All the staff are very kind to my husband, he seems to like everyone. We are so glad we decided to have them, it has made my life so much easier in the mornings.

My mum has two visits each day to support her with administering medicine and keeping an eye as she deals with dementia. The staff are always very cheerful, professional and keen to help and we are both very appreciative of the care they offer. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

The Belong At Home team supported our dad for two years before he went into the Belong Home and since then, our mum at home for the past two years. The caring team are excellent with mum in every aspect of what she needs. The senior team are very responsive and really understand Mum's needs and situation.

We have requested to change the timing of mums visit but there is still no visibility of this after several months of waiting - this is not a criticism of the Belong At Home Crewe Team at all - There appears to be a shortage of staff to enable ours and other peoples requests for visits at peak times which I would request the Management Team who assess the resourcing of the Crewe Team need to address.

The Belong at Home team has provided my mum with excellent care over the last couple of years. Evermore so when Mum was discharged from hospital 5-months ago. They ensured the correct care package was in place, and continually review and communicate any changes they feel necessary. Mum is treated with
compassion, dignity and respect. They provide our family with peace of mind too, as we know, she is in excellent hands.

We were very pleased at how my husband responded to the 3 companions provided for him by Belong at Home. He settled well into the experience days but when they finished for the time being, this was a very happy continuation for him.

We initially booked Belong at Home Crewe for 3 times a day for one week to support my husband and while I had surgery and for us both when I returned home from hospital. This was all 'turned upside down' when my husband fell and it was obvious I'd underestimated the care I would need. The Belong at
Home team pulled out all the stops and went over and above the normal to put a new care package in place, in circumstances they'd not come across before, and we can't thank them enough, they were fab!

Hugely supportive and caring from the very first day when the ladies came to my parent-in-law's home to do an assessment re bathing my Mother in Law who has severe Alzheimer's and is doubly incontinent. The carer loved my Mother in Law and became an immediate friend to my Father in Law and myself and
my husband, who help care for them. We stopped service during lockdown but the carer has kept in touch with us just to keep a friendly eye on us all, especially as we lost Dad in Law. What a lovely, wonderful admirable person she is. Thank you Belong - would highly recommend.

Initially, my mother stayed in the Crewe Belong Village for respite care whilst my husband and I went on holidays; as I cared for Mum and she lived with us. She loved the room and staff but missed her own environment. So we decided to try Belong At Home care. A huge success for Mum and us! As Mum became
less mobile, we had a morning call to dress/shower then as her health deteriorated we have 4 calls a day. All of the carers have been so caring, patient, kind and supportive and especially 'brilliant' during the pandemic. So pleased we choose Belong at Home, and so was Mum.

Staff are very kind and caring. The aim of the visits was to encourage my husband to get up, shower and shave. Unfortunately, he often refused help, but despite this, staff were very understanding and patient. Visits were arranged each Monday, Wednesday and Friday and staff were always on time and cheerful.

My parents used the Belong at Home Service for many years before moving into the Belong Village. A consistently good - and regularly outstanding - level of care was provided and my parents came to regard the Belong team as very much a "part of the family." The service was flexible and adaptable to Mum
and Dad's changing needs and I would have no reservations about recommending Belong to any other family in similar circumstances.

My parents have a very long-standing relationship with Belong and used to call into the village to visit relatives long before becoming customers of Belong at Home themselves. Over the many years that carers visited mum and dad, (culminating in four visits for them both per day), they formed very close
personal relationships with several of the carers and valuing the time they had with them, looking forward to seeing them.
I would not hesitate to recommend this service to others.

When I first moved, over a year ago, in Belong Care home, I was concerned I might not 'fit in' but on meeting my carers, my fears were proved groundless. All of them make my life as happy and comfortable as possible, always cheerful, caring and considerate in so many ways. I consider myself very lucky
that I can rely on such kind, knowledgeable and experienced people.

I am completely satisfied with Belong ladies and am largely dependent upon all that they do with me and for me. I feel very fortunate in having Belong services in as many and varied aspects. They come across as people doing this job with personal satisfaction as well as just a paid job.

I found the girls helpful, gentle and kind. My husband was blind and had problems other than cancer and they were particularly aware of this. I am very grateful to them.

Whenever mum has spent time with any of the carers I have felt that she is safe and well cared for. Her needs are unique and these are always recognised. The staff go out of their way to reassure mum. She doesn't think they are her carers, she thinks they are her friends.


They are adaptable, flexible,

caring and safety conscious and always go above and beyond. I am always given feedback on mums visits/outings.

Jane

Jane Gabbert

Job Title: Area Manager

Jane has worked with Belong at Home for the past 13 months. Having progressed within the organisation, from the role of Community Support Worker, to Senior Community Support Worker, before being appointed to the role of Area Manager in January 2020; Jane brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. Jane has previously worked in marketing and has experience in leading teams and performance management. She has worked and lived in both South Africa and America and returned to the UK in 2015 after living most of her life abroad.

Andrew

Andrew Shield

Job Title: Head of Operations (Belong at Home)

Andy is a highly motivated and caring member of the Belong at Home team and its longest-standing colleague, having been appointed as its first community support worker when the service was launched in 2009.


Andy embodies Belong values and has worked across the various Belong at Home regions to support local teams through various challenging periods. He has been instrumental in developing the service to its current level and is committed to taking it to the next level, both in terms of business growth and closer integration with the villages to ensure our services operate in a complementary manner. He is loved and admired by customers and colleagues alike, working closely with his care team and also with other managers, providing support to all who need it. As Head of Operations (Belong at Home), Andrew maintains his focus on the customer, leading by example and showing his usual determination to ensure that clients receive person-centred support from a team in which he is personally invested. Andrew is a great example of someone who lives and breathes the organisation’s ethos, values and culture, and instils these into both his team and other managers. He is a truly inspirational individual.

Rachael

Rachael Gray

Job Title: Practice Development Facilitator

Rachael is an outstanding trainer, who has worked in the Health and Social Care sector for 29 years.


She started with Cheshire County Council in domiciliary care in 1996 and then joined CLS in 1997 where she worked as a Care Assistant and Care Team Leader before progressing to a Care Manager.


Recognising her passion for mentoring and developing others, she made the move to training company, Total People, where she worked for 15 years as a Training Advisor/Assessor/IQA supporting learners through various Health and Social Care qualifications at L2/3/5.


In 2017, she was appointed Practice Development Facilitator for Belong at Home, with responsibility for the professional development of our community support workers across all regions.


An invaluable member of our team, Rachael enjoys empowering others to be able to support customers in a person-centred way to ensure they receive continuity of high quality care.

Elaine

Elaine Wilson

Job Title: Enquiry Manager

Joined: 2016

Elaine brings a wealth of care sector experience to her role as Senior Enquiry Manager for Belong at Home and, above all, carries it out with enormous empathy and compassion.


She has supported the expansion of Belong’s home care service since 2016, providing advice, information and guidance to people seeking support in their own homes.


Prior to that she worked as Enquiry Manager for CLS Care Services for a number of years, applying her previous extensive experience as a frontline carer to bear in her ability to support enquirers through the process of finding the right care setting, as well as supporting managers to promote their care services effectively.


Elaine’s caring qualities have been honed over a long career in the care sector, which she first joined in 1988, holding a variety of roles, including Care Assistant, Activity Co-ordinator and Team Leader, before working as a highly effective Registered Home Manager for 15 years.
