Thank you Home Instead for your superb service, I would recommend you and your carers wholeheartedly.
From all at Home Instead.
My mother has received excellent care, always delivered with kindness, respect, and efficiency since March 2021 by all of the staff and caregivers. Mum's health improved greatly with her two caregivers a day and she was always happy to see them, felt cared for well, encouraged to go outside with them, play board games, and eat more healthily. All the things that I couldn't do as I live too far away, apart from when I stayed a few days. I felt reassured that I could leave mum after a visit, knowing that she was in very capable hands. The care app also put my mind at ease. Age and declining health have now come to the point where she is now better suited for 24/7 care in a lovely care home near myself and my husband, but she is doing well. Home Instead prepared mum for living well again, keeping her independence for the maximum period possible and becoming more sociable. There was always a sense of fun and genuine, mutual love in her home. Thank you so much for this!
Thank you so much for your kind review. It really does mean so much to both us and her team of Caregivers.
Best wishes from the Home Instead team
We have been using Home Instead (Windsor, Runnymede & West Spelthorne) for a few years. The carers have been kind, efficient and have been very attentive to my mother-in-law. They give me peace of mind because we can be assured she is getting the care she needs. I would like to thank them for what they do week in and week out without us worrying that she is getting the care she deserves.
Many thanks for your kind review. It is so appreciated and means a lot to the team.
We had a number of different care providers to choose from and are so happy we chose Home Instead. The small team are all very human and genuinely care for our mother, who is quite discerning. The manager who leads her professional team is also fully hands-on and even washed our mother's hair with real care, putting a huge smile on her face. Also reassuring her throughout and putting the family at ease knowing our mother is in safe hands. We hear so many awful stories about carers, but we have nothing but good things to say.
Many thanks for your lovely review. It is so appreciated. Best wishes, all at Home Instead.
Home Instead have been looking after my mother, and my father before that, for many years. They have always been straightforward to deal with, have communicated clearly and in a timely manner, and have provided proficient and kind carers. I would fully recommend them.
She placed two brilliant caregivers, who were both so kind, caring, reliable, and professional, and treated me with dignity and empathy. Without a doubt, they were responsible for my recovery, and I really enjoyed their company. I cannot recommend Home Instead enough and am extremely grateful to all the team I had the pleasure of speaking to or meeting. Thank you to all the team, you are outstanding.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review.
Both carers have turned up on time and carried out what has been asked of them in a very professional way. My father seems to have settled in with both carers which was our main worry as a family.
Home Instead are simply amazing! Responsive, reliable, caring and compassionate. The support and care given to my elderly mother has been exemplary and has given such reassurance to the family during a difficult period. I can’t thank the Home Instead team enough!
Best Wishes All at Home Instead.
And from the very first contact, these guys were wonderful. The overall experience was great.
All the staff treated myself and more important my Mum with huge respect and dignity.
I'll be forever thankful for all your help and giving Mum plenty of support, compassion and care during her last days.
Best Wishes.
A positive experience from start to finish. Kind, caring people who did their best to assist and did all they could to provide a good and efficient service for the client. Would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you all.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It is so appreciated.
Her team of carers enabled our Mum to remain as independent as possible in her flat, providing her with lovely social contacts as well as personal care.
Mum's end-of-life care highlighted the exceptional quality of the Home Instead staff. The carers were all so professional and compassionate. The fact that they provided us with much-needed support at such short notice was also so important.
It was an absolute pleasure to look after your mum who was much loved by all the team . Thank you for using Home Instead .
We needed support very quickly for my mum and Home Instead promptly responded to all emails, phones calls and swiftly arranged a home visit. They have been thorough to ensure all care arrangements, paperwork and necessary support are in place. Visits were made for caregivers to be introduced to both myself and my mum before officially starting which was of great reassurance for us. The app is very useful to check on daily visits and overall we have been very impressed with the whole service of Home Instead from the people in the office, managers and caregivers. I would definitely recommend their service and feel very lucky that the support they provide ensures my mum can maintain her independence at home.
Excellent support for my mother following a dementia diagnosis. A fantastic, caring, dedicated team that went above and beyond what I expected. Home Instead demonstrated how valuable good caring can be when provided by motivated and experienced staff. A great team that talks to each other to ensure continuity of care and provides their feedback and advice to family members. I would not hesitate in recommending them, they supported my mother, keeping her safe and enabling her to continue living at home. Equally importantly they provided great genuine companionship for her that I know she always looked forward to.

When I first contacted Home Instead for help with washing and dressing my husband in the mornings I was worried that he would be as cantankerous with them as he is with me. I was reassured by the supervisor of the team that that was unlikely to happen and now, a few months on, I am so grateful that I have the delightful carer who, from the very first time, has been able to cope with him with skill, efficiency and kindness. I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone who needs help with caring for a loved one.
I just wanted to leave a glowing review for the fantastic team at Home Instead. They began caring for my dad a couple of years back until he went into a residential care home, full time. All the caregivers are lovely and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Dad was very fond of all of them and still is, and counts them as friends. I remain very impressed by how organised Home Instead are and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for care for elderly relatives. Full marks!
Members of staff at Home Instead have been extremely helpful during difficult times of the pandemic. The staff are all very friendly, flexible and accommodating. The quality of the care had been generally of a very high standard.
When we needed to up Mum’s care, Home Instead were brilliant and put together an excellent team for us. They now feel like friends. They keep a close eye on Mum, always updating us with any concerns. We will miss them all. I would recommend Home Instead to anyone. They have been a great support - when times have been difficult for our family, they have made things much easier for us.
My Auntie was cared for by Home Instead (Windsor, Runnymede and West Spelthorne) for almost a year. We were very pleased with the quality of care. The girls who went in were a great support, especially as this was during lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Nothing was too much trouble. Communication was excellent and I was never made to feel a nuisance. I don’t live close by to Auntie, so to know that I could rely on the team gave me great comfort.
The care given to Dad and me was so caring and personal, everyone was a great support to me and my family.
Thank you to everyone at Home Instead.
I have no doubt that without this team of people our journey would be much harder, sad and stressful than it is. Thank you.

Meet the Team (7)
Setting up my own business has been part of a truly life-changing period of my life. In 2010 I received the devastating news that I had secondary cancer. Since then life has been a whirlwind of treatment (all successful thank goodness) and making major changes to ensure that I live the life I want to in the future. It may sound strange but the experience I have been through has genuinely changed my life for the better. The people that I have met in the care sector have been amazing and have inspired me to do something worthwhile and meaningful, to dedicate myself to helping others.
I have left behind my job as an executive of a company that took me to America and across Europe for a role which is much more important to me, one where I can use my knowledge and business experience to do what really matters in life, which is ensuring good quality care is available for people when they need it.
My role is to provide leadership and direction to the team to ensure we focus on our values. I spend time developing the team, planning for the future and maintaining our relationships in the Windsor and Chertsey community. If you need good dementia or at-home care for yourself or for a loved one, please contact us to discuss how we can help.
I currently live in Wraysbury (and have done so on and off since 1977) with my 86 year-old mum. I moved back home full time in 2014 after the sudden and unexpected death of my dad – everyone says, “oh, it’s lovely that you look after your mum” but it’s actually the other way round; mum still looks after me – I get a cup of tea at 6.45 am and the offer of porridge if I would like it, plus evening meals and a magic washing basket!
I was a Metropolitan Police Officer for 21 years, followed by 14 years as manager of a Bureau De Change business in Central London and then 6 years as a Security Courier for a Foreign Exchange Wholesaler in Victoria. I am also a qualified Toastmaster (Red Tailcoat) officiating at Weddings, Civic Functions and large events.
So how did I become a CAREGiver? – As a result of the first lockdown in March 2020, all my business opportunities dried up. After spending three months working in the garden and house, I started to look around for a nice part-time job. I saw the advert for Home Instead Windsor and thought, “I can do that!” so I applied. I was successful with my application and joined in June 2020. I absolutely loved meeting my new clients and with the help and encouragement of my fellow CAREGivers and Supervisors, I quickly settled into the role. My part-time job rapidly became full time and I have really enjoyed learning about all aspects of personal care and in particular challenging behaviour and dementia.
Towards the end of November last year, I applied for the role of Area Supervisor, and much to my surprise, I was accepted. I am working hard to learn the necessary skills to support my clients and CAREGivers – being a “Techno-Dinosaur” doesn’t help but you will always see me with a smile on my face.
I am responsible for supporting my wonderful team of Care Professionals to meet the evolving needs of our existing clients' tailored support plans, as well as meeting with new clients and their family members to make sure we are there to reassure them and give peace of mind that we will find a way to meet their needs.
My role is to ensure our lovely clients get the care they need at the time they would like it and all of the communication touch points and administration around it.
I am responsible for overall office organisation. This includes answering all telephone queries, greeting visitors and managing who is where!
I am delighted to have joined the Home Instead team in the role of Finance Assistant. I will be dealing with all client invoicing and Care Pro payroll.
In 2013, I decided I needed a career change. Day in day out my job was always the same, so after careful consideration and discussions with my husband, I left to seek something more rewarding. It didn’t take me long. I saw an advertisement to become a CAREGiver with Home Instead Windsor, applied and never looked back.
My day to day routine is never the same, but every day I smile. Whether it be with my wonderful clients who I visit on a regular basis or one of the girls I work with within the office. I have the best of both worlds.
My clients are special to me and I hope they get as much pleasure with me visiting them, as they give to me. We laugh, we sing, we sometimes cry but every day is rewarding, and I leave with the knowledge that today, I made a difference in someone’s life, albeit a small difference.
Equally, my work in the office making our wonderful CAREGivers compliant is very rewarding. We have mad days and glad days, but we get through them together as a team and we smile.
For me there is no other job, I just wish I had changed careers 30 years ago.
