He loves most of the carers that come to see him. They are very supportive of him and his needs. The things that could be improved are the time changes and the communication of these. The schedules could be sent on time, but overall, he has a good experience with Bluebird Care!
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your comments regarding communication, and this is something we have fed back to the team. We're glad to hear that the overall experience is good!
Overall, we have had many packages of care fail due to agencies not willing to commit. Bluebird Care Solihull are the opposite of this. Since my wife's package of care started they have been thorough, outgoing, outstanding, professional, courteous, friendly and everything I haven't mentioned. It speaks for itself and I cannot thank them enough for what they have done so far for my wife and what is yet to come. Not only do they support my wife who has a rare brain disorder but they are by my side 24/7 if I need that friendly chat. The carers are all consistent and show pride in their work and nothing is too much. A lot of agencies run a mile when they hear my wife's rare brain disorder but Bluebird Care Solihull took it all on board and it never phased them at all. So thanks guys your doing an awesome job supporting my wife and being there for me as well.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Paul. We are very grateful for your feedback and are so pleased to hear what a positive impact the care is having on you both!
I liked the weekly rota as I knew exactly who would be here at what time. The 6 am calls were a bit early but there were not too many of those. If I even need care in the future I would choose Bluebird.
We are just starting with carers. Excellent discussion re our needs to start cate for an adult male with Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia. A check was made over the whole house and suggestions re, care. This was followed up by Bluebird coming (and the original supervisor who did the original discussion), which meant he was familiar with the "carer" arriving and showering him. This has been followed by carers (just 2), so he has got used to them.
We chose Bluebird Care for Mum when she became too frail to look after herself but refused to move to a care home. They cared for Mum for 6 months until she passed away in her own home. They were completely reliable, there was never a time they did not go and always at the scheduled time. The care workers themselves were really caring and committed even when Mum was difficult and awkward as people can be sometimes. There was good communication at all times, I was always kept informed and advised of anything we could do as a family for Mum. I can honestly recommend this company.
Thank you for your kind words about our service. We do try to recruit excellent people by paying them the living wage (we are an accredited living wage company) and therefore we are able to choose people who react professionally in all situations. The other factor that you mention is communication...
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Many thanks for your kind review. It has been a pleasure to provide care to you and your wife for nearly 7 years now. Your appreciation of our service is a testament that we try to retain a consistently high standard of care, year on year.
The Bluebird carers are always pleasant and efficient, so I look forward to their visits. They are well trained and supervised, and the care plan has been written with input from me. All the little tasks that make life comfortable are well performed, but I know I can count on them in an emergency. Recently my stairlift broke down with me on it, but the carer did everything calmly to keep me safe.
Dear I S, Thank you very much for your kind and informed comments. I know that we have looked after your welfare for many years now, so I know that you speak from great experience of our care staff and our quality approach to care delivery. Thank you once again.
Polite girls and friendly.
Thank you for your review J S. I am very pleased that you have reported on the nature and attitude of our care staff. We go through a very rigorous recruitment process, where personality and attitude to caring are a very high priority for us. Thank you once again.
Timekeeping is excellent, and carer is very helpful.
Thank you for your generous comments. 2 key quality areas of ours are punctuality and continuity of care staff. I am grateful that you have raised these 2 areas as a positive attribute for Bluebird Care Solihull.
I rate Bluebird Care because the staff, carers and office staff are helpful and the cares always on time, which means a lot to me, and most other people, I am sure. I have had Bluebird Care for four year,s and have never had the reason to complain and there has to be a bit of give-and-take on both sides.
Bluebird has now cared for my elderly mother (who has severe sight impairment and memory loss) for 10 and a half months months and we have been very happy with the service provided. We are always kept informed of any problems experienced by my mother and of any last minute changes to the times or the staff visiting. All the staff have been very caring and have worked hard to keep her functioning in her own home by providing a cooked breakfast and evening sandwiches and doing the house cleaning and laundry. My mother's wishes are always taken into consideration and she is treated with respect and dignity.
Excellent.
Many thanks for your support of our service. We do always strive to provide the best quality care and customer service.
We have always found Bluebird very accommodating, especially as Dad's care needs have gradually increased. Office staff particularly listen and act as soon as possible to any requests. Although we do not meet many of Dad's carers direct, when we have they have always been caring and respectful, most do a very good job.
Many thanks for your kind comments. I am pleased that you mentioned the listening aspect of our service as we view two-way communication as the oil that lubricates the care delivery. We train our carers to feed in any information that may help our customers and we have very high response time standards.
My father has received care from Bluebird for almost five years. Previously, he received short term care from another care provider, which was most unsatisfactory. We were, therefore, delighted when we changed to Bluebird and Dad's care improved dramatically. Dad has Dementia but Staff treat him with dignity. They do not rush their visits and they have time to talk with Dad. He enjoys the chats with them. The carers are professional, efficient and very reliable. The team in the office are extremely helpful. We are always kept informed of any changes. As Dad's dementia has advanced we have come to rely more and more on the Bluebird Carers. In fact, without them, Dad would not have been able to live at home independently. Bluebird Care may be slightly more expensive than some agencies but the care is well worth it. I would definitely recommend Bluebird Care Solihull to anyone wishing their loved one to receive outstanding care.
Thank you for your kind comments. We do train our staff to engage positively with our customers as we believe that their psychological welfare is as important as their physical. We believe that most people can live independently at home for as long as possible, even with dementia, if they have professional and reliable home care.
Bluebird Care (Solihull) looked after my mother for the last five years of her life when she was suffering from dementia. There are special challenges in looking after dementia sufferers, and a great deal of patience and understanding is required. The Bluebird carers managed to rise to this challenge and provide Mum with a high-level of personal care, developing an understanding of her needs and an ability to keep her calm and content, with an appropriate level of support and reassurance. I know that Mum especially appreciated the social interaction that her carers facilitated by taking her out shopping, to the hairdressers and to church events. The Bluebird office was also always very helpful, being flexible in responding to our needs which sometimes changed at short notice. They always did their utmost to support us, and we are very grateful for their support over the years.
Many thanks for your comments, Adrian. As you know, Dementia is a specialist area of ours and our care staff are given 3 levels of training in their career with Bluebird care (Solihull). Couple this training with the enormous amount of care experience in our care team and that is the reason we can improve the quality of life of our customers who suffer from Dementia.
Very good service. Easy online payment system. Dedicated staff. My aunt enjoyed the visits as the staff were friendly and very helpful.
Many thanks for your excellent review Lynn. The comment about dedicated and friendly staff is apt, as we try to recruit people based on their attitude to people and to caring. Our staff always score 100% in customer surveys.
All the Bluebird girls are very kind, caring and helpful and I can recommend them to anyone.
I feel a peace of mind and reassurance knowing the team are looking after my grandmother in my absence throughout the weekly two daily visits.
I know that my grandmother is perfectly happy with the service she receives and she knows you have her best interest at heart.
Overall a consistent and professional business with its clients at the focus of all it does.
Dad has been receiving care on and off from Bluebird Care (Solihull) for about two years. In that time I have never felt the need to complain about anything. The carers have been wonderful to dad treating him with the utmost respect and with dignity. The office staff are very easy to talk to and do exactly what they are asked to do.
Your carers noticed my father needed a nurse to come and see him. They let the officer know this and let me know. They then called out a district nurse to come out and see dad. What they did was above and beyond their duties and I will always be thankful to them. Excellent service.
