I had heard of Home Instead from some dear friends of mine. So, as I broke my wrist and realised my need for help, I made contact. I cannot fault the attention to detail by the organisers who provided me with the four main carers for two weeks. It says names shouldn't be mentioned, but I do hope they get some positive feedback. An excellent team of ladies. My recovery was speedy, better than hoped, and my need for care no longer. I would certainly recommend Home Instead to anyone.

the agency have never ever let me down, for visits or with changing rotas or staff, over the last 8 months ish since I've been using them. the office and all staff have always provided great carers who go above and beyond expectations. the carers always ask me first what i want them to for, not ticking off tasks as other agencies have done. the are consistent and send me timesheets and are always smiling and cheerful, every carer i have is the same. they make me feel valued on every visit and are genuine. all staff cannot be more helpful whether in the office or at my home. new staff and old are the same.

The girls were very friednly and helpful. They all made me feel very relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble for them. This included giving me my meds, cooking breakfast, making the bed, washing up and all the time having a conversation with me. I was very comfortable with all the carers who came. My wife and daughter were able to go away for the weekend knowing that I was safe and in good hands. They didn't worry because they had complete faith in the company, Home Instead and the staff. We will definitely use them again.

Carers will voluntarily do all household tasks required.

I like my carers coming because they look after me and are good company. They do everything I ask them to do. They make my food and look after my house. Sometimes they go for a walk with me when I am worried about anything.

2023 has been a year of ill health for me. I spent weeks in hospital. I can only manage to live independently with assistance from ' Home Instead'. A lovely lady takes me shopping on Fridays and twice a week I have assistance with cleaning. Both management and the ladies who provide each service are kind, caring and professional and have become valued friends whom I have welcomed into my home. My shopping lady provides me with a wheelchair and assists in packing my shopping away in the store and putting it away on our return home. The lady helping with any cleaning changed my bed linen and cleaned inside windows frames and sills. Both ladies have washed my dishes and the cleaning lady has done many other tasks too.

Home Instead have been visiting my father for over 12 months and I can confidently endorse the great care they provide. The caregivers have got to know him very well, recognising how his needs are changing and quickly detecting any slight change in his demeanour or how he presents himself. This is all done in a very caring, efficient, and professional manner and I feel assured knowing that in my absence, Dad is being well looked after.

I'm so grateful to have you caring for my dad. You are all so good, careful, respectful and kind with him. Everything I ask of you is done immediately and professionally. I especially love that I have such a good relationship with all the carers and the managers that I am confident in letting you care for Dad. You call me if there's any problem. I call you and you sort out issues immediately. You have adapted every step of the way as Dad deteriorates into Lewy Bodies Dementia altering and extending care immediately, as required. My carer is excellent and has a lot of common sense. She can turn her hand to a wide range of jobs from helping me organise my art and craft work to helping me sort out my plants and pots in my garden. She is always very positive and cheerful, nothing phases her, therefore I always look forward to her visits. We got on very well, she is more like a good friend. Have very little mobility and use a wheelchair to get around the house. I feel that she understands my needs very well. The office staff are also very helpful when I have had occasion to speak with them.

Appointments can be chased easily if required - even at short notice and the office will contact us to rearrange or substitute carera during holidays or illness. Our long-standing carer is now more like a family friend than an employee and adds to our life greatly.
