It was such a relief to employ Home Instead to come to the rescue after my 89 year old Mother suddenly declined and I was overwhelmed with the responsibility of her care.
I found them to always be prompt, kind & caring, efficient and professional. My Mother was treated with dignity throughout all her visits and nothing was too much trouble. They always stayed their allotted time and sometimes when able stayed longer.
They slotted in with my Mums routine with ease helping my Mother get up, showering her, making her a cup of tea and giving her breakfast . They even put the washing on tided round and put the bin out.
They kept in close contact with me and through their app, I was updated with what they had done and how my Mother was feeling, after every call.
An excellent service
Many thanks for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. It is lovely to read how good our care was for your mother. It was a pleasure to support her in her own home, where she is happiest. Many thanks again with kind regards Anitra
I went away for a short Mon to Fri break and had a live in carer from Home Instead to supervise and look after my husband, who has Alzheimer's disease.
The carer was great and my husband took to her very well. She entertained him and they had a good laugh. She took him out and about, prepared meals and encouraged him to maintain personal hygiene - not always easy. She also cleaned and tidied the house and sorted laundry.
I would recommend her and the Field Care Manager of Home Instead.
I hope to repeat the experience in the future.
So delighted that we were able to facilitate you to have a break. Our Care Professional really enjoyed her week with our client. Thank you for mentioning our Care Pro and the Field Care Manager, it means a great deal to all of us. With kind regards Anitra
Help on tasks as required, particularly dealing with 3 cats' trays and other tasks, e.g. watering plants. Helpers always on time. Jobs included emptying dishwasher and washing machine, and putting away/hanging to dry. No personal care, light house duties as I have a cleaner for those. I have no use of my right hand at the moment and stiffness of my arm and shoulder, so the tasks have been adjusted to those problems. No problems with service provided.
Many thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely review, it means a great deal to the whole team. With kind regards Anitra
Homeinstead carers are reliable, consistently kind and truly caring. They take the time to get to know their clients. Dad looks forward to their visits and is very grateful for their professional delivery of care. As a family we would be lost without them!

Home Instead provided a great service for mum, initially assisting with personal hygiene and then quickly increasing to daily support, helping with dressing and breakfast. The care staff were always capable, caring and friendly. They were punctual and cover was quickly arranged for sickness and holiday. All appointments were reliably kept and contact maintained with family members. Mum enjoyed their services for several months which enabled her to live independently for a little longer.

Very professional company who have been efficient and helpful from day one. The app has been vey useful, I am able to follow visits made to my father - which is reassuring. His carer has remained the same which has resulted in a kind and trusting friendship for him. Also helping my mother with small domestic tasks as needed. Any queries which have arisen are quickly communicated and dealt with promptly.
Dear Jane Thank you for such a wonderful review, its means so much to all of the team. Its is an absolutely pleasure to support your father to live independantly in his own home. With kind regards Anitra
The carers were so friendly but also professional in helping my dad get up, showered and dressed. They would make him some toast and a cup of coffee and chat to my mum too.
This set up was great for my dad and a massive relief for my mum.
Where possible my dad had the same carers each time however any changes were advised in advance and to be honest it was nice to have a variety of people call by to help. Bianca, Sam, Janet and Aaron were my dad's regular team and were all great with him.
Claire (team manager) checked in regularly with us.
For situations where your parents are not ready to go into a care home but need some interim support allowing them to remain at home and enjoy home comforts, I strongly recommend Home Instead.

We approached Home Instead to provide care for my father who has dementia and to support my mother with his care. Unfortunately, in the same week my mother fell and broke her shoulder meaning they both needed care. Home Instead very quickly stepped in and organised excellent care to help both of them. Several weeks on and we have been able to reduce the amount of daily visits as my mother's mobility has improved. We couldn't be happier with the care. All the staff are very caring, kind, patient and have a great attention to detail. Communication is also excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. It means so much to the whole team. It is our absolute pleasure to support your parents, they are both such lovely people. My best.
Our carers are outstanding , always on time , with a big happy smile .
They tend to my husbands needs allowing me to get other jobs done and nothing is to much of a problem .
I enjoy seeing them every morning having a quick chat before they start the care.
They are kind and caring and very efficient , and we have a good relationship with them all.
The office staff are equally efficient and helpful.
I've been recommending Home Instead to friends who have asked about my husbands care company.
Many thanks for such a lovely review. It is such an honour to support your husband to live home independantly, he is so inspirational. Your team really enjoy thier visits to you both. With very best wishes

Meet the Team (7)
Setting up my own business has been part of a truly life-changing period of my life. In 2010 I received the devastating news that I had secondary cancer. Since then life has been a whirlwind of treatment (all successful thank goodness) and making major changes to ensure that I live the life I want to in the future. It may sound strange but the experience I have been through has genuinely changed my life for the better. The people that I have met in the care sector have been amazing and have inspired me to do something worthwhile and meaningful, to dedicate myself to helping others.
I have left behind my job as an executive of a company that took me to America and across Europe for a role which is much more important to me, one where I can use my knowledge and business experience to do what really matters in life, which is ensuring good quality care is available for people when they need it.
My role is to provide leadership and direction to the team to ensure we focus on our values. I spend time developing the team, planning for the future and maintaining our relationships in the Windsor and Chertsey community. If you need good dementia or at-home care for yourself or for a loved one, please contact us to discuss how we can help.
I currently live in Wraysbury (and have done so on and off since 1977) with my 86 year-old mum. I moved back home full time in 2014 after the sudden and unexpected death of my dad – everyone says, “oh, it’s lovely that you look after your mum” but it’s actually the other way round; mum still looks after me – I get a cup of tea at 6.45 am and the offer of porridge if I would like it, plus evening meals and a magic washing basket!
I was a Metropolitan Police Officer for 21 years, followed by 14 years as manager of a Bureau De Change business in Central London and then 6 years as a Security Courier for a Foreign Exchange Wholesaler in Victoria. I am also a qualified Toastmaster (Red Tailcoat) officiating at Weddings, Civic Functions and large events.
So how did I become a CAREGiver? – As a result of the first lockdown in March 2020, all my business opportunities dried up. After spending three months working in the garden and house, I started to look around for a nice part-time job. I saw the advert for Home Instead Windsor and thought, “I can do that!” so I applied. I was successful with my application and joined in June 2020. I absolutely loved meeting my new clients and with the help and encouragement of my fellow CAREGivers and Supervisors, I quickly settled into the role. My part-time job rapidly became full time and I have really enjoyed learning about all aspects of personal care and in particular challenging behaviour and dementia.
Towards the end of November last year, I applied for the role of Area Supervisor, and much to my surprise, I was accepted. I am working hard to learn the necessary skills to support my clients and CAREGivers – being a “Techno-Dinosaur” doesn’t help but you will always see me with a smile on my face.
I am responsible for supporting my wonderful team of Care Professionals to meet the evolving needs of our existing clients' tailored support plans, as well as meeting with new clients and their family members to make sure we are there to reassure them and give peace of mind that we will find a way to meet their needs.
My role is to ensure our lovely clients get the care they need at the time they would like it and all of the communication touch points and administration around it.
I am responsible for overall office organisation. This includes answering all telephone queries, greeting visitors and managing who is where!
I am delighted to have joined the Home Instead team in the role of Finance Assistant. I will be dealing with all client invoicing and Care Pro payroll.
In 2013, I decided I needed a career change. Day in day out my job was always the same, so after careful consideration and discussions with my husband, I left to seek something more rewarding. It didn’t take me long. I saw an advertisement to become a CAREGiver with Home Instead Windsor, applied and never looked back.
My day to day routine is never the same, but every day I smile. Whether it be with my wonderful clients who I visit on a regular basis or one of the girls I work with within the office. I have the best of both worlds.
My clients are special to me and I hope they get as much pleasure with me visiting them, as they give to me. We laugh, we sing, we sometimes cry but every day is rewarding, and I leave with the knowledge that today, I made a difference in someone’s life, albeit a small difference.
Equally, my work in the office making our wonderful CAREGivers compliant is very rewarding. We have mad days and glad days, but we get through them together as a team and we smile.
For me there is no other job, I just wish I had changed careers 30 years ago.
