Although when we first met Dad, he was very reluctant to receive care and support at home, he has done very well, especially following the very sad loss of Mum. Our care assistants love visiting, and it's brilliant to see Dad responding well now with our live-in support in place, which is a huge change for him.

Our care assistants love visiting weekly, and Mum really appears to enjoy the chats and company with a cup of tea and cake relaxing in the garden. Tamsin’s career moved into Dementia Healthcare in 2017 after gaining an NVQ3 in Dementia Care studies during the pandemic lockdowns, in her previous role as a Dementia Adviser in Oxfordshire. Before this, she had worked for many years as a CIPD-qualified Human Resources Generalist, working in Education/Care settings. Tamsin has always been a people-focussed person so the move into person-centred Dementia Care has been a natural progression as well as somewhat of a passion. Tamsin is delighted to be able to continue using her specialist experience, skills and dementia knowledge, with our customers affected by dementia. She sees supporting and advising their family members as an extremely important side of her role in this new position with Bluebird Care in West Berkshire and North Hampshire.
