Due to limited mobility, helped with washing, shaving, food preparation, newspaper etc.
The Home Instead team have provided regular care for me for over four years now. The carers are carefully chosen to suit the clients as far as possible and they are introduced to the family before starting. The carers and the Home Instead team become part of the family. The care provided is wide ranging and, apart from preparing meals and helping with daily chores, their company is the most valuable aspect of their role. It is lovely to see a friendly face and to chat about life. We like the fact that the carers do not wear a uniform, so attention is not drawn to the vulnerability of the clients. We loved the family feeling we experienced at the fabulous afternoon tea last year for all clients, carers and families to attend.
I have had a few weeks in care homes and my experience of living with Home Instead Senior Care (Watford) carers compares very favourably. It gives me a feeling of independence together with strong support when I need it.
This is the first time I have met the carers of this care provided and I must admit I am very impressed. My sister seems more relaxed and happier than I have seen her in the past three years. The carers are happy and most willing to give all the help they can sometimes when circumstances are difficult. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care company.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are delighted that we were able to put the care package in place for your sister and understand her needs so that she is happier and more relaxed.
They have been responsive and very patient with our family in order to ensure we get the carers best suited to our requirements.
The carers themselves are absolutely lovely and do whatever is asked of them.
There is one carer in particular who consistently gives over and beyond what is expected and is an absolute joy to have in our home.
Everyone I have been in contact with at Home Instead has been great and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of care.
Thank you for making this so easy for us.
Her carer understands her brief well and makes sure my mother in law has a meal, companionship and that all is well on leaving.
The carer shows initiative and willingness and gives us peace of mind.
We are very grateful for her help and kindness.
My mother in law has dementia but the carer has managed to make her accepting of help and there is a good routine. We are thankful for Home Instead's help.
My main carer is very good indeed. I came from another agency to be with her. The carers provided when she is off are usually pretty good, some better than others. Apart from the increase in hourly charges, things are good, but the fees now are really too high.
Mum loves her carers, they are friendly and really take their time with her. She is deaf and had Dementia, but does seem to remember the visits, if not the carers name. She always tells me what a nice time she has had and what a lovely lady.
I Cannot thank them enough for making me relaxed with someone else helping me look after my mum. Thank you.
We have found Home Instead to be very considerate and attentive in their care and professional in their management and administration. They have been very responsive to our changing needs.
The carers have also been proactive in addressing problems with continence and have helped the family adapt the care regime to suit.
I have been a client of Home Instead Senior Care (Watford) for over 3 years and have always found the service excellent, empathetic, sympathetic and sensitive. I have appreciated the continuing enabling and support with the carers who have all been exceptionally kind and efficient.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this agency to other people.
The agency have provided regular, reliable and appropriate companions to spend time with my mother.
Since November 2015, when my mother started her care with Home Instead, we have been very satisfied with the level of help. Her carers have been splendid and we would be keen to recommend Home Instead to friends if they needed similar care.
They match the caregiver to client well. My caregiver is always on time. Home Instead always provide cover when my main carers are not available. They do regular reviews. The office is good if I have a query.
Thank you for your review - we are delighted with your feedback.
From the first phone call, my mind was put at rest. They understood my requirements and the appointment was made for an assessment to match my mother with a carer. My first meeting allayed all my fears. This company provided continuity of care with carers who empathised with their clients. My mother had a rota of 3 carers who interact with her and also help with light housework. The improvement in my mother is wonderful to see. She loves the carers who attend her and has a laugh and a joke with them. I would recommend Home Instead to anybody.
Thank you for your positive feedback Christine. Your mum is a delight. We especially enjoyed it when she came into the office to visit us here. We had lots of laughs with her.
My mother has been receiving care from Home Instead for 2/3 years now. The care has been excellent and if rarely, my mother has not liked a carer, they have been replaced with no bother whatsoever. The carers are kind, helpful and a great comfort to my mother.
They look after her completely, putting her to bed, getting her up, cleaning the house, cooking her meals, giving her pills and ordering them for her. I cannot fault this company, they go above and beyond their care and duty. I couldn't contemplate using another company because this one is a hard act to follow.
Thank you for your review, Suzanne. We are delighted that you are happy with the quality of care you receive. We always try to go above and beyond and it's fantastic to receive this positive feedback.
The care of my husband's Parkinson's has made life much easier for both my husband and myself. My husband is washed, dressed and shaved and helped to move from the bedroom with his zimmer frame to the bathroom and then to an armchair in the lounge. The routine is repeated in reverse in the evenings. His hospital bed is adjusted in height to make it easier for him to move. The carers of various ages are helpful and kind.
We are delighted with this review. Our CAREGivers always say what a pleasure it is to visit you and we are glad to hear that our staff are helpful and kind. Thank you :)
Throughout the time Home Instead and carers have looked after my father, we have experienced nothing but consistency of care, compassionate understanding of father's needs, recognition of his deteriorating capacity and adjustment of service appropriate to his condition, and unwavering support. On both an emotional and a practical level. I genuinely have no idea how I could have managed dad at home without their assistance in many ways. Dad's carers became the family we do not have.
Home Instead are a very well run business employing caring support staff and care givers. Every effort was made to make mum comfortable at all times. Not all care givers could cope with my mum's dementia. I'm sure Home Instead will provide ongoing training to office staff and care givers in the future following lessons learnt with my mum.
Our client's dementia was initially quite challenging for our Caregivers, but we spent time with the client's family discussing different strategies to help care for the client more effectively and used our in-house dementia expert to assess and provide further tailored training to the Caregivers...
