intact.
My friend is in the final stages of life and the staff have been very supportive to myself and husband, something we did not expect.

A big thank you to the Newport, Shropshire team.

My husband Alzheimers condition is changing more rapidly now. This organisation is proving to be flexible in adjusting its support. Up to now, the main advantage has been the provision of a regular carer that has got to know my husband. Timekeeping is excellent.

All the staff are to be commended for the way they treat their clients. It is like a family member coming into the home, nothing is too much for them to deal with. The client looks forward to seeing them each day and has built up new friendships, especially important as she is not able to get out of her home as much as she used to.

Very satisfactory - your standards of caring and professionalism are very high. From the very first, your caregivers instilled confidence they dealt with my 85-year-old wife's dementia with skill and sensitivity even when she was at her most difficult and aggressive.
All the staff at the Newport office were invariably friendly and helpful.

At the time of great difficulty for my wife and I, we were most grateful for Home Instead's ongoing support.

Meet the Team (15)

Jason Job Title: Director / Owner Joined: 2010

As a young, newly married father of one, I needed a reliable, flexible job that I could work around my childcare commitments and literally stumbled into the world of care. My first role was as a support worker, helping young adults with Learning Difficulties.

It was a tough role, as I had never done anything like this before, particularly supporting someone who has complex needs; however, I was hooked by the fact that I was helping them enjoy life, in my own small way.

That was over twenty years ago, and in that time, my career progressed. I have worked in residential, mental health, elderly and home care and have honestly seen the good, the bad and the ugly of the care industry. My final role was as Operations Director with a large national organisation. However, I felt that something was missing, and I realised that I hankered after the hands-on, close, personal touch of working directly with clients, seeing the immediate impact that my actions could have on a person's quality of life.

Finding Home Instead Senior Care was like finding a needle in a haystack. Our approach to caring for someone in their own home is so refreshingly different, where people's wishes and desires are at the heart of their care and where we genuinely support clients as if they were our own family, is fantastic.

We are not the largest provider in the area by any means, and quite frankly I don't want us to be, as being able to keep our service personal, and special for each individual client, and providing a rewarding fulfilling job for each of our team members, enables us to maintain our high quality standards and be the best provider in our area, and that is much more important to me.

Welcome to our family, Home Instead Senior Care Telford, Newport, Market Drayton & Bridgnorth.

Jenny's Journey to Home Instead Senior Care

Having worked for many years in marketing and sales for a number of businesses, from large organisations such as Kellogg’s and Nestle to a small local school, I always felt that something was missing. After having my children, I realised that we can make such a big difference to people's lives, often by making small, simple gestures, such as a smile or an act of kindness, that I wanted to do something that genuinely made a lasting difference. While trying to figure out what I wanted to do, Jason introduced me to Home Instead Senior Care, and I have not looked back since.

I am so proud of the fact that we make a difference each and every day, not only to our clients but also to their families, friends and neighbours. It is a real privilege for us to be invited into someone's home, to help care and support them, sometimes during very stressful periods of time, and to make their lives better, in whatever small way that we can.

Our Care Professionals are the most amazing group of people, who constantly surprise me with their ability to put others first, often before their own families and other commitments.

We both love what we do, and if you would like to find out more about how our family, Home Instead Senior Care Telford, Newport, Market Drayton & Bridgnorth, can make your life better, just give us a call.

Since starting as a carer in 2010 for a community care company, my passion for care has grown immensely. I have worked in all areas of the care sector, including community care, independent living, and a care home. I have worked my way through most roles, including supervisor, assistant manager and then manager. I am a very driven person who strives to do the best I can for the clients we care for.

I am very excited about my role here at home instead and feel very proud to work for a company that truly cares and has a great passion for what they do.

Having worked many years in managerial roles, I had the opportunity to change into care, something I have wanted to do for a very long time. I have had 3 years of experience now in the care sector, residential, then when the pandemic came along, I could see the struggles and felt I could help most within the community, and I have never looked back. In my most recent role, my focus was scheduling and supporting out in the field; therefore, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience to bring to the Home Instead table.

I have a very cheery disposition, which you will soon hear when I answer the phone. When not at work, I enjoy family time, which is very important to me.

What drew me to Home Instead was the ethos of ‘companionship’ and ‘To us it’s personal. I look forward to working with the Home Instead family and our lovely clients as we continue to grow.

I joined Home Instead for the values they hold. This means seeing people as individuals, listening, guiding, enabling, supporting, helping, and caring.

Martyn Job Title: Training and Development Lead Joined: 2022

I have been involved in delivering care training over the past 20 years, and I am excited to be involved in the training, development and support of care professionals and their learning journeys, as well as my own.

In the past, I owned my own care company, supporting clients with learning disabilities, autism and clients with brain injuries.

After a short sabbatical, I didn’t want to return to having the responsibility of running a business but wanted to return to delivering training, where my passion lies. I sought to find a company and like-minded people for whom I would be working who shared the same values and ethos that matched my own for supporting clients and the staff who cared for them.

Home Instead is just what I have been looking for, as we work together as a team to help provide quality service and give support and confidence to those who choose to join us as care professionals.

After finishing my A-Levels in psychology, law and history in 2015, I knew that I wasn’t yet ready for university. So while my friends were busy cramming all of their things into suitcases, I decided to apply for an apprenticeship here at Home Instead.

This way, I could gain experience in a working environment and also a qualification in Business Administration at the same time. Having been here since 2015, I have progressed to the role of HR and Compliance Administrator, and I can definitely say that the decision to join the company was the right one, as I have been able to develop existing abilities and learn new skills necessary to succeed in the world of work.

I joined Home Instead as I wanted to work for a home care provider that has an excellent reputation in delivering high-quality, person-centred support to their clients, and provided a supportive and nurturing environment to their Care Professionals.

My care journey began when I was 12, watching my mom take care of my grandad and me, helping the elderly neighbour next door. I started my 1st job in a care home when I was 18, where it honestly didn’t feel like work whatsoever, as I enjoyed being there, and it is here where my passion for care grew. To know I could make a small difference in people's lives to help them live safer, happier and give them a purpose was what I worked for.

During my career path, I switched to domiciliary care and quickly became a senior caregiver and senior team leader, working towards and achieving my QCF levels 2 & 3 and dementia care qualifications. I had a few breaks for my growing family, but always returned to care. When I moved to Telford, I was happy to see a Home Instead office, as I have previously worked for a Home Instead franchise and am familiar with their standards, ethos and values, which I also carry. I have a passion for care and a drive to learn, and I'm looking forward to growing at Home Instead.

I joined Home Instead because its values align closely with my own. From the very beginning, it was clear that this is a company that genuinely cares—not just about the work they do, but about the people they support and the staff who deliver that care. I was drawn to the organisation’s commitment to treating every client with dignity, respect, and compassion, and to creating an environment where Care Professionals are supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Working here allows me to be part of a team that makes a real difference in people’s lives every day, and knowing that the organisation lives its values in every interaction makes me proud to contribute my skills and passion to their mission
