I was very ill at ease when I first realised that I needed help in my day to day living due to a serious accident. I am ashamed to say I fought against it for ages causing some trouble for my family and for the carer who was gracious throughout.
All my carers could not have been more ‘caring’, always
mindful of my dignity and need to do as much as I could. I will be forever grateful to them all for all the help in the many ways they gave me.

Bluebird Care North Hampshire & West Berkshire are the fifth Care Agency we have had since my wife had a stroke in 2017. All the other Agencies have handed back the package to Hampshire for one reason or another. I can honestly say that Bluebird are by far and away the best we have had and we hope that
long may this continue.
Attention to detailed care is exemplary with a willingness to go above and beyond.

When the care first started it was excellent - we were advised that carers were salaried and therefore we would always have the same three carers except for holidays and sickness. This was perfect as my father had dementia and my mother had anxiety. The continuity was just what was required and both
parents developed relationships with the carers. Unfortunately, this did not continue and suddenly it was a different carer every time. This distressed both parents and instead of lighting my load made more work for me. The service continued to deteriorate - even sending carers who couldn’t drive - on a day my father went to daycare. I was considering live-in as my father was becoming more demanding but felt I could not trust the service. I gave notice as felt I could deliver a better service myself. I can’t rate the staff correctly as the first three were exceptions but the rest weren’t able to develop relationships due to constant change.

You were kind enough to provide a glowing compliment about our service previously which reflected your positive experience. We are sorry that we were not able to maintain this.
We have reviewed the service we provided to you; 194 visits, of which 169 (87%) by 4 key care staff. The remaining 25 were delivered by 8 others. This number is higher than we would like and reflects the challenges we had in the spring and early summer. Whilst we feel that this is still a good service, it falls short of the outstanding target we aim for.
The non-driver was part of the core team. On the day you refer to, we were unaware that a driver was required. We apologise for this error but we are happy we were able to send another key Care Assistant and arrived at the day centre on time.
We hope your planned move away from the area goes well and you find care that suits your needs.

Mum has been cared for by a live-in carer for nearly two years with twice-daily domiciliary care added more recently. The carers from Bluebird Care have, almost without exception, been caring, kind and proficient.
Office staff are polite and usually return calls in a timely fashion. They always do
their best to resolve problems once they have understood the issue.
I take great confidence from knowing Mum is being well cared for.

My considered choice of care agency and I could not be more pleased having experienced the dire alternative. I am provided with a very high standard of personal care and rehabilitation support, reliably and skillfully endowed as a fully integrated service by an experienced business model. All my care
and daily living needs are looked after, washing, dressing, food preparation and laundry as well as full proficiency in transfer methods and with learned knowledge of skincare and all aspects of safety together with prescribed medicine handling and administration. All my carers are charming and intuitive, ready to share a smile in light-hearted interaction. Quality and humanity are at the heart of Bluebird Care provision and I am delighted with my own choice of care agency and Bluebird Care will map a care plan that will suit you and your exact needs. Not sure of exact date. Outcome of the review was good as there were many issues to be resolved.
Times of care were changed to enable the client to have food before going to bed.
Sometimes my sister doesn’t understand staff as they are from different countries. With time this has improved as she has
become accustomed to them. We are all happy with the care provided as it’s constant and we’re never let down.

My father is in his early 90s and has terminal cancer which has severely restricted his ability to get out and compromised his day-to-day life. He relies very heavily on his carer to prepare meals, deal with his medication and his general movement around the house. The Bluebird Care carer, who is live-in,
has been nothing less than excellent and supported my father at all times. He is monitored daily and his notes are available online for me to check. I would recommend Bluebird Care.

Overall, Bluebird Care offer one of the better services in the care industry.
The carers are excellent, hard-working and diligent. They are always professional and offer support where it is needed. They are always polite and respectful.
The office staff do their best to meet any requests and in general,
keep us informed of any last-minute changes in care provision.

First-class service. The carers are really good with my mum and treat her with respect and kindness.
It’s hard accepting strangers coming into your home but my mum has adapted well because she has been well looked after.

I have found Bluebird Care excellent. They are patient with Mother and always report back to me regarding any concerns. Initially, Mother did not want carers but as I am disabled, awaiting major surgery which puts me unable to help, everything will be left for my sister who works full-time and struggles
having to visit every day.
It gives us the security of knowing she is alright and had someone to chat to.
The staff make her feel better and has now accepted that at 90 years she deserves the extra support and the knowledge that if she falls she won't be on the floor for days.

Carers and management in my opinion are the best around by far. Very caring and very professional.
The care company is definitely the best in my area. Would highly recommend them. Management has been wonderful and always supportive when you need them at the end of the phone.

Reliable team of carers, mostly on time. They have learnt the ropes quite quickly. Pleasant and efficient staff. Much less absence and changing of care calls.
Occasional issues with invoices were resolved. A big issue with increasing fees though, they keep going up and up, to the point of cancelling
all bank holiday calls. I'm told most of the increases go to the carers, which is good, but nonetheless, 10% increases every year for three years do add up!

My nonagenarian aunt’s mobility has become increasingly compromised over the last 12 months and it is only with the support of her Bluebird carers that she has been able to remain in her home environment. As she is now housebound, my aunt relies on her carers to prepare her meals and provide support
with personal hygiene; and, as a valuable side effect, the social interaction with her friendly carers is stimulating for her. As my aunt’s closest relation, but living some 60 miles away, Bluebird Care provides me with reassurance that her ongoing health and well-being is monitored daily - which I can check on the online care notes. Most of the staff are good, some are excellent.

My mother-in-law had to have care following a stay in hospital left her with limited mobility over a year ago. Unfortunately we are now at a stage where her condition means she will have to move into a care home. She has had carers from Bluebird Care during this time and they have proved invaluable
in enabling her to remain at home for as long as she has. They have been friendly and professional, as well as providing her with a much needed contact. We cannot thank the staff enough for their care and compassion as well as their help.

Bluebird Carers looked after my mum from April 2021 - August 2022. Their Customer Supervisor met with me initially to discuss my mum's needs and a care plan was put into action.
All visits were recorded on an app, which I had access to - this I found very useful. The Care Plan was assessed at intervals
to check that the support was appropriate and changed if necessary.
All the Carers were helpful, understanding and sensitive to the needs and requirements of my mum. They reported any concerns and these were followed up and dealt with.
My Mum had Carers coming in 3 times a day - preparation of meals, getting her up in the morning and putting her to bed. They also completed some household tasks ( hoovering, washing, general cleaning ).
My mum kept them on their toes but all of her Carers responded in a caring and sensitive manner.


Overall I found Bluebird Carers and the Office Staff to be professional and offer a friendly service.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Company

All the carers are very good and will do whatever we ask for. They are very caring and also nice people to have around. They report anything that needs attention i.e. broken skin, bruises etc,
The carers are friendly and it is good when we have the ones we have got to know well they can assess how
my husband is as they know him. He also likes people he knows as it is less traumatic for him.

Amazing!!! Bluebird are everything you could wish to look after you or a loved one.
The Care Champion and her team are a real credit to Bluebird.
They customise the service needed just for you.
She got her team all PEG trained so my mum could come home from hospital and be cared for at home.
This
is great news, as they are now able to help more people in the community that need Support with a PEG.
I appreciate everything you have done and am very grateful.

My dealings with Bluebird have far exceeded my expectations. The staff I have dealt with are professional, knowledgeable, and clearly very caring. Also, they have made some very useful suggestions to help us. I was concerned that my mother would not be pleased about having help... in fact, she is delighted

Tamsin’s career moved into Dementia Healthcare in 2017 after gaining an NVQ3 in Dementia Care studies during the pandemic lockdowns, in her previous role as a Dementia Adviser in Oxfordshire.  Before this, she had worked for many years as a CIPD-qualified Human Resources Generalist, working in Education/Care settings.
