The care we receive for our mum has been brilliant. It helps to give us peace of mind knowing that Mum is well looked after each call and if there are any concerns we can get in touch with the office to make any relevant changes to the care plan.
Thank you for your kind words and review. Caring for Mum is a pleasure, and we are pleased to hear it gives you peace of mind knowing she is well cared for.
The service has been really good, and I’m so grateful! Always very punctual and helpful with all aspects of my routine while getting up/getting back to bed, and very kind staff! I would be happy to use this company again!
Dear Lydia, thank you for taking the time to provide helpful feedback. We are pleased we were able to support you during your time at Oaksey House. We would be delighted to support you in the future for any return visit you may make. Wishing you a very Happy Christmas.
The carers always treated my mother with respect. Some carers were clearly more persuasive in being able to get my mother washed and dressed, but all the carers treated her with respect.
Many thanks for your review and your very kind words. It has been an absolute pleasure working with you and providing care and support to Mum. We hope Mum is recovering well and settling into residential care, Mum will be very much missed by all.
We had been a client of Bluebird for a number of years, using both domiciliary and live-in care for my 90-year-old mother-in-law. We have been very pleased with the care team, both the carers and the managers. The only concern we had was that most of the carers do not have UK driving licences and living in a rural area have had to organise transport on the few occasions it has been needed. Continuity has been pretty good with the odd exception which is to be expected. Due to a change of circumstances we needed to change our relationship with Bluebird which was handled professionally and compassionately by the management team. I would have no hesitation in recommending Bluebird.
Many thanks for your review and very kind words, it has been a pleasure providing both domiciliary and live-in care for your mother-in-law. She will be very much missed by all, I am very glad we were able to support her in the smooth transition and hope she is doing well, please pass on our...
All my carers could not have been more ‘caring’, always mindful of my dignity and need to do as much as I could. I will be forever grateful to them all for all the help in the many ways they gave me.
Many thanks for your positive response and thanks sent to all of our team, it has been a pleasure putting care and support in place for you at a very difficult time. It was no trouble at all and your reluctance was totally understandable, we have complete empathy for you, your husband suffering...
Attention to detailed care is exemplary with a willingness to go above and beyond.
Many thanks for your positive review and kind words, this is very much appreciated by all at Bluebird Care. It has been an absolute pleasure providing care and support for the last year and the care assistants have managed to build a special professional bond. Here is to many more years to come with the reassurance we will always aim to go above and beyond.
When the care first started it was excellent - we were advised that carers were salaried and therefore we would always have the same three carers except for holidays and sickness. This was perfect as my father had dementia and my mother had anxiety. The continuity was just what was required and both parents developed relationships with the carers. Unfortunately, this did not continue and suddenly it was a different carer every time. This distressed both parents and instead of lighting my load made more work for me. The service continued to deteriorate - even sending carers who couldn’t drive - on a day my father went to daycare. I was considering live-in as my father was becoming more demanding but felt I could not trust the service. I gave notice as felt I could deliver a better service myself. I can’t rate the staff correctly as the first three were exceptions but the rest weren’t able to develop relationships due to constant change.
You were kind enough to provide a glowing compliment about our service previously which reflected your positive experience. We are sorry that we were not able to maintain...
Office staff are polite and usually return calls in a timely fashion. They always do their best to resolve problems once they have understood the issue.
I take great confidence from knowing Mum is being well cared for.
Many thanks for your review and kind words, we all appreciate it very much. Mum is a pleasure to provide care for with a very supportive family who have always worked closely alongside the team. Best wishes and hope Mum is settling in well to her new home setting.
My considered choice of care agency and I could not be more pleased having experienced the dire alternative. I am provided with a very high standard of personal care and rehabilitation support, reliably and skillfully endowed as a fully integrated service by an experienced business model. All my care and daily living needs are looked after, washing, dressing, food preparation and laundry as well as full proficiency in transfer methods and with learned knowledge of skincare and all aspects of safety together with prescribed medicine handling and administration. All my carers are charming and intuitive, ready to share a smile in light-hearted interaction. Quality and humanity are at the heart of Bluebird Care provision and I am delighted with my own choice of care agency and Bluebird Care will map a care plan that will suit you and your exact needs. Bluebird Care has a superb administration and office set-up that is there for you.
It is with great pleasure that we were able to meet with you yourself, although in difficult circumstances, to discuss all your care and support needs and also giving the reassurance needed following this to ensure you received an alternative experience. Thank you so much for your kind words of...
Times of care were changed to enable the client to have food before going to bed.
Sometimes my sister doesn’t understand staff as they are from different countries. With time this has improved as she has become accustomed to them. We are all happy with the care provided as it’s constant and we’re never let down.
Many thanks for your positive review, it has been a pleasure working with yourself and your sister for the last five years with many, many laughs along the way. We are delighted things have improved and looking forward to providing care and support for many more years to come. If we can assist with anything else please do not hesitate in contacting the team, we would be more than happy to help.
My father is in his early 90s and has terminal cancer which has severely restricted his ability to get out and compromised his day-to-day life. He relies very heavily on his carer to prepare meals, deal with his medication and his general movement around the house. The Bluebird Care carer, who is live-in, has been nothing less than excellent and supported my father at all times. He is monitored daily and his notes are available online for me to check. I would recommend Bluebird Care.
Many thanks for your review about our live-in service, it is a pleasure to work with you both and support Dad along his care journey. It is wonderful that our care assistant has met your expectations and more and it is a pleasure working with you both ensuring the right care and support is in place.
The carers are excellent, hard-working and diligent. They are always professional and offer support where it is needed. They are always polite and respectful.
The office staff do their best to meet any requests and in general, keep us informed of any last-minute changes in care provision.
We remember visiting you both when your husband was in respite really keen to come home in February 2016. Many thanks for your positive review, the care assistants have built an amazing rapport with you both over the past 7 years and look forward to many more.
It’s hard accepting strangers coming into your home but my mum has adapted well because she has been well looked after.
Many thanks for your positive review, it is a huge decision in accepting people into the home that are unknown to provide care and support. Mum has done extremely well accepting this and it has been a pleasure working with you all and we look forward to many more years.
It gives us the security of knowing she is alright and had someone to chat to.
The staff make her feel better and has now accepted that at 90 years she deserves the extra support and the knowledge that if she falls she won't be on the floor for days.
Many thanks for your positive review and feedback it has been a pleasure providing care and support for Mum, we hope your operation goes well and we will always be here to support you all. It is lovely to see Mum now accepting the support as previously very reluctant, if there is anything else we can do please do not hesitate in contacting the team.
The care company is definitely the best in my area. Would highly recommend them. Management has been wonderful and always supportive when you need them at the end of the phone.
Many thanks for your positive review it has been a pleasure working alongside you to build a very person-centred care plan. We look forward to many more years to come especially with the laughs and stories.
Occasional issues with invoices were resolved. A big issue with increasing fees though, they keep going up and up, to the point of cancelling all bank holiday calls. I'm told most of the increases go to the carers, which is good, but nonetheless, 10% increases every year for three years do add up!
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review, it is much appreciated, particularly the lovely comments about our care staff. We do understand that increasing fees are a concern, however, as you point out our charge rate increases have almost exclusively been invested in recruitment and...
Care provided is of excellent standards; they have dignity and respect, good rapport, maintain continuity, and implement independence as far as possible to enable the person to be independent themselves. When you need to contact the company, they have clear communication, are professional, have a good understanding, and are very supportive. Would recommend Bluebird Care.
Many thanks for your wonderful review; this means a lot to us. It has been a pleasure providing care and support for Aunty for the last six years, providing companionship, shopping visits, and maintaining her independence at all times. The care assistants have all built a strong relationship with her and are looking forward to more years to come, with lots more miles and laughter on the way.
My nonagenarian aunt’s mobility has become increasingly compromised over the last 12 months and it is only with the support of her Bluebird carers that she has been able to remain in her home environment. As she is now housebound, my aunt relies on her carers to prepare her meals and provide support with personal hygiene; and, as a valuable side effect, the social interaction with her friendly carers is stimulating for her. As my aunt’s closest relation, but living some 60 miles away, Bluebird Care provides me with reassurance that her ongoing health and well-being is monitored daily - which I can check on the online care notes. Most of the staff are good, some are excellent.
Many thanks for your positive review, it is very much appreciated by all of the team. It has been an absolute pleasure to provide care and support for your aunt and with close communication with yourself to enable continuity, social interaction and the stimulation required. We look forward to continuing to provide care and support for your aunt.
My mother-in-law had to have care following a stay in hospital left her with limited mobility over a year ago. Unfortunately we are now at a stage where her condition means she will have to move into a care home. She has had carers from Bluebird Care during this time and they have proved invaluable in enabling her to remain at home for as long as she has. They have been friendly and professional, as well as providing her with a much needed contact. We cannot thank the staff enough for their care and compassion as well as their help.
Thank you again for leaving us this response!
All visits were recorded on an app, which I had access to - this I found very useful. The Care Plan was assessed at intervals to check that the support was appropriate and changed if necessary.
All the Carers were helpful, understanding and sensitive to the needs and requirements of my mum. They reported any concerns and these were followed up and dealt with.
My Mum had Carers coming in 3 times a day - preparation of meals, getting her up in the morning and putting her to bed. They also completed some household tasks ( hoovering, washing, general cleaning ).
My mum kept them on their toes but all of her Carers responded in a caring and sensitive manner.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Company
Thank you, and have a fantastic day!

Tamsin’s career moved into Dementia Healthcare in 2017 after gaining an NVQ3 in Dementia Care studies during the pandemic lockdowns, in her previous role as a Dementia Adviser in Oxfordshire. Before this, she had worked for many years as a CIPD-qualified Human Resources Generalist, working in Education/Care settings. Tamsin has always been a people-focused person, so the move into person-centred Dementia Care has been a natural progression as well as somewhat of a passion. Tamsin is delighted to be able to continue using her specialist experience, skills and dementia knowledge, with our customers affected by dementia. She sees supporting and advising their family members as an extremely important side of her role in this new position with Bluebird Care in West Berkshire and North Hampshire.
